Integrity PDF

I don't know if a PDF file can go corrupt... but there is a way to check if a group of PDF files are ok (except trying to open all)?

Thank you!

Nothing can check a file for integrity without opening the file. How could he say? If you ask for a batch installation, I think you can have Acrobat open all files in a folder without problem.

  • All content tiles missing and integrated PDF reader and password manager no longer works after update to 34.0

    Hello
After that I updated to 34.0 on OSX 10.9.5 (auto update comprehensive), I noticed that all of the content of the tile is missing. Before the update, I have seen a lot of tiles when I open a new tab. Even after a few navigation, no content appears (I see only an array of blank tiles). I went between white classic, bright, cooler. No effect.

In addition, integrated in the viewer PDF does not work. All the time I click on the pdf link, I see the window to download the PDF with the title "enter the name of the file to save on...» ». Before the update, PDF Viewer has not worked, no problem. After that I noticed the problem, I checked that the preferences-> requests and confirmed that the action to the 'Portable Document Format (PDF)' content type is set to "Preview in Firefox".

In addition, Manager of integrated password also stopped working. He remembers no new password. It provides no password already known on the site where he provided automatically the account and the password before the update. I checked the preferences-> Security-> saved passwords. There are a lot of passwords to remember (remember before the update).

I re - install the firefox manually. It does not help.

Can someone help me? Is there any information I can provide to sort my problem?

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

  • Integrated PDF

    Hi all

    Thanks for any help.

I downloaded the pdf Embedded - Region Plugin - PDF integrated

In the source of the region, I put the following

    Select blob_content from blob_test

    where id = 67

Restores the area but I don't see any document, I see is the id of the BLOB in a table on a page. I know I'm probably missing something really small but just can't understand it.

    Thank you

    Mary

    Hi Mary,

First of all) as described in the documentation of the plugin - Plugin region - PDF integrated

    A native PDF generator

It is a plugin that can be used to get the result of a query in PDF format, which is included in your application. No print server, such as FOP, BI Publisher or Cocoon is necessary.

So you can use it to generate output like what I did in PDF_TEST_2

Second) If your application is to display the PDF of BLOB in a region

You can use the GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC function that is documented in APEX_UTIL

This can also help you PDF viewing with apex_util.get_blob_file_src works only with 4.0

  • MP4 videos integrated PDF to come in white. How can I view them?

    Hello.

I am trying to view videos embedded in a PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Reader, however all the videos are empty. I am running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and the version of Acrobat is freedom from 2015. Here is a screenshot of what I see:

    Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 4.49.08 PM.png

As you can see, there is no video. I tried clicking on it to read it, but nothing happens.

I have to turn on a specific parameter to visualize integrated media files?

    Thank you very much!

  • Can I change default display width in the integrated PDF Viewer?

I almost always want to view a PDF in "page width" but the zoom default 'auto' setting always displays them to fill the height rather than the width of the window and I have to modify manually every time I find a PDF file. Can I change this setting somewhere?

Hi cfcentaurea, you can define a view by default as follows: enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & search for the preference named pdfjs.defaultZoomValue. Double-click it and change its value to the width of the page (this should affect all new documents you open).

  • Integrated PDF (CMYK) JPEG file

    Hello

As I understand it the PDF specifications it is possible to directly include a JPEG file in a PDF.

It must be encapsulated in an XObject object and its filter must be set to DCTDecode.

(Even the JPEG header and others stored in the final PDF file)

So I wrote a litte program PDFL Adobe that create these files by, basically, it reads all of the JPEG file using an ASStm [ASFileStmRdOpen()] which is called by the [PDEImageCreate()].

I put in the call to Create() that the stream is encoded.

Of course, it creates the appropriate PDEColorSpace in parallel.

In the end it all works in RGB, I get the expected result.

But when I use the CMYK JPEG file, the PDF I get is the negative of the image (as if I have applied time-> invert in Photoshop). I missed something for CMYK files?

Below are the links to download the test files and the result:

    -CMYK (JPG) http://dl.free.fr/h2jecWBpj (PDF) http://dl.free.fr/gv5zecOEp

    -RGB (JPG) http://dl.free.fr/nccbrL1mg (PDF) http://dl.free.fr/ho5kqmkD4

    Thanks for the help.

You probably forgot to detect that the JPEG image has been created by Photoshop that did reverse CMYK and requires a decoding table.  IIRC there is a note about this in the ISO 32000 document

  • There are many versions I [changed an option] so that PDF files does not open in Firefox. v 42.0, now I have no pdf viewer by default/built-in at all.

I don't know how long it was, but I decided that I didn't want to use the pdf viewer by default in Firefox at the time, and because things have been very slow in the browser, I disabled the default viewer and set options to ensure that all PDF files that are open outside of the browser and directly in Adobe. I have no memory of what I've done to get there in time.

Now for c. 42.0 (and 41.0.2, front) when I go to Options > Applications and select one of the "Adobe Acrobat Document" s, my only options are always "ask," "Save the file", or «Use other...» "and there is certainly no option of Firefox Viewer in 'another use. »

With Adobe Reader latest terms and the fact that they can now push updates when they want, I just * never * use again.

How to bring back the integrated pdf viewer? I realize there are other pdf viewers and I'm picking through those, but I would still have a browser too.

Oh, hang on, I missed something. When you go into Options > Application, the content type that you want to change is Portable Document Format (PDF) , which is the standard type application/pdf. (The others being obscure guys like Marlon who are not your problem). Does it work?

  • How to open a PDF file using the built-in Viewer? (Windows 8.1)

When I try to open a PDF file I have the pop-up dialogue "you have chosen to open *.pdf Firefox do with this file? And display in Firefox is not one of the options. I am sure that what is happening is that there is no dialogue, and the PDF has just opened in the integrated Viewer pdf.js. If something is wrong with my profile I guess.

I tried the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-pdf-files-firefox-without-downloading-them

I checked through all my extensions and you do not have open a PDF (I have uBlock, NoScript and Zotero).
    I completely uninstalled Adobe Reader.
I checked that in preferences/Applications, PDF is set to "Preview in Firefox.
I did as I went through: config and change all settings with 'pdf' on their return to their default values
But none of these things work.

Is there anything else I can try to get this working?

I think the problem I had was that some of the PDF files is served by Web sites with a "header" (I don't really know what that means) called "Content-Disposition: attachment", and when this happens, Firefox refuses to load them into the integrated PDF Viewer. (I don't know why Web sites this.)

It is very helpful, especially because Firefox gives no indication as to what is happening (why the user preference for a PDF file is not respected). I just thought that the PDF Viewer was broken and spent hours trying to fix it.

If anyone runs into this problem, there is an extension that fixes it: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/inlinedisposition/

There is a Bugzilla bug open about it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=773942

As far as I can see, it would be trivial reflect changes the extension above in Firefox. In the bug of no claim that it would be a bad thing to do for safety reasons. But Firefox should at least present the user the ability to open the PDF file in the integrated Viewer or even more at least have explanations on why the PDF is not currently open in the Viewer, for example "this PDF file was marked for download, so for safety reasons it has not been opened in the integrated Viewer. Who would save people like me, who don't know the HTTP headers that are complicated, just think that Firefox is broken.

  • Lately on the Web, pdf files are not correctly; What is the problem and how can I fix this so I don't have to use IE?

I am a teacher and often need to open the PDF files of academic electronic databases of journal articles. In the last two or three weeks, when I try to do it using Firefox, only the first page of the pdf display and the rest are empty. In addition, a bar appears in the upper part with the message "this pdf file cannot be displayed properly." So I had to switch to Internet Explorer to open files and do my research.
