IPhoto breaking when running a slide show

Hello

My iPhoto 11 9.4.3 crashes whenever I try to run a slide show. I have a 2012 end Macbook Pro osx 10.8.5 with all updates of operation. I tried a lot of things.

I rebuilt and repaired each option with the option/command start of iPhoto on libraries, but nothing helped.

Can someone help me please, thank you.

Here is the message I get to send to apple. It is not the complete message, but can send it if necessary.

The changes were that simply the message to apple is not the complete message. Can send the complete message if necessary.

Older versions of iphoto are break when they use the functionality of the site.  Slide show you uses it maybe places?

The problem is, that Apple has not renewed the contract with Google for access to location servers, and older versions of iPhoto will plant it, when they need to find a location and try to access Google's servers.

See this: Bug: iPhoto 9.4 crashing when viewing the scene

You have several options as described in the tip of the user:

  • Try to upgrade to a version of iPhoto that uses different servers, if you can update to iPhoto 9.6.1 on Sierra. IPhoto 9.5.1 find use serve various places of research.
  • Patch iPhoto to delete the iPhoto Application package Java script code
  • Patching javascript files and add your own for Googles servers access key.

  • Output slideshows, or break down a large slide show in smaller slideshows

I'm trying out a slide show of Photoshop Elements 6.0 in Premiere Elements 4.0.  Each time, I get an error message that says: "the importer reported a generic error."  I am able to output other slide shows, so I guess it has something to do with that particular slideshow. Maybe the size? It is 24 minutes long with about 200 photos.  I don't mind break up into smaller slideshows, but now that it is complete I don't know how to do it easily.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you

One of the factors to consider before working to break the slide show to several smaller parties are the amount of free space you have on your hard drive.  Your system drive (drive C in most cases) may be running out of space, and causing a problem with 200 photos. If you can delete the unused files from your system drive, which can solve your current problem and avoid the need to divide the slideshow.

If you have more than a system hard drive, another consideration is hence are the files for your placed Premiere Elements projects. It is usually best to do them on your second hard drive instead of on the hard drive of the system.

I broke a slideshow several parts, but he was in an earlier version. I think that process work with PSE 6 but I'm not sure.

1 open the slideshow editor and SAVE this slideshow (it is a backup of the project slideshow: NOT an exit command) under another name

2 - after that record, you should now see a new tile in the organizer with the name you assign to the recent record. It is very important that you find and check both the thumbnail for the newly named slide show project (it is now a copy of the original) and the original for the name Moose slideshow thumbnail.

3 - Open the slide show project that is the copy and identify a logical place to split slide show: try to avoid splitting in the middle of a piece of music or between slides with a symbol of the bond between them.  Delete all the point sharing at the end and then save the slide show with a 3rd single name project:.

4 - Send this first "half" the slide show to Premiere Elements split and then close the slideshow PES Editor: If the slide show seems to be OK in Premiere Elements, Premiere Elements open and check that the ICT MOU is positioned at the end of this slide show (I think it will be)

5 find the thumnbnail for a copy of the full slideshow project and open it in the editor of PES slideshow: supprimer delete the start point split, save the slide show PES with a 4th DN project and send to Premiere Elements

  • When running the defragmentation, showing a bar with files which is displaced

While you run Disk Defragmenter to botom of window bar indicates progress and moved the files. I looked at the names of files that is displaced, and some are very strange. Recently a few names were similar.  names cannot be exactly as show, but very similar. Really not sure if this may indicate any adware or spyware.

You can see the files in your browser cache internet or other temporary files.  For best results, you need to "clean" your as much as possible before you run Disk Defragmenter.

You can use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool (start > run > cleanmgr > OK) or an application such as Ccleaner or ATF-Cleaner.  With any of these cleaning products, including the built-in Disk Cleanup tool, you will need to exercise judgment a little in what you remove.  Do not use the 'Register' tool that comes with Ccleaner.  Do not delete the files 'Prefetch' offered by ATF-Cleaner.

You can delete your temporary Internet (aka browser cache) files directly from the browser.  For IE, start by clicking Tools > Internet Options.  Where to go from there depends on what version of Internet Explorer you have.  For Firefox, Options > advanced > network > clear now (under storage offline)

If you have multiple user accounts, log on to each of them and use the disk cleaner of your choice.

  • Lightroom 6.2.1 stops when exporting video slide show

Since the upgrade to 6.1 to 6.2.1 I can't export a slideshow as a video.  It starts the process, the progress bar indicates he may go 10 or 15%, then Lightroom stops and there is no file in my output folder.  I'm on Windows 10.  It worked fine before the upgrade to 6.2.1.  I tried to reset all my preferences and that did not help.  I tried a selection of slides, like maybe 20, much smaller and it still does not work.  I tried with no music or with music.   What can I do?  Is - this another known bug in 6.2.x?

    Aram

Workaround, at least on one of my computers.  In my view, there is a lack of interest in my problem since nobody answered to my previous posts, but maybe I can help someone with my solution.

I asked a few friends to photo if they had the problem and none did.  But I also noticed that all my computers using Intel's HD video system on the motherboard.  None of my friends have been.  I downloaded the latest drivers from Intel and which did not fix the problem.  On my desk, at least I had the option to add a dedicated video card.  So I bought a map of the Radeon chipset, installed and then tried.  I got a different error.

He said "Defunct sequencer" when I tried to go to the slideshow module.  I found the fix for this:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Lightroom/KB/error--sequencer-defunct--when-switching-to-Slideshow - module.html

so, if you have this problem, try to get the latest update for your video driver, or if you have the Intel HD video, buy a dedicated video card.  I hope Adobe will solve this problem with 6.4 and I will be able to use my laptop again to export video.  I supported it until 6.1.1 so it does not work.

I just had a thought.  I will try this fix on the laptop to see if that does anything.  Can't hurt.

  • loop does not work when exporting my slide show

Photos (1.5) loop works on the slideshow which saves to iTunes, but not when I save on USB or play office.

Photos documentation does not, if the "Loop" function is supposed to be exported with the video rendering.

But you can play the video in QuickTime Player as an infinite loop using the command "View > loop ⌥⌘L.

You can report the problem to Apple: Apple - Photos - comments

It's a bug or a problem of incomplete documentation.

  • Only the 5 songs play after adding them to run the slide show

Original title: using Windows Movie Maker

I created my slideshow (duration 17 minutes) and you have downloaded 5 songs to play. Only the first song will play and he puts down the rest of them. I can change the order and whatever song I first play but no song after that... help please!

    http://myvideoproblems.com/tutorials/VersionNumber.htm

Maybe he did not do a good job of conversion, and/or MP3, it does are not compatible. As you have not said what converter you used I don't know if you can choose wav as an output option. :)  Use the help file to find out. Otherwise, use another converter of the change to wav, freemake is good as audacity.

    http://myvideoproblems.com/webpages/UsefulProgrammes.htm

You did not say what type of file, the images are.

The fact that a song plays and other shows incompatibility.

  • iPhoto 11 crashes when you try to use the slide show

    Hello

My iPhoto 11 9.4.3 crashes whenever I try to run a slide show. I have a 2012 end Macbook Pro osx 10.8.5 with all updates of operation. I tried a lot of things. I have several libraries and each the same plant. I created a new library and loaded new pictures with the same result. I rebuilt and repaired each option with the option/command start of iPhoto on libraries. I have rebuilt libraries with iPhoto Manager with the same result, it hangs at the start a slide show. It seems to be a message that cannot be read just before she leaves.

I think I installed new iPhoto 11 of my purchases, but perhaps did not it good as I didn't delete the iphoto.pkg from the front desk of the library, but I was wondering if another problem exists. I got the below error report.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

A lot of older versions of iPhoto 11 this meet right now:

    Huxly647 discovered this fix

    1 goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources

    2 delete the files 'googlemap.html' and googlesearch.html

IPhoto no longer crashes, site does not work, but it doesn't bother me too much.

  • When I try to use the impromptu slide show I get the message "video support is disabled" how to activate it?

When I try to use the impromptu slide show I get the message "video support is disabled" how to activate it?

It is a "Bug" in the software, waiting for a fix.

It can be corrected temporarily by open images in the slideshow beforehand module and run the slide show IN THE module.

When you return to the library grid view, the impromptu slideshow (Ctrl + Enter) will work.

  • I can't stop slide show of Photos showing the file name at the beginning?

I made a slideshow for a crowdfunding charity event, but the Organizer is hampered by the fact that the file name displayed in large characters, hiding part of the actual text, when the slideshow begins to play. I can't find anything in the controls or insufficient preferences to stop what is happening, someone at - it ideas? I admit it is a bit ridiculous.

    Thank you!

    Kit.

Using Photos or iPhoto to run your slide show?  Only the project title appears automatically on the first slide and does not display the names of files.  The user needs to add additional text/filename to each slide with Photosl

If you use iPhoto then click the gear pinion and check the Show Legend checkbox is unchecked in the slideshow settings window:

  • ATV4 shows the same picture all the time during the slide show

I have a few 1000 streaming photo to my ATV4; When you make a slideshow on ATV4 it will be only shuffle through a random selection of about 50 photos. This selection changes but every time I start a new slide show. The option to turn off "repeat photo" is not to make a difference. The problem is both and runs a slide show showing pictures as screen saver. Need some help here... showing the photo is one of the main reasons I bought the ATV. Never had this problem with ATV 1st gen.

Apple TV uses only a small amount of space to temporarily cache the photos, it is mainly a streaming device. The 1st generation had a hard drive accessible and synchronization capabilities.

  • slide show does not display images in order

I have a jpg of the pictures and when I run the slide show that they are not displayed in the order in which they are in or by the name of the image. How can I fix?

  • 12 - slide show crash of the elements

Just downloaded 12 elements (and uninstalled Elements 7), so just begin to understand. Main interface is a bit different. Had 2 questions:

Where is the "Display" button that loads the entire file for display (not an enlarged thumbnail)? Used to be at the top right in version 7.

Seriously, when I try to run a slide show, the program stops. quite serious problem. Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong!

Have you tried the F11 shortcut to use mode full screen?

  • What video file is open and slide show is chosen video shutter as they play

If I open my vidoe file and choose slide show I get shutter video but the sound is ok Note: videos from the same folder play well in Windows Media payer and they pay as well in Windows Media Center. My system is Vista Home Premium and has 4 GB of memory and a 320 GB hard drive and a GeForce 220 PCI-E video card I also have equipped with a Win on PCI tv card. Everything seems to work right!  As I said, open the video folder and slide show has chosen so it would play all the videos in the folder as a side show that I get video shutter (it's a lot for the player to see the side)? When you choose slide show, which opens to play them?

Don't know if this is a real problem because they seem to work in slide show itself well. I can't reproduce your problem.

I suggest that you could look and see if you can get the updated for your video card drivers. Go to the manufacturer of the video card and download the driver.

You can get the name of the video card if you don't in Manager devices, graphics cards.

    I hope this helps.

  • Slide show does not work

I just copied some pictures from my camera in a new folder. I click on "Slideshow" to see, but nothing happens. If I select photos clicking and CTRL, it works. With other records, the slide show is running as before

    That's happened?

    Thank you, David

Now, I find that the slideshow works with certain records created earlier, but not others!

    Hello

    ·        That is the application helps you to see the pictures?

    ·        What is the file format of the images that you are not able to run as a slide show?

If you use Windows Photo Gallery to run the slide show, you can run the hotfix in the following article data and check if this is useful.

  • The slide show does not.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I've been running a slide show on the Bureau for more than a year now, but it has stopped working & wallpaper is now set on a solid color.  I can change the color, but can not set the background to nothing else, not even a theme installed.  What happened & how can I fix?

    Hello

    Step 1: Try this:

a a.. While holding down the Windows logo on the keyboard button, press R to open the run.

    (b) copy and paste this into the box, and then press ENTER:

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\

    c. remove the TranscodedWallpaper.jpg file and then try to change your background again.
