Interruption of a cellular service on ipad.

TIa. I bought an ipad air of a friend who had Verizon as a carrier. She summoned them and they walked him through how to disable. It still shows its but in gray phone number. Cannot link to account, just says call on your account. The problem is that it shows 26 GB and only 86 KB available. I 215 photos on it and possibly 10 apps, facebook, etc.  I never thought to look at GB available after doing factory reset. If anyone knows if this could be a problem, that is to say Verizon not to delete the news for IPAd. Thanks again

I'm guessing that you mean that you can not get your account (Verizon, I suppose, but possible Apple ID) associated with this iPad.

In any case, you should start (as it should have done before the release of the iPad) by doing settings > General > reset > erase all content and settings

That will end this space problem you are talking about and all the other problems.  You can then start from scratch, as if you just take the iPad out of the box.

You say that you have photos, applications, etc. on the iPad.  You should have the saved on the computer (not the iPad, but before you have taken possession of the iPad).  If you have purchased applications using your Apple (not the previous owner... ID If the previous owner owned them, they are not yours), then you can always re - download applications.

  • Without wifi, cellular service or hotspot: is there a way to print to a printer AirPrint from iPad?

    Hello

I travel a bit and I'm looking for the ideal iPad/AirPrint printer installation. In some places, wifi is unstable or not supplied. Cellular service may be non-existent. I have an iPhone that has no personal hotspot capabilities, but without cell service, I can't create a direct connection to the printer. I could go outside to get cellular service, but this would require moving with my printer and find an outlet for the printer.

Without wifi, cellular service or a personal hotspot, is possible to print from an iPad on an AirPrint printer?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. A number of printers can create their own special WiFi networks. I know that HP makes a few of them. I'm sure there are others available.

Outside cellular service areas, IS those who know how the two step aunthicatuon process works in an iPhone 6, using the operating system iOS 9.3.4?  Would a being completely locked out of their iphone and apple services until they could find themselves in a cell service area? I did a little research to see if all Apple items shed light...

See "How it works" in the Apple ID - Apple Support for two-factor authentication - a time that a device is approved, he'll never ask again unless you perform one or more of several things to "break the connection.

If I were you, I would spend it TURNED off if you fear that one of these things could happen while you might not be able to obtain the code by SMS

Frequently asked questions about the audit in two steps for Apple ID - Apple Support

I'm confused as to why Apple would use two different expressions for what seems to be the same:

    • "Two -authentication"- and
    • "Two -step".

The above two articles begin with a statement like: [underlining is unique, "BOLD" is synonymous with]

"Two-factor authentication is just an extra layer of security of your ID Apple aiming to sure you are the only person who can access to your account, even if someone knows your password."

«The two-step verification is an additional security feature for your Apple which designed to prevent anyone to access or use your account, same ID is they know your password.»

Maybe someone with more experience can shed some light on your question and MY confusion?

  • Is it Possible to get cellular Service for iPhone 3GS (2016)

Hi all! I have an old iPhone 3 g I want to pay for someone to use as a starter iPhone until they get a new. I would like to know if it is possible obtain cellular Service for this aircraft from the carriers, including Verizon Wireless? I know there must be a 3G signal, but I saw other people who still use the iPhone 4S with a 3 G connection to the present day. So, what do you think? Is this possible? All responses appreciated, thanks!

Not with Verizon, no. The 3 g iPhone is a GSM phone only, so you may still be able to use it with AT & T or an MVNO that uses the AT & T network. But it can't connect to the company of all CDMA based network.

  • No service on iPad 2 3 and Wifi after upgrade to iOS 9

    Hello

I have updated my iPad to iOS 9.3 and since the update 2 have lost the 3G cellular connection. It does not service, any suggestions on what I need to do to recover the 3 G connection?

    Thank you

    Natasha

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (4) turn off the QoS service on the router if available.

    (5) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (check manufacturer support Web site). Check that your router is certified Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

    (9) go to the Apple Store for the evaluation of the material.

  • IPad Pro 12.9 GSM? Activation / service providers

    Hey,.

I just bought a pro-12, 9 (not from apple, Amazon) and I was told that it is a GSM (whatever it is) version and it cannot be used on Verizon's network. Verizon told me that what I need is a Verizon sim card to put on my plan. I do not understand the difference between GSM / CDMA. From what I read on these pages, it seems that I SHOULD be able to use it on Verizon?

All current iPads are fully cross compatible with both GSM and CDMA cellular service providers base.  Verizon is correct - what you need to do is remove the AppleSIM in this device, obtain and insert a SIM Verizon adapted and implemented the service.

  • iOS 9.3 killed my iPad 2 cellular connection

iOS 9.3 killed my iPad 2 cellular connection.  A friend had exactly the same experience.

Instead of text 'Telstra' (my provider name) upper-left screen, I have "No Service"

Settings > general > topic > network says "Not available" and number of data Mobile says 'Unknown', and yet claimant still said "Telstra 24.0"

This would indicate a problem with the SIM card? Another thing I should study or try? Turn off and restart didn't help.

    Thank you

This is not the first iOS update to disable cellular service on the ipad2. I was hoping iOS 8 was the last well.  I can't believe that they can make this mistake once again!

  • After briefly losing service, iPhone will fail to connect to the cellular network until you restart

When my iPhone lose service for any period of time, as when he drives through an area that is not covered or go inside a building, unit reverts to the cellular network once he's back in the range. I tried to switch the plane made to make additional research; It does not work. I tried to reset network settings. It doesn't work and now I have to re - enter the password for each network wifi (disappointment).

The fix, however, if I turn the unit completely off and the power supply back on. Only to reappear again the next time that I lose the service.

What in the world is the cause and what can do about it?

Things to note: MRI comes back fine. Issue JUST started this week. Device has been restored there is from a backup about 3 weeks because it is a replacement for one that I destroyed.

I can confirm the exact behavior that you are experiencing.

My iPhone brand new T-Mobile SE (1 week) did not have this problem on iOS 9.3.5. He found his connection to my mobile operator without any problem before the iOS 10 update.

I also tried all the things (airplane, network reset mode, etc.) that you tried. Will not fix it. The only thing coming back my cellular service is to power cycle the phone.

It's a real problem for me as I work in a story 72 building (no service in the elevator) and I have unfortunately to enter and leave the building a certain number of times per day.

You have not specified what iPhone model and what version of the OS. Can you clarify?

    Thank you
