IPad 4 AT & T and Sprint

I have an iPad 4 I used on the network AT & T. Question is can I use this on a Sprint network by replacing the SIM card or Sprint is a different technology? I bought the iPad in an Apple store and not from AT & T. thanks.

Hi Lebastinian,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm kinda not clear about the exact model of the iPad you currently have, but if you want more information about the supported models networks, you can find the following items & pages useful:

Also, if you happen to have a model that accompanies or supports a SIM Apple card, you can change your network data directly from the device, as shown below:

Go to settings - Safari - clear the history and data from the Web site.

If that doesn't work, reset your device. This will not erase your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

My iPad has been slow and unstable - it actually seems to be hung when I use it. • My iPad is running slower and slower.

I closed all applications with no improvement. This can take up to 2 minutes to load a web page. If I do a complete factory reset and deleting. When I log into iTunes and iCloud will be my photos be available? I don't want not to lose them.

Make sure you have a full backup of your iPad on both iTunes AND iCloud. Not just one or the other.

The iTunes backup will be the better, more full backup.

But before that, all this, try first.

    A disclaimer clause.

I make no warranty, express or implied, that my own procedures return EACH older iPad to a usable state, running.

Try all of the following conditions:

Try to reset all the settings in the settings under general app and in the right column under restore.

Try stories reset and delete/reset the caches in all web browsers you use.

If you use Safari, these features may be in the application settings under Safari.

Other browsers have their settings inside the running application itself.

If your iPad has been activated for iCloud, in the application settings under iCloud, to the right, under iCloud Drive, type in iCloud drive and make sure that Safari is off to save data from Safari to iCloud by car.

Also, under iCloud in the application settings, in iCloud Drive, turn the feature off saving for all other desired apps DO NOT the data automatically on iCloud drive.

OR turn off / disable iCloud and iCloud drive entirely if you don't use all the features in iCloud.

If you are using Safari is always causing issues.

Try changing / using web browser third another, different.

I do not use iOS Safari too much more because I found it cause me headaches on some Web sites, regularly, to visit.

I commonly use another third party browser, perfect browser (there are others that can suit your style better web browsing, so look all first to see what third-party browser may work better for you) and I have never experience many questions that Safari was originally.

In the settings app, under the Safari settings panel, tap the Panel and in the right window, turn off / disable Safari Suggestions.

In the application settings tab general, right under the Spotlight search, try to disable the search under the applications who really don't need one research, like some games, remote controls, apps that are really useless to be searched, etc., in order to reduce the list to Spotlight search.

Try to turn the reduced movement.

This is found in the application of settings in the general tab, in the left panel.

In the right panel, look under accessibility, look to reduce the Motion and turn this feature "On".

You should see a significant performance increase on all models of iPad 2, 3 and 4.

In the application settings under the general tab, in the right column, search background App update and enable this setting to "off".

If you have the Mail application iOS set to extract automatically to mail one of the extraction of the default value of time intervals, in the application settings, under mail, Contacts, calendar settings panel, tap this Panel, in the right window, turn off / disable Push Mail and together, go get the mail for each hour or together for a manual removal only for all of your e-mail accounts.

If you are willing to do (I, personally, would not recommend this), some users have reported that turn off find my phone/iPad, in the settings app in iCloud, has improved the performance of iOS, although I have no how this feature could be the cause of such a slowdown in execution, unless it's a bug in the iOS which only affects some iPad users.

Try an another hard reset of your iPad by simultaneously pressing buttons Home and sleep/wake button until your iPad goes to the dark and restarts with the Apple logo, then release the buttons.

    Good luck!

  • I updated my ipad to 9.3 and now it will not activate

    Hello

I usually wait several weeks before updating any apple product, but someone else in my house updated the IPAD 2.  It is currently a brick to the expensive research

"If the problem persists, contact apple to apple.com/uk/support support" which is odd because I'm in New Zealand, in any case, I've tried a few different ways they offered and every way they wanted money from me.

I followed many of the suggestions posted here and elsewhere.  I have:

Connected to my laptop with iTunes, turned off the firewall on the laptop and the router

Connected to a different network, has no assets

Restore from iTunes where iTunes downloaded 9.1 but have not installed on the IPAD 2, saying: it could not activate

Restore from iTunes, failed, saying it was impossible to activate

I have an IPAD 3 which I am unwilling to upgrade at all.

    Any ideas?

    Hi sigh. If difficult.,.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the update on your iPad 2. I know that you have done some troubleshooting on your end, but check out the steps described in the article below to get this sorted out.

Should put you your iPad into recovery mode and then plug it into your computer. Once iTunes recognizes it, you should be prompt or restore your iPad update. Click on update and it will reinstall the update without erasing the content about it.

Two other iPads in the House and my iPad Air2 keep disconnecting my wireless router when I turn MAC filtering AND broadcast THAT SSID is disabled. I can't even manually connect to the router, but when I turn one of these functions, or both, the device will automatically reconnect.  I have a router Linksys WRT of Dual-band 1900AC. I have not had this problem with my previous NetGear router. Does anyone know of a solution?

Before ask you, yes the MAC addresses of my devices are entered into the router. Also, I realize that MAC filtering is not a security measure. It is not my purpose for its use.

    Thank you!

Can you give us more details?

What happens when you try to manually connect?

I'm afraid to say "cannot connect manually" isn't much for us to go. You have "ask to join networks" enabled?

Have you tried to install the app from Linksys? I know this is to configure the router, but maybe it will help you to establish a compatible connection.

It requires the Apple ID and password from the previous owner. If you don't have it and can't get it, then the device is useless to you. Return it for a refund if you can.

Looking for a compatible printer AirPrint for use in the field to print from my iPad 2. Own and use very satisfactory wbt 460 HP with a laptop. All compatible printers AirPrint currently all-in-one and too big for travel or field use.

Whereas several HP printers are among the 15 AirPrints currently on the market, it seems reasonable that HP could provide the upgrade that would make my 460 AirPrint compatible wbt.

I wireless (my fi) and would like to buy the wireless card from the blue tooth, if only the upgrade of the driver was available.

How and when HP can provide a mobile/trip AirPrint printer?

Answer as I am a person of 70 years. Because I am and can be quickly way over my head!

For now, we don't have an Airprint-compatible printer. Future products may include, but are not currently. Products that are compatible Airprint are designed this way, so no upgrade will take place for previous models.

  • iPad offers to remove and reinstall applications during iOS updates... who knew?

If your iPad (and without doubt of iPhone and iPod touch, too) is low on storage space, apparently it will lead you automatically remove apps for you, and reinstall their (and the apps data) after the update:

Is this new, or if I've been living under a rock? In any case, this feature seems very convenient!

Thanks for the tip. It's brand new and a very welcome feature. Whereas Apple called IOS 10 their biggest update, I'm surprised that they did not have a big stink top.
