I did not use a conventional mouse shaped move-your-hand-across old style in several years and the another model of mouse tractball, I simply do not like. Did you install all the necessary drivers, firmware and/or software Intellisoft of the mouse and then restart?

You have good batteries in the mouse?

Verify that the mouse is compatible with working computer and your operating system?

Have you checked the mouse icon in the control panel (after all of the above) to a setting to activate?

Contact the vendor of your computer and see if you need to update something else.  When I installed my wireless mouse, it wouldn't work until I updated the touchpad, the firmware drivers and.

  • My Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse does not communicate with the Transceiver.

After the return from a road trip, I plugged my Miccrosoft wireless optical mouse and keyboard. At first, communicate with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, but the keyboard now works. The mouse works sporadically if I push the reset button on the Transceiver and he travels the three lights. When I check the State of the mouse, it shows good batteries (I replaced the still) and the right signal. The computer apparently see the mouse, but somehow the orders do not get through the ARVA. Any ideas?

    Hi Peter,.

What is the model number of the Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse?

I suggest you try to connect the transceiver to another port. Then check the behavior of the device. By trying the receiver on a different port, you can eliminate all the problems affecting the port itself.

    Hello.

I have Microsoft Wireless 1000 keyboard and an optical mouse wireless Microsoft 2000, they worked fine on my old computer with XP.

Now, I bought an Acer Predator G3620 with Windows 7 and my computer does not start. He stops and beeps when it says "Press DEL to enter setup", this continues to the repeat. When I use the wired Acer keyboard and mouse the computer starts normally.

When I inserted the original CD with the drivers, it gave an error of compatibility with this version of windows. So I downloaded the drivers and everything seemed fine. But when I start the computer (or reboot) I have to disconnect the transmitter/receiver or the computer stops and beeps.

Once the computer is turned on, I can reconnect the transceiver, and it works fine.

Find it me hard to believe that it has to bee like that.

  • Microsoft comfort optical mouse 3000

Is it possible to open and clean the inside of this mouse? A drink was spilled on it and the left clicker sticks...

    Hi Izzy_dead,

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

If you open the mouse, I'm not sure you'd be able to get the equipment working again.    If you open the mouse with a small screwdriver and use a q-tip with possibly a liquid cleaning on tiptoe, you won't might be able to get the mouse working again after the back together.  The mouse is an optical mouse and the chances are that the drink that spread on the mouse caused the sensor do fail or show signs of failure.  It might be the mouse is already a failure and cleanup would not solve the problem, it could try to clean the mouse would be the only option other then buy a different mouse.  The sensors are the question dispute you, it is the Commission circuit unlike ps2 mice who have been able to open and clean the dust easily of.

Let us know if you would like more information.

  • Mouse and keyboard Center does not detect MS Trackball Optical

When I plugged a Microsoft Trackball Optical on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, it automatically downloaded and installed Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center - who said no. Device detected detected.

Awesome! A Microsoft program that cannot detect automatically detected Microsoft device that is on the list of devices supported. So amazing that I could just cry, laugh or both.

Strange thing however, on my desktop PC, also under Win 7 Ultimate, there nothing done except that work when I plugged an identical MS Trackball Optical.

  • MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 300 - no longer works

I have a laptop with Vista as my current program.  I have a Microsoft Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 since the first day Wirless.  The mouse was working very well!  I use computer a day and the wireless mouse no longer works.  Green light on the USB key is on, red light on the mouse is on.  I'm in the peripherals - mouse and it shows active.  I even remove the USB and it shows then it isn't here.  Here's my question - why the mouse will not talk to the USB port and works now?  I even went out and bought a different MS Mouse and it didn't work either.  All known manufacturing, programming, software between MS and Vista mouse problems?

Perhaps Windows does not recognize the mouse as real human interface device. If you go into Device Manager, highlight unfamiliar material, choose Update driver and then manually point it on either

    C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\mouclass.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\mouhid.sys

  • win 8, compact optical mouse 500 v.2.0 undetected on a single laptop

    Hi all!

I've encountered the following problem and was hoping that some users could help me:

Yesterday, I was using my Microsoft Compact Optical Mouse 500 v.2.0 on my laptop Asus A75V (Win 8, x 64). Today, the mouse responds, well plugged into the USB port (laser light still works normally). I first thought that the problem is in the USB port, so I tried to plug it into another port, but that was of no use. So I was wondering if all my USB ports comes to die: no, they have not, because when I plugged USB devices on each of the USB ports, all of them have been recognized perfectly (a mechanical mouse, an mp3 player and a smartphone). So I thought that the problem is not in the USB, but in mice himself, who had me test the mouse on a second laptop, Asus also: surprise, 'resurrected' mouse and it worked normally. So I suspect a problem software on my PC and uninstalled, then reinstalled the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center - which also did not help. At the point of desperation, I went to the Manager of peripherals-> mouse, just to know that, apparently, the laptop does not recognize the existence of the optical mouse and only shows Clickpad ASUS of Port PS/2. I decided to persevere and seen the hidden devices in the Manager as well, just to discover that the mouse is not found in HID-compatible mouse option either.

It is really annoying and the troubleshooter in Microsoft's not going beyond which suggests to plug the mouse into a different USB port...

    Help? =(

    Hi Pavel,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.

I'm sorry to know that the mouse does not work on the laptop. I appreciate your efforts to try to solve this problem.

It seems that Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center or the laptop itself is unable to detect the device for some unknown reason.

Kindly, follow these steps and check if that helps.

    Method 1:
If your laptop does not recognize the mouse, you can download and install the latest version of the USB 3.0 driver.

    http://support.ASUS.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=A75VM&OS=30

    Download and install the drivers
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/all-drivers

    Method 2:
If this does not help and you also mentioned that this issue has started recently, you try to perform a system restore to that date, where he worked. This will help to restore any important place that has occurred.
    Please follow this link:
Restore the PC to a closest in time.
