  Nothing in particular that Data Miner requires 10g. The main task is one of the displacement of the db to another machine.

  You would have to stop services so no activity is written while you copy the files of database.  Once copied, create new ODBC connections and point to the newly copied database and use VI client to connect directly to the host, and then point to the license server's FULL domain name.  Restart all services of vCenter and make sure that the express SQL instance is running as well.

  I can't reproduce this. The layer as you try to duplicate a smart object and there a displacement map? Looks like you might need to reset your preferences.
