iPhoto crashes on MacOS X 10.8.5, if you have enabled places.

Do a test: If iPhoto will launch once you disconnect from the Internet, the solution is to disable access to Google Maps and disable places of research.

The first versions of iPhoto 11 started to plant for many users suddenly last month.

There is a problem with the functionality of the site, because Google maps will no longer be supported.

See the solution of Huxly647:

Re: iPhoto crashes after opening several times in reply to carvermon Useful

I found a solution that works for me...

1 goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources

2 delete the files 'googlemap.html' and googlesearch.html

IPhoto no longer crashes, site does not work, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Let me know if it works for you guys...

Deletes two files "googlemap.html" and the googlesearch.html of iPhoto application bundle prevents the JavaScript running inside and causing the accident.  Log of course do the same thing. So it's pretty clear that something happened at the end of Google.

To access the files inside the iPhoto application select it in the Finder and ctrl-click on it. Then use the command "Show Package Contents" from the menu.  Open the content subfolder and then resources.

Do not try this fix without making a copy of the iPhoto application before trying to delete the two files of the entire application.

your best bet is maybe to try to resolve the problem without finding the problem.

    Uninstall illustrator cs5

    Then reinstall illustrator cs5.

You probably should have updated to 10.5.8 first.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones RIM Album Art Deamon Yosemite OSX crashes every few seconds.

Since my upgrade to OSX (OSX v 10.10) Yosemite RIM Album Art Deamon chrashes. When I start first it takes about 2-3 minutes before the first crash, then when I dismiss the crash report, it is only a few seconds until the following appears.

BBDM has been installed before the upgrade to Yosemite (it was initially installed on Snow Leopard, but the upgrade was Mavericksk (OSX 10.9))

I uninstalled BBDM, restarted the computer and there is no crashes, but of course I can't save my torch or Playbook. So I re-uploaded BBDM and reinstalled, which required a reboot. After 2-3 minutes, an accident, then the same behavior as before.

Any suggestion would be appreciated, as I have updated both my Mac to the latest version of the software. (BBDM is only installed on one).

    Thank you

Yes, I should have said, if your Contacts are on your Mac as opposed to iCloud then BB link should find OK. Workaround was really to people using iCloud. In this case, the default profile and the profile of Apple are the only two entries in the address book of Contacts stored on your Mac.

    Hi ATR (in addition to the answer);

    Success!

If I double click at a location chosen in the soundtrack, which is what I need, I discovered "statements.

  • Most applications to hang on startup, OSX, creative cloud

Suddenly, many of my Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, first, InDesign, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Fireworks) hang at startup. Some go beyond the start screen and show the gui, but hangs then on it, some never show anything other than bumping icon in the taskbar. It is interesting to Lightroom works. Acrobat works initially, but later crashes. Small tools are ok (Distiller, Content Viewer, Widget Browser, Media Encoder)

Resettlement has not worked. Removal of the configuration (~/Library/Preferences/Adobe) has failed. I guess it must be something that is common to large applications. But what?

Is there a quick way to uninstall everything at once?

Any quick help is very appreciated.

Edit: Completely reinstall all applications adobe has helped.

Thanks for letting us know that reinstall applications helped as this seemed to be a problem with some files or preferences corupt.

  • CS6 of MacBookPro (OSX version 10.7.5) transfer to new

I have acquired a new MacBook Pro and need to transfer my CS6 existing to the new computer. Any thoughts on how to do it correctly? TIA

Just get the installation files and install on the new machine.  You can keep the original as a backup installation, if you like, because you are allowed to have two active facilities.  If you do not then the minimum you need to do with the old is to turn it off.

  • AE7 hangs on MacBookPro - 10.5.7

HI - this is the situation in a few words. The computer is 20 days.  15 '', 4 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M graphics card.

Suddenly the application could be passed out of the screen.  I would restart and it would be good for 20-30 minutes and then everything turns off itself.  Now he makes 1 minute video.

What is the routine of troubleshooting for a situation like this?  Should what settings/preferences I check?

I never had problems with my old G4 of low power.  What is happening to others?  Why After Effects is like that?

    TIA, some experts of entry,

    JL

This is not surprising at all, JL.

Intel-based Macbook Pro. As you know, in 2006, Apple moved all its "lines of computers to Intel processors after more than 20 years, using PowerPC processors.

After Effects 7.0 was created before Apple even announced its "intention to switch to Intel processors. For this reason, it is designed for processors PowerPC (Mac, of course), like all the versions before AE 7.

Why it runs on your PBM, it is because Apple has added to the Mac OS called "Rosetta" software technology that converts the PowerPC code to Intel code on the fly. But Rosetta is really intended for very simple applications, like word processing (for example). When you try to use AE 7 on a Mac with Intel processor, it takes a lot more memory that it should, and it runs much MUCH slower than it is possible. Demanding tasks such as EI wih performs, lack of reliability and instability are unfortunately expected due to the conversion of Rosetta.

So, you really need an AE version designed for Intel processors. It will be stable as it was designed to be, and it runs much, much faster on your Macbook Pro. After that Effects CS3 was the first this version and now AE CS4 is Intel only.

  • OSX become insensitive and then back to reagent after a few minutes

I know that there are other discussions about this, but I still write most of the son seems to point to Safari as the culprit, even though I think it's more like a problem with the drivers.

I have 21.5 "iMac OSX El Capitan 10.11.5 running end of 2012.

I noticed randomly becomes unresponsive by slowing down quickly until all blocked programs, but the mouse cursor moves again, and the screen saver strikes after some time and I can get by moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard.

If I wait minutes (10-15 minutes usually) it becomes sensitive.

I tried to watch the console log, but it seems that everything hangs and then everything comes back to life and nothing is written to the log in the meantime.

My suspect is that it is either a graphic card or bluetooth issue, but certainly something wrong with some drivers because the same version of Mac OS x on a different material does not suffer from this problem.

It becomes more obvious when you have Chrome with many tabs open and parallel with a virtual machine running at the same time.

I tried to nail him with different tools, but because everything becomes insensitive, even diagnostic tools running on that same box are of no use because they just stop and recover as all other processes without even noticing the time gap between the two.

Is there anyone who has an idea how to debug this problem, either with the external hardware or any other means?

    See you soon!

Since you're talking about Chrome and parallel: the amount of RAM that iMac has? And how much space to spare?

  • Cannot start Thunderbird without hanging and force quit. [Mac] Developed after trying to remove a large amount of emails. Unknown CAUSE (problem gone)

I made unusable Thunderbird! Whenever I start it now, it immediately crashes and I have to force him to leave.

I have deleted thousands of emails, file by file and he was fine, but I must have overloaded it with work or something, because it crashed. Now, I can't even try solve the problems, because it does not actually work.

I reinstalled it - same problem. I tried to open it in safe mode - same problem.

    Help!

Restart the operating system in safe mode with network. This loads only the basics needed to start your computer while allowing Internet access. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX

You know that this safe mode information is based on knowledge of apple.
