Integration between UCM and Oracle Capture server

Hello

I want to ask if I want to save the captured or scanned, document capture to server in a specific folder on the server of the University Complutense of Madrid, how?

Thank you

No luck. Then Srinath Menon-Oracletips are unusable.

Either way, I think it will be easier to manage all that on the side of the University Complutense of MADRID, using the profile as rajeev.y.ranjan - Oracle has proposed.

The first idea in my head is a component custom - possibly a filter - that will fill the a user folder, or create the folder first, save the folder of a user and then only it provides information. The caveat with folders_g is the maximum limit of 1000 files/content per folder, so you'll need to consider when you create a new folder.

Moreover, this task could be moved on administrators.

  • OC4J and Oracle Application server?

    Hello

I'm a freshness for Oracle BI Publisher.

1 can explain everything on OC4J (Oracle Molok) and Oracle Application server
    2. the Differnce between OC4J and Oracle Application server

    Thanks in advance

    Ravindra

    Of the 10.1.3.4 installation guide:

BI Publisher has three installation options:

    * Basic - Oracle Universal Installer base option provides a server of standalone applications (Oracle Containers for Java 10.1.3.1) and Sun's JDK (SUN 1.5.0 - b5) with BI Publisher.
    * Advanced - Oracle Universal Installer Advanced option installs BI Publisher in an Application existing Oracle 10.1.3.1 (or later) server.
    * Manual - you can manually install the BI Publisher in one of the supported J2EE servers.

So, OC4J is present in at least two of the three options (basic and advanced, advanced charges as Application Server is based on OC4J as mentioned). Tomcat is an example of a manual installation.

  • Difference between oracle and Oracle Application Server Developer's costume?

    Hi all

If someone please tell me the main difference between the costume of developer and Oracle Application Server.

I will be very thank ful.

    Thank you

    Hina.

You would need an application to host the application, but each user could access this application using a browser. So the obligation for each user is simply a browser with an appropriate Sun JRE installed - this JRE (if not already installed) can be configured to be automatically downloaded and installed on the client from the application server.

  • Oracle Weblogic server and Oracle Application Server

The Bea weblogic and Oracle application server have been combined in a product-viz Oracle Weblogic server.

Please clarify - because Oracle Application Server is always available as a separate offering

    Thank you

Yes, since version 10.3.4 the product called Weblogic Server provides the two "BEA WLS' and 'Oracle AS' characteristics (namely, support for forms and reports, ADF, etc..)

Existing customers of Oracle ACEs can move to Weblogic Server to get its benefits (for example, JRockIt JVM). For the new Oracle AS it is no longer available.

Architecture of ore, take a look at [url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/advanced-analytics/r-enterprise/ore-trng1-gettingstarted-1501628.pdf] the first presentation in our learning of the R series.

For your second question. ORE will use R who we found during installation. The installer will display the value of R_HOME before it proceeds with the installation. In general 1.3 ore we recommend R 2.15.1 and ORE 1.1 - R 2.13.1.

  • Choose between MySQL and Oracle - problem with MySQL text columns?

    Hello.

New to this forum and Oracle please go easy on me.

I'm selecting data in a MySQL database.

This SQL works very well: -.
    Select 'Device_Label' Device"@ed_link «»
    where "Device_ID" = 6665;
Here, the MySQL Device_Label column is of type varchar (255).

This SQL fails with the error - ORA-00904: "Device_Tag": invalid identifier
    Select 'Device_Tag' Device"@ed_link «»
    where "Device_ID" = 6665;
Here, the MySQL Device_Tag column is of type text.
Column Device_Tag certainly exists and is populated.

Is the problem related to the MySQL type text column, and is there a solution?

    Thank you.

    Hello
The ora-997 because of the entry door is not a restriction of the Oracle. You cannot use a table defined as a long in the create table... as select statement..., you would see the problem even if it was a copy of Oracle for Oracle.
If one of the columns of MySQL are translated as a long in Oracle you will hit this problem.
The bypass alone is to avoid columns long or you can try to create a view in MySQL by using the cast function, which converts the columns that translate to long something and then use it in the create statement.

    Kind regards
    Mike

  • A few questions about integration between POET and EBS

    Hi you
I am a new bie BIEE. In those days, have a look at the POET architecture and BIEE components. In the next project, there is some work on the development of POET based on request of the EBS. I have a few questions about integration:

    (1) generally, the POET application and database server is decentralized with application and database EBS? Both BIEE 10g and 11g version can be integrated with EBS R12?

    (2) in the POET administration tool, the first step is to create arrays of physics. If the source application is EBS, is it still necessary to create the physical tables?

    (3) if the physical creation of tables is needed, how to transfer data from the source of BSE BIEE physical tables tables? What ETL tool is preferred for most of developers? generator for warehouse or Oracle data integration?

    (4) during the data transfer phase, there are many many large data to transfer, how to keep the entire? for example, it must transfer 1 million lines of source to physical tables BIEE database, when 50% is completed, users try to open the POET report, they can see the new data of 50% on the reports? is there some transaction in phase control ETL?

could someone give some pointers for me? I am very appreciated if you can also provide any other information.

    Thanks in advance.

    (1) generally, the POET application and database server is decentralized with application and database EBS? Both BIEE 10g and 11g version can be integrated with EBS R12?

You shud look at OBI request here that uses OBIEE as a tool for reporting with pre-built modules. 10g & 11g comes with different versions of the applications of BI that supports sources such as Siebel CRM, EBS, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, etc...

    (2) in the POET administration tool, the first step is to create arrays of physics. If the source application is EBS, is it still necessary to create the physical tables?

His independent of any source. It comes to OBIEE modeling to create the RPD with all the layers. If you build from scratch, then you will need to create all layers else if BI Apps is used so you can get pre-built RPD and other pre-designed components.

    (3) if the physical creation of tables is needed, how to transfer data from the source of BSE BIEE physical tables tables? What ETL tool is preferred for most of developers? generator for warehouse or Oracle data integration?

BI apps comes with ETL pre-built mapping to use with the tools majorly with Informatica. Only applications BI 7.9.5.2 comes with ODI, but oracle has the intention of having only ODI for any other versions.

User will see still old data because its good enable Cache and serving it after each load.

  • What is different between the and oracle tutorial and taken that auto study of oracle - in addition to the cost?

What is different between the socket and ware course oracle and making that auto study of oracle - not to mention that the cost

I would take oracle 12 c performance and tuning.

I noticed its a lot cheaper as self-training which is web access for a year.

However, self study does not prepare you as well as the oracle himself.

    Thank you Roger

UO has four types of training: classroom, virtual Live, training on demand and self study.  The first three are all variations on the same thing: a human being a conference accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation.  The only difference is the specific method of delivery.  I took a dozen or more courses in the classroom, when I worked for Oracle, but none of the other three.  I don't know that they still existed at the time.

Self-study courses are completely different.  They are not recorded training sessions (or they would cost the same as TOD). They seem to be created by Skillsoft computer-assisted training courses. There are some demos available on the OU Web site. Go to the following URL and click on the tab "Demos'", just above the section asking you to select a product area:

    Self-study courses | Training | Oracle

That said, it is not yet an option available for the course self-study: Oracle 12 c database: performance management and Tuning.

  • What is the association between JMS and JMS Module server in weblogic 10?

    Hello

I have a created a topic ConnectionFactory, queue as JMS Modules in Weblogic Server 10 using the administration console.
And I created a JMS server and targeted on the server running current (Server Admin).

But when I run the program of the sender of the queue it is not able to search the jndi I gave for the queue.

    queue = initialContext.lookup ("jndi_queue") (line);

    Exception:
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: unable to resolve 'jndi_queue '.

But I have configured jndi name when I create the queue JMS module in Weblogic Server 10.

How the JMS Module and Server JMS are involved.

My doubt is if I have several JMS Modules and that one created JMS server so how the JMS server identifies the queue/topic belonging to what JMS Module?

    Please advice.

    Thank you...

    Hello

Once you have configured the JMS servers:

Step 1: Target the configuration module of JMS in the cluster that will host destination, or, if not using clusters, target the module to the individual WL server that will host the JMS server.

Step 2: Set up a "subdeployment' for the module and set it to reference the exact JMS servers that will be the destination host. If you use a desitnation distributed, you can specify that multiple JMS servers, if you use a regular destination, don't specify a single destination.

Step 3: Create a resource of destination in the module, and then assign him his the subdeployment subdeployment specified in step 1 (the console called "advanced targeting"). As a best practice to avoid the "targeting default" option for the resource - always choose subdeployment targeting (Advanced).

For more information, refer to the "best practices" section of the JMS configuration guide:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14571_01/Web.1111/e13738/best_practice.htm#CACJCGHG

I also I highly recommend chapter JMS the book "Professional Oracle WebLogic.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello

I wonder if I will still be able to use the server Oracle 10 if I install JDK 1.6 (required to upgrade SqlDeveloper)?

Here is the output of java-version in the directory of the Oracle Server

    D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\jdk\bin > java-version
    Java version "1.4.2_08.

Java Client VM (build 1.4.2_08 - b03, mixed mode)

    And in the Sqldeveloper folder

    D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre\bin > java-version
    Java version "1.5.0_06".
Java (TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06 - b05)
Java Client VM (build 1.5.0_06 - b05, mixed mode)

What is trust the installation to place java 1.6 in the sqldeveloper\jdk\bin directory?

Thanks a lot if you can help

If you're afraid to ruin the other software, why not download the SQL Developer provided with the JDK? It resides inside the SQLDeveloper folder and to my knowledge it does not interfere with any of your other installed JDK.

You'll want to put new facilities of SQL Developer in their own folder, not in the SQL Developer folder.

It's a different error that you posted earlier.

    In this case

  • JDeveloper 11 and Oracle Application Server

    Hello

We have recently moved to the Organization of a Forms client server environment. We migrated forms 6i to 10g and deployed to OAS 10.1.2.0. The next phase of the project is to start the development/migration of the system to a Java environment. My question is, if we want to continue our current configuration of OAS, can develop using JDeveloper 11 g or do we use JDeveloper 10 g. Basically, can I deploy JDeveloper 11 g to OAS 10g?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

If you are involving by JDeveloper application you want to use the ADF Faces RC coupled with JDev 11 g, the answer is simple right now is no, JDeveloper 11 g ADF applications require WebLogic Server 10.3 (WLS) or a compatible application JEE similar 1.5/5.0 server. So, if you want to offer a JDev ADF application on your existing platform OAS 10.1.2 or 10.1.3 you must stay with JDev 10.1.3 for the moment.

However this year Oracle plans to converge the OAS and platforms WLS platform Fusion Middleware (FMW - name subject to change), who will meet also forms/States 11 g and JDev 11 g on the same platform of FMW, which will overcome this obstacle. Dates TBA.

    Kind regards

    CM.

    wfa_sec. GetSession (< username outparameter >);

    icx_sec.GetSessionCookie;

Both of these functions return-1 or going into exception. I have confirmed with our DBAs that the APEX and e-business are installed on the same domain. APEX has access to the schema of APPS but its connected to one of our schema custom.

No idea why it does not work?

In addition, how can I pass the username to fnd the URL using methods (JSP Interoperable with OA) GWY.jsp? targetAppType = APEX & p101:1 or LaunchApex.jsp (depending on jsp SSWA)? Examples? And how can we apply a checksum to the URL, because it originates in Oracle e-Business.

    Your help is very appreciated.

We finally got this working. The problem was with load balancing. He was using a https protocol while ApEx has been using http. We changed the balance of the load to a http protocol, the functions return the correct values.
