  Yep, what said in the other thread is correct, that the records are deleted only on the side of vRA but not CMDB. This only ever respond to condition is from the point of view CMDB. So the record will always be to the CMDB.

  I was going through the tutorial in "vsphere-client-sdk/html-bridge/docs/html-tutorial.html" and I created a plugin html test with the default actions. I can see the error message pop-up by clicking on sample 1 action. But when we try to call action sample 2, nothing happens. I can see the default implementation in SampleActionService, which returns true for the action of sample 2. I also have an actions.jsp in test-ui/WEB-INF/views.

  This example project uses the actions without a head , for whom the only thing possible is to return an ActionResult to update your model (add, delete, or modify an object).  You can't handle the result of the action in your own code because your code issue that share and also it is not possible to configure a custom 'callback javascript', a reminder of Flex in the same way as you could have if you were writing to the Flex user interface.

  But... the most common use cases of actions user interface, as described in the RFSO. Add a parameter to the dialog box and the action opens a dialog (for example a confirmation alert, an entry form, Wizard, etc.) where you control the content and can do what you want.  See the example for chassisA for this kind of code.

  I have something I call the presentation. According to our phases of deployment, it will return the fields it is possible to select.

  Domain-> GetAction("com.companyxyz.presentation","getDomainsForDeploymentStage").call (#deploymentStage)

  Then I want to take a vlan backup according to the field

  VLAN-> GetAction("com.__companyxyz__.presentation","getBackupVlan").call (#deploymentStage, #Domain)

  However, the '#Domain' value is always zero in action script.

  If I use GetAction("com.__companyxyz__.presentation","getBackupVlan").call (#deploymentStage, "server.local"), it returns the expected value.

  It's certainly doable.

  I guess deploymentStage, domain and vlan are the input parameters for the workflow, right? There are two things to check carefully:

  • First of all, make sure your actions getDomainsForDeploymentStage and getBackupVlan handle code values no entry script gracefully.
  • Then, it depends on what property of presentation you linked calls from these actions. It is by default? If so, please change it to data binding, default values are calculated only once, at the beginning of the presentation run, and it is possible that, currently, the deploymentStage value is always set to null. On the other hand, the data bindings are calculated on every time the fields that they depend on, so your actions can be called with null deploymentStage first, but then, when deploymentStage gets its real value, the data bindings will be calculated with the non null deploymentStage.

  I have an action from orchestrator of a powershell script/function that I use regularly. The function is supposed to return a System.Object with email content (n, fromAdd, body, etc) that I would use in a script task.

  The problem I'm having is that I can't access these results in my work of scriptable. I know that the performance of the action a PowerShellRemotePSObject (and I have reviewed the literature on 'Working with PowerShell results'), but none of my attempts to explore the values give the results, I'm looking for. I'd appreciate any help to know what I'm missing.

  Thank you once again Ivo. Sorry for the delayed reactions. I took a peek at the solution you provided but had a few mistakes - there was no GetFilter() function defined for the call to psObject.getRootObject () .getProperty ('from'). After fiddling around with the results, I found my solution.

  I basically closed the rootobject of the return value of invocation of script that turns out to be a collection data structure (last result in the enumeration in italics/bold).

  It turns out that the value of back in my Powershell script is the last element in the collection. from there, I could get my values:

  In general, the controls on the tab are a visual aid for the façade to the group as controls.  The terminal is not connected to what whether in code.

  It looks like you want a "state machine".  Search the forums and the help of LabVIEW.

  Your code is essentially internal to the outside at the moment.  You must only have a unique structure and make the outermost structure (just inside the outermost program while loop).

  In the case of event appropriate (one per action/event) use a business structure that determines which code to run in function your different measurement procedures.

• What is the best practice for managing for results in doubles because of several sessions

  I work with PowerCLI 5.0.  I quite often find that I have a few sessions open at the same time connected to a server that hosts a particular virtual machine and vCenter.  I ran into a problem when I tried the cmdlet Add-USBController of VMware vSphere PowerCLI Reference book.

  The following lines are (roughly) in the extract cmdlet of the book:

  $vmView get - vm 'test ' | Get-View

  $vmView.ReconfigVM_Task ($spec)

  I got the following error "method call failed because [System.Object []] contains a method named"ReconfigVM_Task"" etc.

  It turns out that I was getting an array of vmViews for 'test' (instead of one), because I had a connection to the host and vCenter.  Once I deleted the host sessions, the script worked well.

  So now my question - what is the best way to mitigate this in my scripts? At least, I guess I need to make sure that I received only an object in the view of the GET. should I remove all duplicates? kill all other sessions when I run the script?

  The best method is to use the server parameter on cmdlets where it is available, in this way, you can limit the objects returned to this server for vSphere.

  If you have multiple sessions on the same server from vSphere open, you could direct the result of a Select-Object cmdlet.

• Printer driver install resulted in double Program Files folder - how can I remove it?

  Trouble installing a lexmark printer driver led to a work folder lexmark Program Files (x 86) and a 2nd same lexmark folder in a new folder of C: drive called "Program Files (x 86) (x 86)".  Only lexmark files are in this new folder in program files.  Can find no specific uninstall script in the new folder.

  Can I just delete (x 86) 2nd (x 86) folder and lexmark all files it contains?

  The printer works now that the "Program files (x 86)" has been filled.

• "black square shrinking" appears when some the search results for "Array Constant" are double-cliquée.

  In the process of troubleshooting an issue of size of table, I did a Ctrl + F search after selecting a constant matrix.  I find a large number of raster constants in the search results.  However, many of these results (most behaves normally), if the item in the search results has double-clicked, momentary displays a black square, about the size of a standard icon, which immediately reduced to nothing.  There is no indicator selection outline.  I used this nice ShowAllControls & TabCtrl .vi utility to display all the controls, but nothing appears in this place.

  Someone has encountered this?  So far, it's just a nuisance. I am not free to view the code that was developed by a third party.  I would like to make a screenshot, but the black square disappears too quickly.
