Is it possible to do a repair install on an OEM system to solve problems of SFC. Can if so someone help?

When I do a SFC his only to 96% and say there are files that cannot be fixed, I checked the CBS but it seems that the same files are in for repair twice with success. I don't want to do a clean install, because it means losing 16 months of updates, drivers, patches and programs. I want to do a repair install or replace the files manually, but it seems Microsoft can't account for repair OEM systems it installs I see. Is there anyway to fix this system without a clean install? Windows 7 64-bit with service pack 1 installed.

Some OEM recovery disks can be used to repair, depends on this PC manufacturer.

If it is possible and your OEM drive is pre sp1 then it will be restored to pre - sp1, if the repair can be treated with

  • possible future needs of the installed cartridges

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8100 printer and I just replaced my cartridges installation.  Is it possible that I need these ever again?  In other words, are there any circumstances in which the printer may need to 'reset' that require the presence of the cartridges installation?

    Thank you

    PROVIDE

    Hey provide,.

If you have configured the printer before with success, then you will not have these cartridges Setup again for the printer HP Officejet Pro 8100.  These can be eliminated in a respectful way (instead of an ink cartridge recycling).

The only time that these may be necessary once again, this is if the printhead needs to be replaced in the x 8100. According to the HP paper for cartridges SETUP:

    • When you install a new print head, you must install the cartridges supplied with the print head CONFIGURATION.

    I hope this helps.

I heard of what is called a Vista repair install.  I have Vista Home Premium on my computer.  I have the disc from a friend who said that Vista SP1.
    * Do a repair with these elements installation?
    * After the installation of repair, I have will always be a legal copy of Vista on my computer?
    * How to repair and installation than that accomplished?

As long as it's a DVD of Microsoft Vista, NOT a Dell, HP, etc. recovery disk, you can use it for a repair installation.
    It will be legal.
    Read the theTutorial below.
It reinstallls the files on your system, while keeping your data (it's a repair installation!): but you should ALWAYS backup your DATA

Read this tutorial on how to do a repair installation:

Make sure that Service Pack levels are OK when you do it.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have install.

If the installed OS has the disk with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > install repair Upgrade > reinstall SP2.

And run the upgrade of a Vista operating system.

    Hello

If the DVD you have is Microsoft Vista DVD (retail or OEM System Builders DVD sales) that you have bought yourself that shouldn't be the problem with a repair installation, because they contain the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Information from Microsoft about this update error code points to the problems related to the Internet.

This is where you got the Fix - It of?

    "Windows Update 80244016, 8024402f, or c80003fa error".

Another thing that you do not tell us is why you did a repair install, as this can have an impact on your current problem.

    See you soon.

Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 OEM System Builder License on the new hard drive with the new processor.

It will not be a problem in this case, since you don't "move" installation, you are doing a new installation. The less it will take is activation of the phone, as you change the hard drive:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Is it possible to install the new operating system on a separate external drive?

Currently running XP 32 Bit C: and do not want to lose all that, so I was wondering if it is possible to load 7 64 bit on a different drive (not C :) and select from F2 at startup - any advice much appreciated.)

Cannot install Windows 7 on an external hard drive. You can create a partition in Windows XP, and then install Windows 7 on it.

the first thing you need to do is download Easeus at the following link

EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition - http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Manager-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html

    ------------------------

Proceed with the installation of Easeus:

Click Next, follow the easy on-screen instructions.

Once the installation is finished, click on finish

Click go to the main screen

Select the drive you want to resize in partition window

Drag the button until you have an amount of disk space to install Windows 7 you want, and then release.

Click on apply to apply the changes that you just made.

    Click Yes

    Click Yes

Your computer will restart several times and changes will be made to the layout of the partition, this process is hands-free, so no interaction is required.

    ------------------

    Installation of Windows 7.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next. (remember, it is the partition that you created previously in Windows XP.

You should check with the person who arranged the subscription to see what are the conditions for individual users.  Normally, an individual subscription license allows to have two machines with working facilities.  I don't know if the same applies to a subscription of volume / business.

  • Not possible to deactivate CS4 - after installing CS5.5

    Hello

Today I installed my new CS5.5 update on my Mac and now I wanted to disable and uninstall my old Suite CS4 - but it won't work.

And Yes, I've already checked my firewall - off - but no luck.

I tried to disable it in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash - same problem.

Can I now uninstall CS4 from my Mac without disabling?

Any idea what the problem might be?

    Thank you for any suspicion

If you follow the instructions to disable the software but is not working for some reason, then you should just contact support Adobe - they really are the only ones who can help and can manually disable the database on their end.
