  After the end of my second day of test error, I put this question on the table:

  I use ArraytoChannels function to store ADO recordsets as strings. What is strange, is that for the first Recordset, it works; but for the next time through the loop, it always fails with the error message 'cannot be added because the channels of the target are not all the same length.

  the RowData sizes and the ChannelNames are equal,

  both spend the isarray = true test,

  I change the order of the ChannelNames,.

  I have reconnected/disconnected from the oConnexion every time, nothing has changed.

  There are really two questions being asked here.

  The first question is to know if there are differences between the implementation of gradients in various Adobe products (and perhaps why this is the case). Assuming an affirmative answer (i.e., Yes) to the first question, the second question is what implementation or method is better (no matter what better may mean).

  Yes, there are differences in the implementation of the gradients in different Adobe products. Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics program. When you make a gradient in Photoshop, you get the actual bits representing the transition from one color to another specified. When you view or print, which is in the raster image is exactly what you get on screen or paper subject to whatever color management is in place.

  Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator, although they can place to raster graphics, natively are text and vector graphics programs. When you define a gradient in one of these programs, the gradient is implemented via PDF/PostScript United shade. When released for printing to PDF or PostScript level 3, which is output is not degraded himself, but a description of the parameters of the gradient. By definition, a language PDF or PostScript level 3 rips create the frame appropriate to the defined gradient based on the solid shadow parameters and characteristics of the device itself.
