  My custom label warning: I'm a newbie, forced to be a generator of queries of database by need, please bear with my horrible explanations. I searched Google this until the end of google and can not find an answer to my particular problem, if I was able to solve many questions to get here - so, I'll try.
  
  Now, I have determined that a NOTICE that I had written for purposes of end-user reports using crystals, our 11 g database, wasn't going to work. I needed to integrate date parameters IN the body of the view/query. So I thought I'd build myself a packaged procedure.

  HOWEVER - I now understand that the procedures work as seen in that, if I have specific tables selected, in the procedure, users who run it must have separate SELECT privileges on each table referenced in the procedure? I don't have to do it, with a view, aren't I right? If I build a view and a PUBLIC SYNONYM for this point of view, and grant SELECT to the role that users have, they can see the data.

  I don't know what you mean by 'embed' date settings.
  There are ways to have a view depend of parameters, such as the view does not have to be recompiled when the parameters change. I wouldn't say that the settings are included in the view. In addition, different sessions can use the display at the same time, each (potentially) with its own parameters.
  One way to store the parameters so that the view can refer to them is a global temporary Table.
  (Variables SYS_CONTEXT is another, but for the DATE parameters, I think a global temporary table would be easier).

  There are 2 types of procedures: AUTHID DEFINE and AUTHID CURRENT_USER.
  AUTHID DEFINE is the default value. When the tracks of the procedure, everything inside is done with the privileges of the owner of the procedure, so that the owner of the procedure needs the privileges on the tables, views, and other necessary procedures. The user who runs it must only EXECUTE privileges on the procedure itself.
  AUTHID CURRENT_USER is as you have described above. One who executes the procedure needs privileges on all objects referenced in the procedure.

  It's true. If, for example, they want to make reference to the view from their own point of view, or in the stored procedures, but no not just to use the view in queries, users need additional privileges. Notice that this is similar way privileges are dealt with in the AUTHID DEFINE procedures.

  No, EXECUTE privileges can be granted through roles.
  Perhaps you are blend with the privileges of the object. If the procedure is AUTHID DEFINE, then the owner of the procedure must have all the necessary privileges granted directly, not by a role. This only applies to the owner; others who call the procedure just EXECUTE privilege, and it's okay if this privilege comes through a role.

  I don't know very well your needs, but it looks like you want really a view and a way to specify settings that does not need to grant privileges to each individual user. If so, a view and a global temporary table to hold the settings, sounds like a good option. You can grant SELECT on the view privileges and all privileges on the global temporary table, in a role. users will no longer have this role.

  If you want help, CREATE TABLE and INSERT to your base tables statements, two sets of parameters and the content of the display you want to see for each set of parameters.
  Do you want the settings to default values? Give an example.

  Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.1.0 is certified with WebLogic Server and 10.3.5 and 10.3.6.

  It is therefore your choice between 10.3.5 and 10.3.6.

  If I close the last tab (on the left) to go back to my office, firefox attempts to load the reports to me that it cannot find the server and google Chrome.

  Apparently, I missed an option in the help section that prevents this. Any ideas?

  I'm guessing that your RightNow site requires the transaction state field to set and you are currently does not provide a when you save the incident. Try to create an attribute of text OPA, write a rule that assigns 1 (or a State of transaction value valid), it mapping for the status of transaction on the Incident field and see what happens.

  What I want is to run an oracle application forms that we have developed in the past, but I don't have 'Oracle Forms and Reports 10' and I think that the OAS which comes with the BI tools is not enough to run the application forms. Is it? It's supossed that perhaps the server Oracle Forms and reports part is included in the oracle developer suite, but I can't. Do I need a CD full of OAS facility? can I have this version of Oracle Forms and reports

  As for your question, I hope that you read my posts.

  As I mentioned, form/reports 6 is very old and operating systems, you suggested that you will use are very new. This version of F/R is obsolete and expected that it works on a new operating system is not realistic. Why are spending you time with such an old version? Even if you're just trying to learn the product, learning with an old version is probably not a good idea.

  The tnsnames.ora file, you need to update is this: c:\orant\net80\admin

  If you want to learn how to use the product in detail, you probably won't be able to do it in a forum. It is not as if we were trying to learn MS Notepad. Forms/States (and all Oracle products) are enterprise-level products. All products Oracle would require that you spend time to review documentation and in many cases attend some courses to always be effective using them. You can find documents and training in countless places, including within the site of the Oracle. I recommend that you consider that your place of departure.

• First Quiz question is ignored during the second attempt.

  I have this weird problem with a quiz.

  Situation

  With Captivate 6.1, I have a Question of pool with 5 questions. The issues are all 1.7 sec on the timeline with the standard pauzé at 1.5. No feedback is given, all buttons are disabled except the submit button.

  In the project, I have 5 random slides, related to the question of the questions pool.

  The quiz settings: 80% for spend, infinite attempts.

  Question

  When I start the second or third try of the quiz, the first question is shown, but after a second or two, publication (SWF and SWF-SCORM) continues to the second question.

  It has not resolved

  These things I tried:

  1. Reissue with "Force republish all slides" selected.
  2. Removing all the Question slides in the project and recreate them from scratch.

  Can someone help me with this?

  I have heard some evidence that you should never set quiz question slides less than 3 seconds in length.

  Try to make all the quiz questions about 3 seconds with the break point to 1.5 seconds and see if it improves the problem.

  Another request: do you have removed or replaced one of the elements by default question slide as the legend of the Question title or caption of the Question text? If so, which can also cause behaviors glitch.  You will need to delete questions that you have changed this way and replace them with quiz question slides.

• the evaluation questions and reports

  I have a training simulation that I use as an assessment for a class. I activated the feature of report for each of the areas of fields click on buttons/boxes/texts where the learner must enter/click for more information.

  because Captivate did not capture a few slides that should appear on the screen, I inserted to image slides to make fun of these steps, the learner has no click or anything on them, because they are only for information purposes. The problem is that when I turn on the feature of report, Captivate is with these "mock of slides" as answers that the learner must perform, so give me a failure message when I test.

  I checked the page advanced interactions and these pages are not configured to signal a response, (see picture)

  OK, will check in CP5. What I proposed, it was a simple way to check what are the interactive objects generates a score and that we don't. You can check this by assigning a different note to two (click on different sides of the score for the ETB). Could you try this in a separate project with only this (copy and paste) and slide a slide of score and see we're registered?

  BTW: you set the ETB to validate? And since I don't see a button "submit", I assume that it is validated by an entry (or other) shortcut key? The score for BER will give only if it is validated.
