Help menu persistence virus?

I have a hp laptop 2008 running windows vista and everytime I open anything. No matter what is a Minesweeper of antivirus for internet browsers to word documents in the Task Manager, the Help window appears and don't go away or even go to the background. She stays in front of the window, I try to access and literally is not fading. Someone help please! What should I do?

Hello

Method 1:
You can check if you can start in safe mode and let us know. In safe mode; you have access to only the drivers and base files.

Check out the link to start the computer in safe mode and then check - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Then I would recommend to run the tool in safe mode and check if the virus has been removed. See the link

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/PC-Security/Malware-removal.aspx

I would also recommend Security Essentials in the future, but only after making sure the virus has been removed.

  • Can not copy and paste, do not click on "Help" Menu

Firefox has just updated to 37.0.2, however, this problem existed before the update. When I try to "copy / paste" one Web page to another, I can right-click and 'copy' but when I try to "stick" to another page, I get a menu that says "Save Page As," menu "Select", etc., but not 'stick '.

Also, I can't click 'Help' at the top of Firefox. All other keys work except this one. The only way I can make it work is open "Customize", then close and the 'help' menu then works.

Someone has any idea how to correct these problems? Thanks for the replies!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • As some Menu items: Modules, Help Menu and Pocket Extension does not work after update to 17.0

As some Menu items: Modules, Help Menu and Pocket Extension does not work after update to 17.0

This may be caused by the Tab Mix Plus extension

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

  • Installed Firefox 3.6.11, but Firefox still says "apply downloaded update now... "in the Help menu. How can I fix it?

When Firefox 3.6.11 came out I wanted to update. I clicked "apply downloaded update now... "and then just rebooted without updating. I went to the download page, download the program installation and upgrade in this way. It worked, but now it still says "apply downloaded update now...» "in the Help menu.
Why it does this and how can I fix this without losing my bookmarks and settings?

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update doesn't work does not correctly)

Delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates:

    Vista/Windows7:

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)

    • Download a new copy of Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    • Remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a (rei) installation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you decide to uninstall Firefox.

    Hello

This is a unique feature of mac and not on windows machines.

This is the part of the mac operating system, and every application has a search on the Help menu, not just photoshop.

  • Photoshop 2015.5 CC: no search for updates (called in the Help menu)

To check and install the latest updates for Photoshop you choose the "Help" menu > "Updates". Then Adobe Application Manager starts and indicates if there are updates or not (for all your Adobe software installed).

But in Photoshop CC 2015.5 this does not work. In bridge CC 6.2.0.179 and the latest version of InDesign, it works as it should.

Launch creative application of cloud and the search for updates also works.

    Maybe it's a bug Photoshop CC 2015.5.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall but it does not solve it.

It is not a big problem, I wanted to just indicate.

Everything works now after reinstall, thank you

  • CS6 student edition 'Help' menu 'deactiate' sun always! laptop XP SP3

We have CS6 student edition installed on XP SP3 Dell laptop computer, no clouds. Adobe I haveinstructions to disable, go to the 'Help' menu, click 'disable' which is still very low.  About 3 years ago buy and installed this softwear CS6 in a top of Office XP SP3. There are 2 years installed the second permit or part of the CS6 atop a tower of XP SP3. 1 year ago we disabled CS6 on top of old Office XP successfully and installed in a top of newest desktop with OS 7. We strive to disable CS6 from the top of the tower. Summer 18 months since I use the CS6 in this mobile. Today, we started CS6, after 18 months and were taken to a page 'connect' to enter email and password to access your room. This has never happened before, everything was good however. Then we see the CS6 main page or window. Then click on 'help', then we see Disable all grey, not able to highlight or a link to something. Old forums indicate contact Adobe. We go to the adobe support window and says no links available for this product, forums only phone contact.  Is there a link to 'chat' to someone at Adobe. Today could have an easy answer, but I think that some rear wheels on the ground in movement are necessary and the thing "trial and error" to do. Changes in Google lately might cause problems here with these XP, I see glitches every week in general performance given that Google made improvements. What to do next?  Jimmy G

  • How to download the update of Captivate (no ' Update' in the Help menu.)

I want to update my Captivate, but there is no "update" in my help menu.

According to the documentation, I click on "update" and I download the file.  But I don't see "update" in my help menu. (See the illustration).

Install Adobe Application Manager from here and run it to check the updates. It must indicate the update available in Captivate. You can install it from there.
