Is it possible to create a transparent background with a cutout of jpeg?

Is it possible to create a transparent background with a cutout of jpeg? I want to know how to cut an object in a jpeg file, so it can be used in a Web site.

No jpeg file format does not support transparency. Try the PNG format.

  • Is it possible to get a transparent background for text and to vary the color of the text of the black and white?

    By the question, you can obviously tell that I am a newbie in InDesign. I have a cover of the album I'm working on, and the printer says that exit Photoshop will be rasterized and InDesign is better for clarity. However, in Photoshop, it's easy to overlay text on a chart where the text background is transparent, so the graph through, and it is also easy to change the color of the text if you wish.

    Change the opacity of the slghtly even filling in a text box in InDesign appears to degrade the quality of the text in a substantial way. I do something wrong, and is it possible to get a transparent background around that? And also, text must be only shades of black and white and no other colors?

    I would appreciate anyone who can take the time to respond to what is probably something obvious to most of you.

    I realized that I forgot to include the screen Cap illustration. I'm sorry.

    I seem to be brain dead on terminology, too. The density of Tint slider is clearly labeled hue, no opacity, nuances and not creat a transparent color.

  • creating a transparent background

    Hello

    new Member here, recently bought a copy of 11 items.

    I have an image with a white background Uni, I want to put in place a transparent background. I can't seem to find how to make solid white background transparent.

    I saved the image as a PSD, then used the extractor to magic, hoping that I could highlight in order to maintain the image and then "highlight" the backround to become transparent, but it doesn't seem to work that way.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    They probably changed the letter in your version. Look in the Toolbox - it looks lke a star with rays at the end of a pole.

  • Is it possible to create the text block with non-uniform formatting is applied to the text?

    Hi all

    By this script

    var doc = app.documents.add(70, 20, 300, "Test", NewDocumentMode.RGB);
    var textLayer = doc.artLayers.add();
    textLayer.name = "Text";
    textLayer.kind = LayerKind.TEXT;

    var solidColorRef = new SolidColor();
    solidColorRef.rgb.red = 0;
    solidColorRef.rgb.green = 174;
    solidColorRef.rgb.blue = 239;

    var ti = textLayer.textItem;
    with (ti) {
         contents = "Blah-blah-blah!";
         kind = TextType.PARAGRAPHTEXT;
         height = new UnitValue("20 mm");
         width = new UnitValue("70 mm");
         position = [ new UnitValue("0 mm"), new UnitValue("0 mm") ];
         font = "MinionPro-Bold";
         size = new UnitValue("24 pt");
         color = solidColorRef;
         justification = Justification.CENTER;
    }

    So I can create a block of text with uniform like formatting

    SNAG-0011.png
    But, as far as I understand it, it is impossible to make an image and apply different sizes, colors, etc. (Please confirm or refute it).

    To achieve the result by script as follows:

    SNAG-0014.png

    The r to Browse datashows the formatting only to the beginning of this text.

    What I want to achieve is to take a block of text in the InDesign document and re-create it in psd-file. (The text must be editable)

    Y at - it another way to achieve this: by plug-ins, extensions, incantation, etc.?

    Kind regards
    Kasyan

    So that other things I noticed, it's text.jsx does not work with UnitValues. It uses the action Manager to work with textRanges. And it seems that Adobe changed the textItem units operating. Therefore, it is difficult to understand what values to use. Text.addNewTextLayer () and Text.modifyTextLayer () seem to what different values for the text of the same size.

    So below is an example updated the PS-Scripts-post on how to create a text layer with different textRanges using the current text.jsx.Note I've hard-coded sizes for that to work as I had hoped.

    function tsrDemo(doc) {
         var doc = app.documents.add(new UnitValue(70,'mm'), new UnitValue(20,'mm'), 300, "Test", NewDocumentMode.RGB);
         // we want to create a new text layer so create a new TextOptions with the contents as the argument
          var opts = new TextOptions("Blah-blah-blah!");
           // override the default settings
           opts.layerName = "Test";
           opts.kind = TextType.PARAGRAPHTEXT;
           opts.height = 800;// pixels
           opts.width = 200;
           opts.position = [ 0, 0 ];// pixels
           opts.justification = Justification.CENTER;
           opts.font = Text.findFont("Minion Pro Bold");
           opts.size = 6;// not sure what unit this needs
           opts.color = Text.toRGBColor(0, 174, 239);

           // create a new text layer with those options
         var layer = Text.addNewTextLayer(doc, opts);

           var opts = new TextOptions( layer.textItem);
           opts.contents = layer.textItem.contents;
           // now need to construct TextStyles for each range we want to set
           // for ranges we can only change the font, size, and color
           // first set a textStyle that matches the TextOptions
          var s1 = new TextStyle(undefined,undefined,undefined);
           // now set a textStyle for each different style you want
          var s2 = new TextStyle(undefined, 12, Text.toRGBColor(0, 0,0));// for some reason size values here are not the same scale as above
           // define more TextStyles as needed. here we only need one

          // Now create the set of ranges to apply the styles over
          var ranges = new TextStyleRanges();
           // the first range must start at 0. In this example we want the first range unchanged
           // so we use the TextStyle that matches the TextOptions
           // this range covers the entire contents
          ranges.add(new TextStyleRange(0, opts.contents.length, s1));
           // this range covers the middle 'blah'
           ranges.add(new TextStyleRange(5, 9, s2));
            // we now add the ranges we set to the TextOptions
          opts.ranges = ranges;

           Text.modifyTextLayer(doc, opts, doc.activeLayer);

        };

        tsrDemo();

  • Cannot create a transparent background page to insert in an iframe

    Hello

    I'm trying to insert a page created in Muse inside another page using an iframe in a HTML inclussion. I want to be transparent so that the background of the container page shows thru. The problem is that muse always gives a background color to any page he does, so iframed page background is not transparent.

    My iframe code is:

    < iframe src = "biografia2.html" width = "630" height = "566" seamless frameborder = "0" > < / iframe > "

    And page loading of biografia2 its CSS file corresponding that begins with:

    HTML

    {

    background: #D9D9D9;

    }

    If after exporting the site delete these lines in the CSS file, the iframe appears transparent.

    These lines are generated, because in the editor of Muse, when nothing is selected, therefore the page properties in the toolbar, the last control is the color of the background of the browser, but you cannot set this color to null, so the page always has a color. I think it is a bug in Muse that should be corrected.

    Until then, the only solutions I can see delete the lines mentioned manually after export HTML or creating the iframed page without using Muse.

    I beleve the code to paste into the head section of the Page properties must be

  • Is it possible to create an animated gif with a different hotspot/link on each State?

    Hello! I was unable to find the answer to my question by searching, sorry if this has been discussed already.

    I'm doing a gif animated which is actually a small slideshow with a different link on each slide (or State, as are called Fireworks). But it doesn't seem to let me use a hotspot for all this, even if I insert in the layer instead of in the State. I tried to use slices instead of hot spots, and it does the same thing.

    Is this possible?

    No, you can not do this. It is not a question of fireworks, just the way work GIF animation. You will need to use Flash or Flash Catalyst for this type of functionality.

  • How to create a transparent box with only the colored border visible

    I'm trying to highlight something on a piece of data and I just have a simple box that describes the area of content that I am highlighting, but obviously the viewer must see through the content box.

    Cannot find anything on the elements to see how it's done.

    Thank you

    Doug

    If you want more control you can use the Rectangle tool and add a line with layer styles or lower opacity

    and then you can move, resize, or change the color at any time.

    Highlights:

    1. draw the retangle, double click on the shape layer in the layers panel to select the color and then lower the opacity of the layer to your taste.

    You can use the move tool to reposition the box or resize by clicking on one of the corner handles.

    Race:

    1. pull the rectangle.

    2. in the effects with Layer Styles Panel, choose visibility and hide

    (the color of the rectangle will be diappear)

    3. go to layer > layer Style > Style settings and choose STROKE from the dialog box.

    (you can choose the color and size of the line in the dialog box)

  • How to make a transparent background when editing

    Hello

    I was wondering how to get a transparent background in flash.  I did a lot of research and have seen many forums, but I don't want my file to export to HTML.  Is it possible to have a transparent background, with some having to have a HTML file?  I try this enter into Camtasia Studio, but there is a white rectangle behind the animation, blocking all the rest.

    Thank you

    Orion31

    You export a video to enter in Camtasia? If, therefore, in the export options video there is a checkbox to say to ignore the color of the scene and to generate an alpha channel. Don't say to compress the video in Adobe Media Encoder, just take the MOV file in Camtasia.

    If you say that Camtasia supports importing of SWF files, then it would be Camtasia to make the background transparent.

  • CS 5.5: Strategy for the creation of a transparent background

    Hi, I have an image existing low-resolution of my logo (see attached photo '01'). I am looking to have photoshop do the following:

    1. create a transparent background (so that I can put on a different background color)
    2. create a soft shadow (similar to '02' pic attached)

    The final goal is to achieve the same effect found in the '02' image, but using the Brown appearance hand script of '01' image. I want to maintain the dark brown existing 'stroke '.

    As I am new to photoshop and the image of '01' has some granular shadow existing effects, my attempts at selection are not good.

    All high-level strategy or by referencing site links that could present some final .psd files is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance. Brad

    A simple and direct way would be to use the magic wand tool to select the white area.  You may need to fool with the tolerance to get a good selection, then reverse to do a selection of just signing, excluding white background.

    At this stage, with the enabled signature, use the function [refine edge] and make the result a layer with layer mask.  Use the brush of transition in this tool to help get rid of stains from white/blue.

    The advantage of using a layer mask is that you can then manually paint black on the layer mask to hide additional things, such as dark pixels on the edges.

    Once the signature is isolated so it is easy to add a layer of shadow effect.

  • After doing transparent background is transparent - what a stupid FLEX!

    I created the transparent background. But each item placed on this background is also transparent - only letters are visible. I can't do another background for these components - button example - I can't create the red button:

    The screen on the website application yellow Flex WITH transparent background:

    Anyone know how I can do non-transparent components for transparent background?

    I'm sorry. Should be backgroundAlpha = "0".

    BTW, this stuff is easy to find right in the application. In Design view, look category view in the window of properties of Flex (right) and experiment with different styles. It would be much faster than creating messages and waiting for answers.
