IPOD does not

I was listening to my IPod nano third generation

4Gwith the iPod / Universal MP3 car Audio Cassette adapter and everything was going good iPod played perfectly.  We had a problem with our electric cooler cord plugged into the cigarette lighter. I moved try iPod out of the way, then he would not get dropped on the floor while my husband was trying to correct the card I put it on the visor and I put another sunscreen on it, so it wouldn't fall. Well guess what my iPod will not play now. All I have is a black screen and nothing what it does it does not turn off. It is not at all had broken air. Could I have ruined someway by placing it between two visors. I don't think that an iPod would be otherwise sensitive. I came with a car once and broke into pieces, but she played. No idea what could be wrong with it?  It seems a blank screen, in good form. I see no damage to whatever he played fine 3 minutes before that. It is only between 2 visors not more than 4 minutes. No idea what could be wrong with it? I tried to connect to the computer, but the computer says it is not connected I put it on the radio charger but nothing

You have run on THIS particular iPod with your car?

Did you do a Reset (reboot) on the iPod?

  • My new iPod does not connect to my 2006 iMac G5 - how to download all my music iTunes (mainly CDs) on my iPod. ?

MY new iPod does not connect to my 2006 G5 iMac. How can I download my iTunes (music mainly from my own CD) library on my new iPod. My iMac works well, but running an ancient operating system that does not seem to be updated capable?

This is not possible.  I don't know what specific iPod model you have, but any new iPod does not work with a Mac running Mac OS X 10.4.11 (and support older version of iTunes).

There are more older models iPod work (you can buy used) and many of them, in my opinion, have GREAT sound quality.  To playback audio, new does not mean better.

  • IPod does not turn on

I tried to charge the ipod with two different Chargers and the screen does nothing, it's all black.  I tried to hold power, wake up and low volume to start that and it still does nothing.  Is there a trick to make it start?

I'm surprised that no one has responded.  Maybe the community thinks that you have a hardware problem?  To force a reboot hold home and On / Off button together for a while (some people say ten seconds but sometimes it takes longer than that).  Do not forget that the iPod is charged a little or it still not re start.  If it does not my suggestion is a trip to the Genius bar for help as it sounds like a hardware problem.

  • my ipod does not turn. When I put on his orange light continues to blink.

My Ipod shuffle is not coming. When I put on the pricing still show the orange light flashing continuously.

Flashing light (by itself) does not indicate that a problem.  Blinking light means "do not disconnect - eject the iPod before disconnecting."  It shows there is a connection between the shuffle and computer data.

Are you using a Mac or a Windows PC?  If Windows, which version (including 32-bit or 64-bit)?

My Ipod shuffle is not coming.

Don't know what that means...  The shuffle appears in iTunes when you connect?

I use iTunes on windows xp

There's iTunes changed the appearance of the Podcasts section and now is very misleading. Under the old regime, it was obvious when a Podcast was simply stated in the library but not downloaded. Now, it is not so obvious.

In your library of Podcasts, watch the episode titles. If you see a cloud-and-down-arrow icon right of a title, while the episode is not downloaded to your computer, it is simply shown as available.

Given that the episode is not on the computer, this is why it does not terminate on your iPod. Click the icon below to download this episode.

  • iPod does not sync all

I got an iPod 2nd generation with all my songs. When I went to charge it I kept getting a do not disconnect and after loading all my songs were still gone on iTunes. I bought a 7th generation iPod and now used to synchronize all my songs and many of them have an I in a circle before the name of the song.  Never had a problem to solve.

The problem of 'missing file' with exclamation points occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl-I to get information, then click on no when asked to try to locate the runway. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music folder in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced
    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/
    3. The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

  • IPod does not work under Windows Vista on Equium A200

I've had my Ipod for over a year now, I used it fine on my old computer that worked in XP.
I now have my laptop Equium A200 Vista-based series.
When I plugged my ipod to it, he appeared and asked if I would like to connect my ipod to the computer instead of the other pc, so I agreed.
He erased all my songs, if I can put my new music.
Once he did my laptop could not pick up my ipod anywhere.

When I connect my ipod to the laptop makes a noise to show that it is recognized that it is connected but when I go to itunes it is not.
I've been in the Device Manager to check it it has a symble of the ipod with a! mark next to him, so I click on put up-to-date driver, but nothing is ever found.
My Ipod charged fine and works fine, I've been on the Web site of apple that I restored my ipod all they sugested solutions but nothing seems to work. Can anyone please help me that I miss using my ipod.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong place first time user don't know my way around the site still.

Thanks a lot if you can help.

HM, maybe you need to reinstall the Ipod software. It would be the only idea I have. Otherwise you should take a look at the BIG Apple forum. ;)

  • My iPod does not start!

I stop my iPod touch when it was slightly damp in order to preserve and place it in a Cup to allow the water to flow out. I tried to start the next day and nothing happened. I've been tubes in a river with my family and my iPod was in a cardboard box "waterproof". When I pulled it out, there are small drops of water. My iPod has been wet before that worked well.

I feel that the water damage the battery or the port of lightning.

    I tried

    • Holding the power
    • Holding power and the "home" button
    • Him plugging
    • Try to put it into recovery mode

I have iOS 9.3.2 and 32 GB of storage.

I recommend you to visit an Apple store or a service provider authorized Apple for further investigation.
