Internet Options

can someone help me how do you know which boxes to check in the advanced internet options? I am old man played in it and now I do not know how to set their return

Almost everyone here is a volunteer, I am.

How do you have on this forum? You use Internet Explorer to get here? On the Menu bar (file, editing, etc.), click on tools, then Options Internet.

If you open NetZero, you have open IE. If you want an icon of IE in the office, just go to start | All programs. Find Internet Explorer, do a right click on it and then click send to | Desktop (create shortcut).

I don't know yet what you want to do. I thought you wanted the Internet Explorer default settings the return value. If you have done that? Or you try to do something different?

  • What Windows 7 Internet Options affect latest version of Firefox

I know that there are questions more old ones where Internet options can affect Firefox downloads. Mainly, I'm trying to see if the internet files, proxy, and ahead of the options in the Windows Internet Options will temporarily affect the latest stable version of Firefox.

    64-bit Windows 7 Professional SP1
    Internet Explore 11

Temporary Internet files: Firefox has its own separate cache folder.

Proxy: the Firefox proxy parameter defaults to "use the system proxy settings. Not sure if THE Options are the same as the system proxy settings, but I would not be surprised if they are.

Advanced options: there are too many of them to discuss, but in general, it is difficult to see how all the parameters related to the rendering of the page in IE would affect Firefox.

Unfortunately, you have not included all the details on your system or what version of Internet Explorer you are using.

This could be because when you post a new question in the forum, you are not reminded to provide this information.

If the workstation appears in Internet explore is something new and you have not changed it, something has changed for you.  You should do a few scans for malware first and see if obvious infections are the cause of this 'new' in your Internet Explorer.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Here is an article on a method, security that you can read which describes how the workstation is usually added to the Microsoft security zone:

I bought one on Ebay, you can reinstall using a genuine OS installation disc, an OEM disc, as long as register you it with your pc product key.

the disc must be identical to what is now installed, for example at home, professional or Media Center Edition.

When you start from the cd, you have what you see?

I have an old computer and cannot find my windows disc to repair. Is there another way to do it?

    Hello ColleenMilligan,

    Click Start, click Run.
Since the command run, type inetcpl.cpl.
This should bring up the Internet Options Control Panel.
Then go to the Advanced tab.
Downstairs, I recommend that you reset Internet Explorer.

If you open Internet Explorer, the command in the type bar, right-click.
It give you options of the menu, status bar and links bar.
If the menu bar is not checked, check it out.
This will give you File, Edit, View, Favorites, tools, and help.

Click on tools, and you can access internet by options.

Please reply back and let us know if this can help.

  • Internet Options menu locked out

I'm locked out of Internet Options and in the Tools menu on the internet, I use Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.  I tried updates, scan for spyware with Windows Live One Care and tried restoring systems back a week or two and I'm still stuck on Internet Options.

Had the same problem and went to add & remove programs then found explores 8 and then deleted.

Now, I can get into my internet options.
