Transparent background of the window?

Is it possible to put a transparent background of the façade, but were still non-transparant indicators appear? (so it looks like indicators that float on the screen?)

Thank you in advance, I hope it's possible, that have yet to do

If you are using Windows, you can use the Windows API to do. See How to make transparent so that some still visible control front panel?

  • How can I change the color of the background of the window?

    How can I change the color of the background of the window? When I create a new document in indesign sometimes the blackground is white, sometimes black or grey and I move forward without knowing why. Thanks for help.

    Ah.

    I've never thought about changing the default is gray for preview, but you can set a different color for the background in preview mode by going into the Guides and pasteboard section of downtown and choose another color from the menu drop-down history. As most of the prefs, if you do this with a file is open, it affects only the current file (and change a file that has a different color, you will need to do one at a time), if you do not open files it will be the default for all new files.

  • Should the popup status bar change the background of the window of appearances?

    I use Firefox 4.0 on Windows 7 with disabled windows transparency. In this case, the window frames (very thick, unfortunately) are completely opaque and display a background image that has an edge from white to blue 30% down from the top. (If you wish, I can provide screenshots.)

    Now, when I pass a link, the pop up with the address appears, and the look of Windows this seems to change the height of the full window. That of why it resizes the frame window's background image and noted edge moves, which is quite annoying. I don't want the old status bar back - but when I hide the pop-up with the add-on 'Status-4-Evar' this problem does not occur.

    I guess that this happens on all machines. At least on mine, it has not been fixed with all add-ons disabled in safe mode.

  • Automatically adjusts the brightness with the background of the window.

    This is a fairly long description of the question, but I tried to be as complete as possible (this looks like a minor problem but it's very embarrassing in the conditions I work often) I have a laptop Dell Inspiron under Windows 7 Home Premium, and I'm having a problem with the brightness of the screen. I was not able to locate any other positions, even with a similar problem:

    Windows automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the background color of any windows is open. When the toggle between light/dark background brightness will increase or decrease respectively. This is unrelated to all conditions of lightning of the room, and I was able to nail that this occurs only when two conditions are met (but she she 100% reproducible in these conditions) 1. Laptop is running on battery and 2. the screen brightness slider is calibrated for lower brightness about settings up to about 30 to 40%.
    I tried to eliminate all possible variables that I can think of, including the diagnosis via msconfig startup. This automatic brightness adjustment occurs independently of the program or the window involved, but here's an example where I cut everything and simply alternate between the Windows desktop (including the black background value) and Windows Explorer (white background).
    EXAMPLE 1: Desktop (black) came, no agenda. I open Windows Explorer (white) and the brightness fades gradually more light for a period of 5 seconds, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick brighter. I reduce Windows Explorer (dark back) and the brightness fades gradually more dark, tick-tick-tick-tick darker. When working in a darkened room this very annoying constant increase or decrease the brightness. Note that the brightness slider is set to the minimum setting all this time (about 40% of the automatic erasure is more noticeable at the point of annoying, even if it is always present, but 40% is way too bright for a darkened room).
    EXAMPLE 2: I opened two tabs in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (that happens for two and all the other programs besides), in a tab of the page Web has a dark background (grey/brick/whatever) while the other tab has a light background (white/yellow/whatever). As I switch between tabs brightness will decrease after the passage in the darker background and rise after the transition to the lighter background, tick-tick-tick-tick-tick discoloration with about 5 seconds each time.
    Since this only occurs on battery you need just a simple setting in Power Options, but I don't the do have not yet localized as and option. I would be grateful all the ideas, and I can provide more information if necessary. Two solutions would be acceptable
    (A) brightness remains constant at the level that I put it independently to know if the laptop is plugged in or on battery power.
    (B) brightness adjusts in a single 'jump' when switch between light/dark circles, rather than erasing more than 5 seconds.
    Thanks for your help

    In fact, after a lot of research and work of suggestions other people, I think I found a solution that works on my machine. (I'm saying I think because I shot to the top of a black web page, he gave way to the screen for a while and looked and seems not to reduce intensity, but I'm a little worried that it's just top-down influence and I just wanted to believe that I solved the problem...)

    Here's what I did (on my Toshiba);
    Control Panel > display > adjust the resolution
    Click on 'Advanced settings' (a small blue link in the drop-down "Orientation").
    Click on tab "Intel (R) Graphics and Media Control Panel"
    Graphics properties
    Power > power features
    Click the menu drop-down and select 'on battery '. Under this drop-down menu, there is a checkbox next to "Display Power Saving Technology" that only appears when "on battery" is selected. On my computer, the box has been checked. I've disabled, and who seems to have stopped the display to change the brightness according to the color of the window.
    I hope this works for some other people (and indeed works for me) - this seems to be a very rare but incredibly annoying problem for those of us who got it.
  • No transparency background in the artboard Mode PS 2015.5.0

    Hello

    Since the last update, I found a very strange bug. When you create a new document with transparent background, everything seems to work fine. The document is created with a transparent background. However, if I turn this document into one (or more) artboard (s) the background becomes white. There is no layer in the layers panel. If I place any object in the work plan and the export in PNG transparent, it will show the white background in the exported file.

    I work for several years now with Photoshop and I don't think it's a fault on my end, as it seems to happen only after the update. If I'm missing something please let me know.

    This makes basically useless for me at this stage PS because I work a lot with transparent graphics for the web.

    See you soon,.

    Bryan

    We discuss making it the default transparent when we passed the basic model plan of work. He was well regarded as reasons to make the default white background opened in 2015.5:

    (1) we wanted to preserve the visual experience of existing documents. Imagine that you did you worry about the backgrounds and then opens your document after the upgrade and all your different work plans.

    (2) all of the users who work with transparent backgrounds is small compared to those who use the default background (white).

    The change of model led us to make a choice when you upgrade to the new version of the document. We chose (1).

    Unfortunately for you, your workflow is defined in (2). Fortunately, it's easy to fix. If you have not discovered it, you can select all your artboards in your document and change them all to transparent at the same time. You don't have to go one by one.

    You make a good point that maybe we could have missed the transparent work plans if the document has a transparent background. Unfortunately, this calculation is not as easy as you might think to do things. It would have taken time away from other work, and it would have introduced a level of unpredictability when opening existing documents (Board graphics settings default to white, except if the current context is transparent, if there is an existing context, etc. etc..).

    It was a judgment call.

  • [JS SUI] How to set the background of the window?

    Hello

    I want to add the background image to Window (SUI) and add another control that on this subject.

    Is this possible?

    I found "window.orientation =" stack"", but I can't change the location of the control.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    var w = new Window ("dialog", "test");
    w.orientation = 'stack';

    var image = File(Folder.desktop + "/test.jpg");
    w.add("image", undefined, image);

    var edit = w.add("edittext", undefined, "");
    edit.characters = 10;

    //edit.bound = [0,0,100,100]; //The size can be changed, but location can not be changed.
    //edit.location = [100,100];
    //edit.preferredSize = [100,100];

    w.show ();

    I think that in your original post, the limits (in the commentary part of the code) has failed because you wrote settings change. destination = [0,0,100,100]; rather than change it. bounds =...

    I find evil at ease to avoid ScriptUI autolayout all, but the following should work to place text in the desired position:

    var w = new Window("dialog", "test");

    // add a group with 2 elements:
    var g = w.add("group");
    var im = g.add("image");
    var et = g.add("edittext");

    im.image = ScriptUI.newImage(File(Folder.desktop.absoluteURI + "/IMAGES/index.png"));

    // set location and size for everything
    g.location = [0,0];
    g.size = im.size = im.image.size;
    im.location = [0,0];

    et.size = [50, 20];
    et.location = [25, 15];

    w.show ();

    Xavier

    Edit: as an alternative to the definition of the limits once and for all, you can redefine the purpose of layout for the Group:

    g.layout ={
        layout : function(){
            im.size = im.image.size;
            im.location = [0,0];
            et.size = [50, 20];
            et.location = [25, 15];

            g.preferredSize = im.image.size;
            },
        };
    g.layout.resize = g.layout.layout;

    .. something like that.

  • Transparent background in the eps file appears opaque when gray open in Illustrator C6

    I have an eps file has been created using GMT (mapping software) that has a transparent background. When I open it with Illustrator C6, I get an opaque gray background instead. If I ignore it and export after having been edited, there remains grey! How can I make transparent? When I have several layers with transparent background, I don't see the underlying layers.

    Order export as tiff or pdf with ps2raster works perfectly well.

    In fact, it should be transparent to make it happen. The EPS format does not support transparency, so there is none. The mapping software that generated the image apparently uses a color "mate" (gray, a bit like a 'transparent'.gif) and/or a clipping to simulate transparency path, as you have seen in those other subsequent conversions.

    If you have Photoshop, you could open it, remove the gray and save it in a format that supports true transparency.

    I am completely new to Adobe so please be patient with my naivety. I buy an adobe stock photo to use on vistaprint. How will I know if the background is transparent or white? I bought a couple and they all have a white background colorful.

    None of the funds will be transparent. You will need to remove them with Photoshop or Illustrator according to the type of image.

  • Golden rule for images of transparent background in the printing of magazines?

    Hi all

    I'm designing a single page to print in a magazine, and I would include a background image that will go behind black text in a two-column format. I know that things don't always look the same printed on copy paper laser, so I was wondering if there was a general rule what % set the transparency to a background image of high resolution for printing glossy magazine more. Currently, I put 15% and it looks pretty good on my laser printer paper, but I would be sure. Oh, and I use Adobe InDesign cs4.

    Thank you!

    10%, 15%, 20% is generally good.

    I wouldn't never more than 20%.

    I prefer using a semi-transparent PNG image.

    I'm trying to create and animate the text via AE CS5 for a web site. Then, I want to use it in Photoshop CS5. I can't find this option. I know that in the past, you were supposed to make the text in the form of film of all kinds, but now I'm just lost and confused on what to do.

    If the answer is just too long to post here, could someone please post a link to a tutorial/response?

    I guess that the answer will be a little different from versions CS4 CS5.

    Thank you.

    Go to any format Quicktime or a sequence image that supports Alpha channels, and then import this file in PS as a video layer or use frames in the layer Import Wizard.

    Hello! Don't know how to do this in the Vision Assistant. Try to use the overlay (bitmap) or convert your image into mask. Effect of transparency not supported in the Vision. What you can do in LabVIEW is something like this:
