Interviewing the image to navigate to the dashboard.

Hello

I am Agnes, I developede a fast Image using paint about hotel on the column of the region. It works very well.

As I know Image guests is used to filter for the application of BI in the same report.

Is it by the way, when I click on the central region of the Image, it has access to the dashboard and filter for the central region.

Currently I use the function portalpagenav on the column of the region, the problem is that this will take two steps.
1. by clicking on the Image will filter for the central region in the same report.
2. After you click on the central region, it will navigate to the dashboard.

I want to reduce the step 1, which I mentioned above.

Please, let me know is there any way to do this.

Thanks for the help.

Hello
I don't think that its possible to naviagte directly to the report target when you click the picture prompt.
After clicking on the image invites its filtering the source report data and the report source as you navigate the report right target?

Do you need this source report, saw the number of columns in that, if it is go there and directly display the target report when you click the quick image. His alternative solution because I don't think its possible to directly naviagte to the report target with on clicking source report.

Kind regards
Srikanth

  • Why change the background image of the dashboard of data crash the app?

I'm changing the background image of my dashboard (on a third generation iPad).  Whenever I try to make the change, the data dashobard app breaks down just.  Even if I try to change to a color, the application crashes.  I can insert a picture without problem.  I guess it's just a bug or something but has anyone else seen this problem?

I was able to reproduce this crash with the following steps:

-Set up a background image of a page

-Copy the dashboard somehow. You can reproduce the dashboard, share by email, export and re - import OR clouds, etc.

    -Open the copy of dashboard

-From the copy, change the background image (for a solid color or another image)

If you set a background image of a page, close and reopen your dashboard and then try to change the background to something else, you will encounter this error.

Solution: If you have the original background image in your Camera Roll, you can fall as an image on the same page (Photo Palette, select in the library). Then you can remove this image and change the background also image.

If you do not have the original image, you may need to start with a new dashboard. (For each page on the old dashboard, you can tap the bottom, select all, copy / paste on another dashboard).

There is a similar problem with images removed, if you shared the dashboard and you work on a copy. In this case, the solution is to copy and paste the image before deleting. (Otherwise, you'll get a dialog error instead of an accident, but the image is not clear).

I deposited cars for these issues internally. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • custom images do not come in the dashboard

    Hi all

based on the clarinet condition I want to show some pictures of custome. I have added these images in two places .but yet these images do not come in the dashboard while I'm able to see my images custom responses. I need to replace any other folder?

    replaced - image path

    C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\meters\arrow\tri\

    C:\OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\meters\arrow\tri

If you really want to solve your problem here quite easily, then simply place your images (.gif) in these 2 files
    OracleBI\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\images
    OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\images
And in reports-> Images of the cell, use a custom image and call via fmap:images / abc.gif

Otherwise, if you have under your counter file, then create a custom under him folder say CompagnyImages and subfolder in image form
    follow http://obiee101.blogspot.com/2009/07/obiee-adding-custom-image-in.html
This may require some RnD which I will give you later once I have had time to replicate

    First soln will 100% work

    I hope this helps.

  • Reset the filter prompt when you navigate to the dashboard Page

Hello world! Came across this bizarre situation when navigating from a source of report a target and then dashboard page topic to another page of dashboard. It seems that the prompt value filters are enabled on each succeeding because of this dashboard page.

    Scenario as follows:

I have a report from the source

Item ID * State * Contact
    12345 * open * SomePerson

If I click on SomePerson (value Navigation Drill-Down), it takes me to a dashboard Page that has Contact = SomePerson applied filter, which works as expected.

But now, when I go to all the other pages of the dashboard, both the status = open and Contact = SomePerson are applied to all views. Is there in such a way that by clicking on the dashboard Page tab would also default reset all filter values prompted since the guests?

Thank you! I learn a lot here. Any help would be appreciated.

  • To an existing dashboard, how can I go back and discovers the source of data for the items in the dashboard? More precisely to determine why the data not displaying on the dashboard for a host where the agents seem to work fine.

Here are the servers in the cluster.  The active cluster in the attached image is PrdERx2.  The zeros should have a count associated with them equal to zero.

    Hi Barry -.

If the dashboard in question was created with WCF (our Framework Web component that is included with the product), then using the tab design inspecting dashboard design suggested Bart is a good. WCF dashboard get much of their data by querying the Foglight data model so once you are in the editor of WCF, change views to queries drop-down list and see what queries can exist in this module WCF. Test if you find to make sure they return data. Also change the functions drop-down list and see if you can test as well.

    I hope this helps.

  • Look And Feel to the dashboard

    Hello

I've developed reports obiee lately as part of my training activity. I came across a few examples of reports from google, and I find them very professional and much better than what I have created. I enclose several images here, the first 3 images contains the dashboard I created and the fourth example of google report. Can anyone help me design dashboards that seems very professional?

    7973.png

    Hello

Firstly, it is good to say that "professional research" is subjective, that it is better to look for is probably not uniformity.

    You're not too far honestly...

First point is that you use a lot of sections. If you use many sections of your page uncheck the option 'Folding', it will hide the upper area of the sections with the icon to the left. If you don't need 3-4 sections just use a unique, not need a section by element. Hide borders of your sections, so you don't see all the blocks in your page.

These few things will do it look better already.

Another point is style: keep the colors, fonts, size uniform etc. in your objects.

You have a blue, black, yellow, grey background on some of your lines, you really need different colors? Really have a meaning? If this is not the case, just use a single.

Start there and don't forget to make things uniform.

  • Add the Word Document to the dashboard

    Hi Experts,

I have to build a dashboard containing a Word document. This Word document is updated frequently by business users.

I use 'Link and Image' in the dashboard after loading the Word document in the directory of resources. The URL of the link looks to ' / analytics/res/Help_Tips_Basic.doc'.

The disadvantage of this approach is that whenever changes to the document, the professional user should ask the system administrator to download the document on the Unix server.

The ideal approach would be that the professional user can download the Word Document in the catalog. However I can't get the link right. I use OBIEE 11.1.1.5.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you very much

    Shi-ning

Just upload your Word, excel, pdf, txt, etc. in webcatalogs (catalog of Download Manager - via presentation services then)
then call using downloadFile & path
    ex: http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?downloadFile&path=text.pdf

    Note:
If any sapce b & w the path of the folder to use %20 in the url of tha
If / in the path use % 2F in this 100% URL it will work

  • Clear dash prompt when the user quits the dashboard

Several dashboards, we show our users with similar dashboard filters, for example the region. When the user applies the filter of dashboard on one edge, then navigates to a second dashboard filter sticks. Is there a way to automatically clear the prompt of the dashboard?

    Thanks for the support!

The code below is used to clear the guests values by pressing the button.
    See how it helps you

For this use of the objects of dashboard-> text-> Check 'Contains the HTML markup' and use this content

    lt div class = "XUIPromptEntry minibuttonOn" & gt & lt a href = "#" onclick = "return PersonalizationEditor.removeDefaultSelection (false)" & gtClear & lt / a & gt

    Replace & lt with< and="" >="" with="">

  • Ask in the dashboard as link can filter based on the prompt values?

    Hi all

In a dashboard, in a section using the prompt of commands and other section with the image object or the link and the given path was for a query created in the responses. The dashboard looks like a prompt command and below the link to the application.

If I enter the prompt value, click on the link-> the pop up window and view the report but does not filter the data according to the prompt value.
So, it is possible to do like that? If it is please share how to do this?

    Thanks in advance!

Do not use the link or Image. Use the Guid. NAV. oppose instead. Link or Image may open in a new window, but the guests are not passed. GUID. NAV. object passes guests, which is what you want, but can not open in a new window.

  • How to get the rule metric count value into the FMS for the use of the dashboard?

    Hello

In the FMS, I can see the results of rule firings in the FxV on the left side under end user-> FxV-> FxV Hit filters, but I'm not finding the same on the right under the data tab panel.

I wish I could view 503 errror detected by a rule on the detectred FxV or errors of the FxM.

    Is this feasible?

    Thank you

    "mark".

Try to do the following: Navigate to the dashboard which has the metric you want to and then open the right panel and create the new dashboard, then choose to base it on the current dashboard, it should give you access to data that was used for the original dashboard.
