  Latest version of Oracle Applications: 11.5.10.2

  We are in 11i and 11i pertaining to the close period limits is as below:

  All business units that share a set of books also share the same period status. When we update the State time to open in an operating unit, this period is open for all units operating within the whole books. When attempting to update the State closed in an operating unit, the system checks the uncommitted transactions in all units operating within all of the books. If there are uncommitted transactions in one of the operating units, you are asked to solve for these before operating units uncommitted transactions can close the period for all the books.

  At the above limitation is here in R12, if yes could you please explain in detail.

  This restriction exists as well in R12. Periods gl are always defined by all of the books, so, if you open (or close) the period within an organization that uses all of the books, it is opened (or closed) in all agencies as well.

  I wrote a quick formula. This quick form is attached to the element of "basic salary".
  "Base salary" item has retro setting and proration.
  We use retro processes strengthened.
  Improved retro process calls this quick formula to verify the amount of the difference.
  Similarly, oracle payroll will also call the same formula fast when running on the payroll.
  
  Now, our requirement is:

  A few lines in fast formula should not run when FF is called by retro, but it must be run when it is called by the payroll.
  So, how could we know if FF is called process retro or payroll?
  If I have a way to find this, I can run that code using this condition.
  Any pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated.

  None of the above... Just write a function custom PLSQL who will be ID action of payroll as a context parameter & returns the table PAY_PAYROLL_ACTIONS... action_type column to the fast formula. L is for Retro throw.

  In the quick formula, place the specific code in the if condition.

  ATTENTION: Make the formula calculate differently in normal payroll & retro you can cause serious problems of consistency in payments/deductions and their debugging might become impossible in the long term.

  R12 project is integrated with R12 Financials. It will not work with Financials 11i.

  If you're still on financials 11i, I suggest that you upgrade to the latest 11.5.10.2 with projects FP - M, wrap 4.
  From the functional point of view, you get more features with this release. Upgrade R12 projects won't add many new features.

  Can anyone help me how to differentiate between tax between AP and AR module? When I went through details of the taxes in the Bill on tax LOV (AP) workbench or tax classification LOV in form of distribution in the workbench (AR) of the transaction, all taxes are mixed together in the two LOV. I had found the similar thread in this forum, follow the instructions, but I am always faced with the question. This is the step I did:
  
  -create the third tax profile (legal person of first part; and control unit with the basic tax content)
  -Set the tax system
  -Set the tax (owner of global configuration; for all of the taxes)
  -Set the tax status
  -Set the tax jurisdiction
  -Define the clawback rate
  -Set the tax rate
  -Define the rules (I tried to put in the type of rule applicability tax determined with even claims of class and to pay for each tax; still not training)
  -to provide the tax
  -create default and owner configuration options control taxes and options of application fees
  
  Please let me know if any step is missing.

  Tax Classification Code LOV (list of values) shows all the tax rates that are created in EBTax. You must choose your code of tax rates to the list of the fiscal classification code values in the accounts payable or receivable. How the difference rate Code tax for transactions in accounts payable and accounts receivable in the tax Classification Code LOV?

  Please note that in R12, there is a centralized tax engine. Tax implemented in EBTax will be and can be applied to both accounts payable and accounts receivable.   This happens because your original IE window is used to display the second web site, which eliminates the first.

  To have two web sites open, you need two IE Windows so that you can switch between them. Indeed, you open the second website in a new IE window.   Dear people of Sony, is possible to add a feature to export / trasncoding files between In and Out marks only as in catalyst go? Was surprised not to find, very handy when there is a large file that has two or more WB settings required, to export part of the file with the parameters a, marking the section with inside and outside and then adjusting those yet to export the or other parts of the shooting with an another WB settings?

  I know there is a feature to copy sections of the files ' between inside and outside "only but it would have been more convenient to have it as in catalyst browse my humble OPINION."

  Or is there a simpler workflow that I'm missing out on?

  Thanks for the question.

  I think the function of catalyst to prepare that can solve your problem is a subset of creation. What you can do is put an In/Out point with a WB setting, and then click Log. Create a subclip (see screenshot). This will create a subelement with the color settings.

• Portege 4000 conflict between WiFi and Bluetooth on Windows 2000

  I recently replaced XP with Win2000 on my Toshiba Portege 4000. I also downloaded the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, using pref to Win2000 and Portege 4000.

  When you start the Bluetooth Stack V4.00.30 he wiped out the wireless LAN feature. I know that it is not possible to use Bluetooth and wireless at the same time.

  However, it is a permanent disability. During the uninstallation of the Bluetooth stack V4.00.30, wireless comes back to life.
  Is there someone who has a fix to this problem?

  You can work around this limitation by putting your orders and clusters indicators. Then set the cluster to be required or recommended to indicate whether contained controls are entered or parameters, just normal.
