Invoke ColdFusion web service

I try to call a web service, and I get an error message.

401 unauthorized error.  Cannot read the WSDL to the URL: http://servername/generation/bj/TestCalculation.wsdl.  An exception has occurred during the call to a method of Application.cfc event handler. The name of the method is: onRequest.

I put the URL in the browser and it will pull up the WSDL. I can call it in a flex program and it works perfectly.  I don't know a lot about Flex and I'm just learning so I wanted to see if I could make it work with ColdFusion.

Here's the CFC I created:

< cffunction = access "myCalcFunction" name = "remote" returntype = "any" >

< cfinvoke

"WebService ="http://servername/generation/bj/TestCalculation.wsdl"

method = "TestCalculation".

returnvariable = "answer" >

< cfinvokeargument = name value = "#arguments.number1 #" / "Number 1" >

< cfinvokeargument = name value = "#arguments.number2 #" / "Number2" >

< / cfinvoke >

< cfreturn response >

< / cffunction >

Can someone point me in the right direction of what I can do?

Thanks for the support.

BJ

Yes, I finally found out there is a problem of coldfusion 9.1.    I uninstalled CF9.1 and installed CF8 and CF9.0 on my local machine.  I ran both web service code and it worked in both.  I then updated my CF9.0 to CF9.1.  I ran it again and it will give me the error.  It runs the same code with the same application.cfc.   Now, I have to get Adobe to solve the problem.

Thanks for the help on this.

  • Data custom provider to invoke the Web Service

    Hello!

    When an order is created in OSM we invoke a Web service from the drive section rule of data via a data Instance in the component of the system of recognition of orders. In this way, we could produce a plan of orchestration that evaluates the information returned by the Web service.

    So we did research on data providers in the developer's Guide that says "a data custom provider when the provider is a class is part of the Design Studio project developed as part of a solution. It must implement the provider com.mslv class. oms.view.rule.ExternalInstanceAdapter interface.

    in the javadocs that we refer to the Interface ExternalInstanceAdapter, we find the details of the method:
    org. W3C. DOM. Element retrieveInstance(ViewRuleContext context, < java.lang.String, java.lang.Object > java.util.Map parameters)

    The developer's Guide also found that compiled class adapter must be added "the file in archive customization.jar oms.ear application" because it is necessary to decompress the osm.ear

    In this search for information I have do to reach my cartridges PIP research objective more precisely the 'CommunicationsSalesOrderFulfillmentPIP' project and found there a Custom Data provider exactly like 'OsmWebServiceAdapter' required and class of supplier was "com.mslv. oms.view.rule.adapter.OsmWebServiceAdapter "which is not found in the project, so I guess it should already be part of the file oms.ear.

    If anyone could tell me where to find the class that implements the data provider, I would be grateful if you could help me, because I have concerns on how to implement the method that I outlined in the javadocs and make the call to a web service.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Andres;

    In your example, the $reuso contains the response to the web service operation, you call. $reuso will be the element to response document root (for example, the item: soap envelope). Yes, $reuso / soap: Body will be the body, etc. Note that you declare all your namespaces in xquery, you need to reference to navigate in your response to your element of document. Note that the element don't have a namespace, so this will make it a little more difficult navigation - better if possible to ensure that this item also has a name space as well.

    As for the source of your error, I suspect it's because you're trying to put all the contents of the soap envelope: in the ReusoInfraestructura element. Unless ReusoInfraestructura is a type of OSM XML component, OSM validation will fail because it does not meet the requirements of this type (only XML elements may themselves contain elements). Is there more information in the about the error stack trace?

  • Invoke a Web service when opening the PDF file

    Hello!

    I have this Web service to generate a sequence number when the user clicks a button on the PDF form.

    How do I call the service whenever the form is opened, rather than wait for a click on the button?

    Thank you for all the ideas!

    Marcos

    1) there are a number of events that fire off when a form opens / opens / just opened... etc.

    Example events that can be used

    Any initialization of field...

    form: ready

    layout: ready

    docReady (is probably best for your purpose)

    Remember each event behaves differently and at different times, and a few bubbles - for your application described, I would use the docReady event

    2)

    To run the Web service button programmatically:

    btn.execEvent ("click");

    3)

  • Invoke web service: Invocation - ALC-DSC-003-000 - error: content is not allowed in prolog

    I try to call a web service with the activity to invoke the Web Service in livecycle ES4 and it gives me an error of the Invocation.

    Here's the thing.

    I tried to use a paste of direct copy of a soap of SOAPUI request where it works perfectly fine. What is more, I tried using this same copy paste in the part of the test of the activity to invoke the Web Service in livecycle where it also works perfectly well.

    When I try to call the process, however, it fails.

    Any ideas on how to solve it?

  • Web services and Sessions

    Hello

    Is it possible to maintain a session on the server for the duration of a series of web service for an individual consumer requests?

    What I want to do, it is something like this:
    1. the consumer to invoke the Web service with a name of user and password combination in the SOAP header.
    2. the web service authenticates the user on the database and inserts a session id in the SOAP header.
    3. the consumer makes another call to the webservice for some data, and if the session id matches the session stored on the server, the web service returns data for this and all subsequent applications that have the id correct session stored in the SOAP header.

    Does anyone know if there is any way I can do this or do I must write the data to a database and the text for each call?

    Hi all

    I need to invoke a web service secured a BPM process. I do the following

    < name = "oracle.webservices.auth.password property" type = "xs: String" "

  • ADF Mobile | using secure web services

    Hi all

    I'm pretty new to ADF Mobile, I use JDev 11.1.2.4.

    In my Mobile application I want to use the secure web service.

    Here's what I do:

    1. creation of a data control based on the WSDL binding.

    2. get the web service methods in the data control.

    3. during the race, I'm getting that error "oracle.j2ee.ws.client.jaxws.JRFSOAPFaultException: Client from server SOAP fault: Missing < wsse: Security > in the SOAP header.

    When trying to run the WSDL binding in SOAP UI, I need set request username and passwordproperties, then only I will be able to invoke this web service.

    Here, my question is where can I set these properties for the data control to the web service ?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

    Hi Shay,

    Thank you very much for the reply, I'm able to resolve the problem with the approach mentioned user guide.

    I forgot to set it up for the first time: ADF Mobile allows you to specify a custom provider class in your DataControls.dcx file. This custom class extends oracle.adfinternal.model.adapter.webservice.provider.soap.SOAPProvider . You can use it to specify an implementation of the SoapHeader[] getAdditionalSoapHeaders() method

    Example 9-1 shows how to extend the SOAPProvider and create a custom header has shown in example 9-2

    package provider.ebs.soap;

    Import oracle.adfinternal.model.adapter.webservice.provider.soap.SOAPProvider;

    Import oracle.adfinternal.model.adapter.webservice.provider.soap.SoapHeader;

    SerializableAttribute public class EBSSOAPProvider extends SOAPProvider {}

    SoapHeader public getAdditionalSoapHeaders() {}]

    SoapHeader header [] = SoapHeader News [2];

    SoapHeader token = null;

    SoapHeader user = null;

    SoapHeader pass = null;

    header [0] = new SoapHeader ("http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/soaprovider/plsql/fnd_user_pkg/",

    "SOAHeader");

    header [0] .addChild (new SoapHeader)

    "http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/fnd/soaprovider/plsql/fnd_user_pkg/,"

    "Responsibility."

  • Call web service from pl/sql

    Dear all,

    I have the web service where I need to take the picture as a binary stream and insert it into the blob.

    What is the best way to call the web service and store a photo as a binary stream (jpg file) into blob?

    Kind regards

    I received the message, now I need to decode an image base64binary. Is it possible to make hollow pl/sql or java should I use?

    PL/SQL. No need for Java.

    An example of how encoding works is in {message identifier: = 10364104}. You simply do the reverse (decoding) that makes the example code (coding).

  • the initialization of a variable in a bpel workflow to call another web service

    Hello

    I'm fairly new development bpel. I don't have a early created myself but unfortunately, I only got to work on existing projects from now on. I am wanting to add an invocation of another web service to an existing bpel service. I added the wsdl for .bpel and composite.xml files info, and I can see the operations, so my plan is to see the service properly, and I created the necessary links.

    I just need to initialize the variables that I'm passing on this web service. Basically need to invoke the web service passing in xml format that would go into these elements:

    < ns1:dataRequest >
    < ns1:appName > < / ns1:appName >
    < ns1:progName > < / ns1:progName >
    < ns1:valueUsed > < / ns1:valueUsed >
    < ns1:setting > < / ns1:setting >
    < / ns1:dataRequest >

    Can someone just point me in the right direction on this. I think I need to create a new .wsdl file that I've read so far, but I have a lot of time looking for this problem - it is low on my priorities. So I thought that it might accelerate things to go ahead and ask here before I dive into it later.

    Thank you

    Hello

    As far as I get your situation is you want to call a web service from BPEL process existing. Here are the steps that you can follow.

    (1) create a partner link in the BPEL process that calls the external Web service.
    (2) create an activiyt to invoke in BPEL process that invokes the foregoing created partner link
    (3) create an Assign activity that initializes the variable which is an entry to invoke activity.

    Let me know if you have confusion with this approach.

    Thank you

  • How to access json data assigned to a CF Web service

    Hi all

    I have an application of ExtJS which makes a call to a Coldfusion Web service and sends a json in the POST request object. In Firebug, I see the json object is posted, but I can't seem to access it in Coldfusion.

    Anyone know how or if this is possible?

  • Unable to access Web services interactive statement

    I have a project in Flash Builder to work where I generate a file of nav that I use to generate an Interactive instruction using a process in Workbench.

    The Interactive statement works very well with all the Flash content and the merged from xml data.

    When I stir using a Web Service in code of Flash Builder project to fill a data grid and regenerate the file nav to generate interactive instruction, interactive instruction gives the following opening security error:

    Security error to access the url

    Destination: DefaultHTTP

    It seems that this problem is bound to go through the policy area or something like that, BUT I don't get this error when:

    1. I ran the Flash Builder directly from Flash Builder project that turns on IE and my flash content works perfectly fine in the HTML wrapper, including the web service call that works very well. It works very well as a bin-release folder of my project in Flash Builder and the bin-debug.

    2. I created an AIR application from scratch and consumed the webservice as well as used in the previous Flash Builder project used to generate the file nav for Interactive instruction. The AIR application also works perfectly well to invoke the web service and doesn't give any errors.

    Question: Why my Interactive statement impossible to access the web service and gives the error as mentioned above when the same web service is accessed and used successfully by the same flash content in a html wrapper and an AIR application. How to make my flash content embedded in the PDF container to access and use the web service?

    Hi Muhammad,

    Acrobat has crossdomain different restrictions.  Try a crossdomain file that looks to test the connection:

    Then there are a few good articles on web service calls:

  • Problem of DH handshake with the web service using ColdFusion 7 and 8 after java update 8

    ColdFusion 7 and 8 are provided with a variant of JRE1.6.

    I have a script that has consumed a web service for years with success.  Last week, the web service provider updated their version of Apache and Java on the server java 1.8 (or java-8).

    I could no longer consume the web service once the web service provider updated to Apache and Java and would be the following error DH keypair every time that I try to consume the service:

    -----------------

    I asked the service provider web, why it would stop working and how we can solve this problem.  They suggested that upgrade to the latest version of Java on my server running ColdFusion.  I did some research and found the problem to be with the amount of memory allocated to the variable containing the encryption key.

    The big problem is when I tried to update java on this particular server (Windows Server 2003), the installation has returned a messaged stating that he could not run on the older operating system and I need to update my OS to install java.

    Does anyone have a workaround in ColdFusion 7 or 8 that you can establish the DH handshake using Java 1.6 on your local server while consuming a web service on a server using Java 1.8?

    Hi, frank000000,

    I know that we had a serious problem with any Java 7 after update 25.  They are off a lot of network permissions and other things, for safety, that used to be available in versions prior to the update 25.  But it's while we were in CF Server 9.

    Since we switched to CF Server 10 (making sure that we got the CF Installer provided with Java 8), we had very few issues related to Java.

    It seems strange to me that the upgrade to 1.8 host while your server is 1.6 would cause problems.  It could very well be something else.  I would like to ask the host for documentation describing exactly how/why their 1.8 may cause interference with your 1.6.

    HTH,

    ^_^

  • Has anyone who successfully registered a web services running ColdFusion 11 with Windows 7, IBM WebSphere 8.5, IBM JDK 1.7

    I'll set up a development zone Windows 7 running IBM WebSphere 8.5 (64-bit), IBM JDK 1.7 (64-bit). I installed the ColdFusion 11 ear (11,0,03,292480) file, but when I try to save a web services in ColdFusion Adminstrator using Web Service Version 1 or 2 times I get the following error.

    Error 500: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003 bad major version; Class = 'com' / Sun/tools/javac/hand, offset = 6

    What I read online (errors in Java: "UnsupportedClassVersionError... bad major version at offset = x '-the quite) the" 'java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: "and"bad major release"means that the project has been compiled with a compiler to Java level higher than the runtime can support." I am under IBM JDK 1.7, when I do a version check (java.exe - version) in the directory bin it is said it is based on Oracle 7u13-b08. I read ColdFusion 11 supports Java 1.7 so I'm not sure what the problem is

    Problem solved! I found the following documentation: installation of the Configuration of JEE - enable web services

    Enable web services

    To enable web services, copy the tools.jar home Java WebSphere using the cfusion/lib directory.

    I'm not entirely sure why I needed to do what it has worked well in ColdFusion 9, JDK 1.6 IBM WebSphere IBM 7. There must be a pretty big difference between 1.7 JDK/software SDK IBM and Oracle/Sun JDK/SDK 1.7.

    Information of manifesto in the tools.jar that ships with ColdFusion 11 says:

    Manifest-Version: 1.0

    Created by: 1.7.0_07 (Oracle Corporation)

    As when the information of the manifesto of the tools.jar I copyied was:

    Manifest-Version: 1.0

    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.7.1

    Created by: 1.7.0 (IBM Corporation)

    Class-Path: ibmorbtools.jar

    I renamed the file tools.jar.bk - non - ibm it's important not to have a file with a ".jar" extension that has the same class on the inside path or it is loaded by the JAVA virtual machine.
