  Noticed that with iPhone5 set to silent, vibration-free wanted me text messages alerts.

  tried the reset and still nothing

  tried next series/top of another iPhone 5 which worked well...

  But still not vibrating while on silence, for text messages...

  very strange only texts have been affected

  Go to settings > sounds and make sure that this vibration on silent is set on "on".

  With the last 2 ios9.3.1 of recent updates, my IP6S went crazy. A few times it didn't ring for incoming calls, that it goes straight to missed calls. Ditto for the incoming message for SMS or Whatsapp. Ive tried already turned off the phone and even to reinstall updates again its have the same problem.   OK, it's probably a unique situation. I have two iPhones to verizon. One is a 6 sec more not active, the other is a 5s which is activated. Basically, I use 5S for when I go out (where I prefer to use a hand on a bigger screen), and I want to use the 6s more as a second phone (via continuity) exclusively at home (where I prefer a bigger screen on one-handed use), but I am running into problems.

  First of all, let me say that I tried a mini ipad for a few weeks... twice... and every time I found it is too big for what I wanted. I wanted a screen larger than my 5s at home, but I wanted to still be able to easily grab a single hand and use my thumb to scroll. And I wanted to put always in my pocket when I was moving from room to room of my house. The mini was simply too great for that. The 5.5 "more does the job much better. But then again, I prefer the small size of 5 when I when I go out, especially since I don't spend much time on my phone outside the House, so I couldn't use more to replace my main phone.

  Sorry... I'm a bit confused. Which phone has the SIM inside? You will use the 6 s + as an iPod Touch, but your post seems to say that you will use it as a phone your title says.

  Regardless, I think that you need to activate the "iPod Touch", using a SIM card, and then you could remove it. You would lose any function that relies on the SIM door of course.

  Activation of a phone is a thing of the part 2. One for the carrier, one for Apple. A real iPod Touch activation would be fair for Apple.

  I don't think or other device would do anything if not enabled. Internally, your two devices are phones and probably must be activated in this way. Out the SIM card after activation would be where your phone becomes an iPod Touch.

  Have you checked your settings in "do not disturb"?

  Which icon you see on the screen if you toggle the volume upwards or downwards? Without listening to music you should say 'ringtone '.

  Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will lose all data by resetting, but it can cure a few glitches.

  If it does not, and to make sure that this isn't related software, set it back to factory settings, without using any data backup later. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the phone.

  If the sound works, restore the last backup. If the problem returns, the data backup contains damaged data, causing your issues.

  I have a 5 s iPhone that worked perfectly for over 2 years until I've done 10 IOS updated.  Now it won't ring or vibrate for incoming calls.  It will give sound advice for all applications, but not the phone.  I checked the switch on the side, the sound settings, the mute under accessibility, do not disturb and alert by phone settings.  Everything is as it should be to have audibles.  This phone was in a box of Otter for protection since I got it.  Any ideas of what anything else I could do to fix this?  Miss me him each call unless I happen to look at the screen.
