When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried several times to change that through words: config; Browser.newtab.URL. I put in the site I want and it won't change. I tried to put in: blank and it don't work. I'm obviously something wrong - can you help please?

    Thank you

If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

I don't like the new layout, how to get back the old layout of the page?

Looks as if you just use the option to hide the navigation toolbar.

It will be probably temporarily reappear if you press Alt on the keyboard. You can set to display help (I think that - not in Windows Me)

    • Firefox-> toolbars-> toolbar Navigation
  • I really don't like the new version of Firefox, when they go to restore? The idea of this layout is worse than the error Vista mircosofts.

It is not that I don't like the change, in fact I love it. However, the open tabs and new Windows Open should return to the original format. Of course, there's a fancy transition but it is more annoying than enjoyable. I never complain about things like that, in fact this will be my first ever complaint about a browser, Explorer, I stop, and looks like I'll do it again until they have change the format of this upgrade. I do not used and I refuse to everything everyone I know feels the same way.

What you don't like in Firefox 4 on how open tabs, windows and?

You can cancel a large number of these changes either by activating / disabling or changing the prefs on the topic: config page or via extensions.

You can right click on the orange Firefox button to open the menu of the toolbar or use (F10) view > toolbars.

    • Click on the entry in the Menu bar to make the menus visible bar.
    • Click "Tabs at the top" to remove the check mark and place the tab to its original position bar just above the browser window.

Join the club of those of us who don't like Quicken 2015 or 2016 Quicken; even if I bought it for a 40% discount offered by Intuit!  I was just disappointed by Q2016 compared to Quicken 2007!

I don't like the update Spider Solitaire in Windows 7.  Is it possible to install the version that I had in XP?

I found a way to do it myself.  I knew someone who was still using Windows XP, and with his permission, I found all the files of spiders by searching, put them on my backup stick and put the files on my computer at home.  I just put it on the desktop so it is easy to find and it works very well.  Only, I transferred the .exe file.

Why the appearance of the view live don't like the mode of creation

The use of Live View Google of the EFC (integrated framework chrome) for rendering and so would give the same rendering in Chrome or Safari.

Design view uses an older (obsolete) rendering engine and thus the difference.

  • Don't like the presentation of Photoshop CS4!

I've been a user of photoshop for years (since V3) and I work with photoshop daily
(except my day) and I have several things that really make worse me on the version
    CS4.

    Organize Documents

Whatever one of the little bright children at imagined Adobe it should have
heaped upon their anus on the side and wrapped in barbed wire! The features of CS3 was
fine and Adobe did not give me a "If you like available to the CS3 document, please.
Click here"in the new version. I clicked the available Document organize drop-down list to select float while
Windows... which works, but is not stay like this. Also, when I place the next document
    another, they merge. Bad luck.

    View all Menu items

Once again, little bright children from Adobe must have been one of the cover of Hugh Hefner martini
parties thinking of shortcuts to reach "home flat. Most of the professionals I know with
Photoshop use at least 2 monitors. I use two inchers 21 put side by side - one for work,.
one for the tool palettes. I have a lot of space and I would (or at least have the)

Permanent option to) see ALL items in my menu. You guys must have hired a rejection of Microsoft for this one.

It's all to do their work.

Don't like the presentation of Photoshop CS4!

For me, Photoshop is not cute or trend or gee whiz... it's all about getting to photo editing
fact. When you design, please do not follow the routine "Let's make it cute and fashionable.
Do work, make it simple, make it powerful and finally make it where I don't have to relearn
This is when a new version is released.

If anyone can help me permanently restore 'float all in windows' that would be great.

    LOL to funny!

    Hi kcalahan,

You may need to download solitaire game of spider on some third-party site. There are a lot of third-party websites available that can help you in the task.

  • How can I return to the old preferences window? I don't like the new tab.

I used to be able to click: Firefox-> Preferences and get the window preferably. Firefox Preferences now opens as a tab. I don't know how or why it changed. But I don't like. How can I go back to the old way to open the preference window?

Hi, I'm not familiar with Mac, but I think it should work - it does in Windows: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.preferences.inContent and double-click on it to change the "value" from true to False, taking care to not to change what anyone else. You will then need to restart Firefox.

  • Don't like the new pdf.js Viewer. How can I disable it and restore Acrobat Reader as my favorite plugin?

I don't really like the look-and-feel of the new pdf.js Viewer. On my machine (6 yr old HP running Windows XP with sp 3) it displays more slowly than Acrobat Reader, and I was perfectly happy with the Acrobat Reader plugin. Frankly, I want to disable pdf.js, but have not been able to find a way to do it. It does not appear anywhere that I could find the Add-ons Manager. I don't want to be forced to use a feature that seems to be a detriment to performance, at least for me. Mozilla, please review this!

You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer and use the Adobe Reader software instead.

Disable search suggestions by right clicking the text field in the search bar and remove the mark in front of "Show Suggestions".

Click the search engine button and open "manage search engines".

At the bottom of this window, there is a box of [X] "see search suggestions."

  • I don't like the fact that I can't go back several pages EASILY while surfing. Help?

In the old version on every tab I could come back the first thing that I looked very easily by a drop-down list of the arrow to the left. Now I have to go to history and it shows the last 10 items (?) of all THE tabs. It only allows you to return a page of the arrow. I DON'T LIKE THIS FEATURE! Unless I'm doing something wrong. All the suggestions/help?

Right-click on the previous/next arrow for the drop-down list; the small arrow on the Back/Forward button has been removed. In the drop-down menu, aware of the position in that the tab history is in 'bold' with the above being 'Back' and the following is "forward". As you move your cursor over the list of questions, you'll see a back ("" < "") or forward ("" > "") arrow to the left of each item.
