Is it possible to manage my contacts in the computer to blackBerry smartphones?

Hi, I was wondering is it possible that I can manage my contacts from my computer? When I bought this phone, BB Storm and performed a sync with my computer, I had a lot of questions which have fortunately been resolved through this forum (thanks guys). I got all my contacts that I thought I had lost, but now my contacts appear in my BB as individual registrations. Let me explain: Mia's mobile phone number on one... Mia's personal phone number on another contact... all his information are separated by the singles... I hope that I was clear English is my second language... Is there a way I can manage my list of contacts in the computer, because my BB, I could lose my mind trying many fixes to type... I have 600 contacts...

PS: On the "option screen and keyboard, touchscreen options... What is the ideal choice"interval type"...» 100, 200, 300... What is 'Hover period'... excuse my ignorance... AND "Swipe Sensitivity", what is the ideal number to use...? SO many questions? SIP...

1. I would recommend that you synchronize your data of contact BlackBerry to your computer using Desktop Manager to synchronize with Outlook or Outlook Express. From there, you can edit, merge and massage your records and then synchronize to the device.

Download Desktop Manager here:

2. try these settings on your Storm.

Increase the interval of 500 valve.
Increase the hover at 1000.
Increase the sensitivity by scanning at high (6).
Fast rate.

  • Lost Outlook Contacts on the computer - BB blackBerry smartphones can synchronize all back?

For reasons of computer problems, Dell had to take back me to factory settings - Ugh. When they backed up all my data they accidentally left to all my Contacts in Outlook. So, I lost all of them. Question... my BB Curve 8310 will put them all back in Outlook when I sync? I'm afraid to try it without asking. At least I have all my Contacts on my BB.

Of course, when you synchronize they update the other... but a list of Contact TOGETHER? More than 300 of them?

Thanks a lot to anyone who has any idea!

Yes, it will be. By default your synchronization parameter must be set to "bilateral" and handheld should update the PC Outlook file.

AS a measure of PRECAUTION, first of all, by using Desktop Manager, making a full backup of your BlackBerry (should you accidentally set your PC to "win" in any conflict", it"might"delete your contacts in Pocket). The backup will be a rescue rope.

You can check the C: > synchronization settings, I would recommend that you set to "notify me" of the any conflicts.

  • Is it possible to create a contact with the API block filter?

I use the API block to export contacts and would like to create a filter by using the API.

    Is this possible?

If so, is there an example?

I use a POST at .../contact/filter and get an error HTTPNotFound.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Frank

    Of course

You send a http request using the POST method when creating the export. In the message body, you include a JSON encoded string. Here is my code PHP to create the appropriate table:

    $a_requestbody = array)

    "filter" => $a_filter.

    'name'-online 'export'.date ('Ymdhis'),

    "secondsToRetainData"-online '3600',

    "fields"-online $a_fieldmapping

    );

The $a_filter variable is an array, which is set up like this:

    $a_filter = array)

    "FilterEnsemble"-online "valueEqualsComparisonValue."

    -Online $a_fieldmapping ['C_EmailAddress'], 'value',

    'comparisonvalue' => ' [email protected]'

    );

I assume that you know how to configure the mapping of the fields, so I did not include here.

Other types of filters are available here: http://secure.eloqua.com/api/docs/Static/bulk/1.0/doc.htm#FilterRuleType

    Hope this helps,

  • How to open files from the list of contacts on the computer at home, the vcf files

I exported my contacts list on my computer, it is a .vcf file.  I can open it by clicking on it, but only the first contact is displayed.  This screen looks like a file roledex.  but I don't know how to access other files.  I can open the file with "word" and "excel" vcf and all the data is there, but the result is not reader friendly.

There is an additional program which allows opening these contacts in a friendly dispay?

    Thank you.

I believe you can do it through Windows live mail.  Alternatively, you can import it into your google account in a web browser.  The advantage to using Gmail, it's that once you make changes you can have them automatically sync them to your phone if you have Gmail on your Droid.

  • Connection Manager for the Office of blackBerry Smartphones

I hope someone can help me with my Desktop Manager. I can't it connect with my BB "BOLD".

I downloaded the Desktop Manager 4.7 version (I already got 4.6, but could not get it to recognize the BB) and I downloaded the USB driver software.

When I connect the BB to the USB I know it connects because Adobe will light up and the photos appear.

But I can't connect the device in the lower left corner of the Desktop Manager away from the connection of the device (PIN) NONE. Frustrating, it's only once or twice during the 3 months, it is connected, but most of the time does not and will not at all now.

I also tried Bluetooth. The BB and the pc recognize each other but still no connection to the Desktop Manager.

    I use MS XP

    Thank you

Binge, it worked for me as well.

  • The names of blackBerry Smartphones Contact not displayed when calling

    Hello

New in BB, moved my SIM Nokia in the 8900.

I have problems with names not displaying not when they call the number is entered differently (depending on whether I'm foreign or in Thailand). Some numbers are saved under the international numbers (+ 66829...) to other entries like (0869...).

The number is certainly in my BB as + 668612345678, but if they call when I'm in Thailand the number will appear as 0861234567. To get around it, I'll have to get into contact and add an additional number for each contact has + 668612345678 and 0861234567.

Is anyway to work around this problem?

It all depends on how you have your game of smart dial.

It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  • Contact information for installation of blackBerry Smartphones.

I recently purchased the Blackberry Torch; the numbers were transferred over my old Blackberry Pearl phone.

One of my many Contacts had NO code appearing in front of the 7 - digit telephone number.  I tried to text him and of course, she came back with the error message.  I went and edited the number to include the area code (made a 10-digit number) - and I still get the same error message.

I deleted this contact 3 times and entered its data with different names - but the same phone with all the 10 listed numbers - and I still get an error code when I text.  I just listed the number under the 'work' instead of 'mobile' - always impossible to send text.

I called him - no problem; He can call me - no problem; He can text me - no problem; I just can't text or make a text.

What is going on?  Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Smartphones Dang sure too!

OK, sounds similar to something that happened to me last week, I tried to call a number instead.

Look at your call history, by accessing your Messages folder > press Menu > folders > phone call logs and you will need find and remove all previous attempts to call this number.

Also, in the same place, watch sending SMS and delete all previous attempts of SMS.

Your device "to remember" and use these previous calls to that number as a story of several parameters and if you remove all the people, I would then do a full restart on the device, in this case > with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, after, you have removed all instances of old of the call/SMS and restarted, try again.

    Hi Adaptive Pixels,

The "opm.db" file is somehow corrupted and your system and is not able to register correctly. Can you try to delete this file and ensure that you have read and write permissions on the folder containing?

Please delete the "opm.db" file found in:

    on Mac: / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE

If you are not familiar with how to navigate to folders/files hidden on your computer:

on Mac: use the "Go to folder" item in the "Go" in the Finder menu and enter "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE" (without the quotes). Delete the file opm.db.
