  I presented LR to my friend and he bought above which came with the worm 6 installation disk and license SN (24 digits) but has detected the error of invalid license during the installation on his desktop MAC with OS 10.11 despite him having signed with Adobe and has a user Id and password.

  Suggestions appreciated I've seen several similar posts on this relative to the upgrade to 6 but not with a new user.

  More like a file/folder permissions problem. As the license file folder is supposed to write to not write permissions. There was a rash of circulating 10.11.x with the latest version of Mac OS X.

  Do a Google search for this problem and follow the instructions to clear it up. Just look at some other posts on this forum and you see leave a few of them.
