  You can simply send a task of Agent parameters to specify the new default gateway on the desired devices.

  I notice that in a folder with a large number of photos, there seems to be a limit to how much stored thumnails. If I quickly scroll the I get to a point where I have to slow down and wait for the thumnails to regenerate. I wish I could store all thums so I can go to any point in the subdirectory and see them with no delay (the whole point of a cache). I have 4 GB of RAM so I don't care if it uses a fair bit to do this. Y at - it a key option or the configuration of the registry to set the maximum size? I have Vista Home Premium x 64.

  Except there is no way to increase the size for the thumbnail cache.  You are able to clear the cache and I saw on third party internet providers that offer this possibility.  But the operating system is not an option to increase.

  Why have removed the ability to manually sort the files and folders? Having the ability to rearrange the files and folders is common sense and the need in some of my work. This removed feature cost me an hour or two of extra work that week you can reorganize all links/shortcuts in any order they wish, but to actually move files and folders around is more can be made. I would never have bought Windows 7 if I knew took it this feature away from me.

• How to manually set the end point of my sequence in the window of the exporter? (Newbie question)

  Hey guys, I think it was easy to do in older versions of first, but I'm not sure.  In the export window, I want to put the final point of the media that I export manually.  All I can use is the small triangle on the right, but that gives me no details.  Curiously, I can manually enter the starting point in time code, but not the end point (it is unclickable).

  In the export settings dialog box, drag the playhead to the intended to point, and then press 'o'.

• Setup Airport Express: how to manually set the IP address and DNS?

  I just bought an Airport Express for the wifi in the ethernet cable that I have in my dorm room.

  To connect to the internet via the ethernet cable, I need to enter a number IP, DNS, gateway and mask provided by the dorm (as I did on my Macbook).

  The problem is that I don't see where I can do for the Airport Express. After I plugged the cable into it, it keeps wanting to configuration alone, which does not work (he's trying to "join the network" forever, without success).

  How can I configure IP, DNS etc. manually?

• Is it possible to manually clean the memory other than a reboot?

  I find that my memory gets cluttered with a bunch of junk, even if I close all the applications and the only way to get it cleared up is to restart the system.  It seems that there should be a way to clean the memory without having to reboot.

  If you are referring to the memory (as opposed to disk space) then it is normal for OS X to use all of it. Memory that is not used is wasted. It is designed to be used in this way to optimize performance.

  is there a way to choose which images get imported when importing images from my Canon t2i to my laptop? most of the photos on my camera have been imported already and filled my hard drive, so I transferred to a portable hard drive to expand the memory and allow for me to continue to load/save my photos. I want to download only the pictures at the end of my memory chip, essentially without having to wait a long time for the other 300 + pictures to import the big file for each and the jpg version, accompanying all over again because they are mostly high-quality... (I keep the actual chips with pictures on them as a backup (have not printed on most of the photos I had even for albums, etc. so I don't want to lose anything by deleting after you import each time, because they are all the memories with my husband and 2 children..))

  Something to try...

  Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and turn
  on the camera... If open windows... Close them.

  According to... to... Start / my computer... the camera can be
  listed as a drive letter...

  If_yes_right click on the drive letter and select... Explorer or
  Open... This should display the directory of the memory card.
  You can copy and paste or drag and drop the files from there to a
  folder on your hard drive.

  (The same steps work if you have a media player...
  When you go to... Start / desktop media slots...
  Drive should be listed under... "Removable disk" with a drive
  letter.)

• Unable to set the paper size at all when using Firefox built-in PDF Viewer

  I use the built-in Firefox pdf viewer and it's fab.

  But if I try to print, I go to the preview before print and go through the layout and it is useless, because it assumes that my book is almost SQUARE, and the only options I have are portrait and landscape. I use A4 paper, like most of the British and European.

  Of course, I can't work around the preview before printing or that it ends up in the wrong settings by default.

  Adjust (default), it is only based on the width (if I set the margins to zero - it's okay), but lacks the lower half of the page because Firefox think my paper is the PLACE for a reason any.

  The only thing that works is to set the zoom to print at 60% and have tiny everthing, which is ridiculous.

  Any ideas? Is it possible to manually set the width and height of the paper?

  Thanks if anyone can help with this - my alternative is to use the Toshiba reader of PDF files, and it prints terribly to be unreadable. The print quality on Firefox is fine, if I could get to fit on paper...

  Hmm, in your screenshots, why mention the title bar of the window Yahoo mail? Is it an attachment that is somehow embedded in the message? If so, can you find a way to see it in its own tab? Sometimes with the right button > setting > Open Frame in a new tab will do, but I did not open Yahoo Mail to experiment.

  I was diagnosing a problem that surfaced after initially migrating my library, iPhoto photo some time ago.  It seems that a large number of photos in the iPhoto library had wrong file paths.  The pictures themselves were there, but iPhoto had an error in the paths of files.  (This happened probably years of updates, transfers to different machines, etc.  It is a very old and very large library).

  I used a third-party tool 3 to begin to correct the problem in the iPhoto library, and so far, that seems to be promising.  This approach however, kill my library of Photos and re-import to iPhoto.  Which seems a bit risky for me, maybe lose pictures added since the migration (which is not bad), since I'm not really sure how interaction with iCloud will manage this attempt.

  But it presents to me unless I am able to inspect and change some of the data that the readers of the library of Photos directly, so maybe I can apply a fix directly without having to re - migrate.  It seems that after the XML files for libraries, but there may be another approach, that I could use to directly modify the photo library?  All I really need to do is change some paths that point to pictures.

  Here's a post by user Pascal MaH describing how he managed to modify an iPhoto database.  Maybe you can use the technique to alter a database of Photos.  As usual, don't forget to have a backup current library before you try:

  YES!

  I finally managed to get my iPhoto library!

  But it has not been easy. I had to hack into the database file that you want to put in place good things.

  After much trial and error, here is the procedure I came to, that finally worked for me (use at your own risk):

  0 make sure you do enough safeguards so as to revert to the previous state if something goes wrong!

  1 make a copy of your photo library in iPhoto [Show Package Contents]/Database/apdb/Library.apdb on your desktop.

  This file contains most of the necessary data for the management of your data in iPhoto.

  2. open this file using a SQLite database manager.

  I've used Navicat 9.1, which has features nice import-export. For direct editing, basic 2.0 is may be easier.

  3. open the RKMaster table.

  This table contains all the records for the individual photos in your library.

  4 fix the path of each of your photo files in the imagePath for their course filepath column.

  It contains the path of your photo files at the time they were imported and is not updated by iPhoto, even if you have moved your files photo somewhere else.

  If you have thousands of ways to correct, a good idea is to export this column in a text (including column modelId for SEO) file and to correct the paths using the substring function search & replace in your favorite text editor. Do not forget to re - import data properly corrected using column modelId as references.

  5. If necessary, correct, in the same way, the content of the column fileVolumeUuid to the value of the drive that currently contains your picfiles.

  If so, get this value given a PIC that was recently imported from this player.

  6. If your drive name has changed, also to correct its name in the name column of the RKVolume table.

  Identify the appropriate record taking into account its uuid obtained previously.

  7. If you are satisfied with your work, leave the database, program management and restore Library.apdb to its original inside your iPhoto library location.

  Keep the old somewhere in case something goes wrong.

  8 run iPhoto to see if your work is successful!

  At this point, you might consider the construction of the library (hold down alt - cmd at the launch of iPhoto) and choose repair the iPhoto library database (make sure to let him rebuild the AutoSave iPhoto library database disabled!). This could correct some possible unconsistencies resulting from your changes. Also, a good thing would be to rebuild all thumbnails. If iPhoto don't you do not bug to locate files during this process, you may have done your work right! If this is not the case, go back to step 1.

  As said, it worked for me, without visible inconsistencies or side effects to be noticed in the behaviour of iPhoto (at least for now). But perhaps some knowledgable people could comment on and improve this process, and a database script guru can also help automate this. Please comment.

  Lessons learned (how I understand things as far as I know):

  A. Library.apdb stores the original drive and the path to the picture at the time files wherever they were imported. It is not changed because the files are moved.

  B. some other data (BLOB Binary?) are used to track the files to their actual location. Therefore, it seems OK to move photo files once they have been imported.

  C. Unfortunately, these other data are broken, if the file is re-created (even with the same content and location), for example with one based on files backup and restore (Time Machine).

  (D) in this case, iPhoto is unable to repair the file if its drive and path does not match the one when the file is imported, stored in the database. Also, there is no mechanism in iPhoto to correct these data.

  (E) therefore, it is very important to import photo files in iPhoto only when they are already in their final location! Otherwise, your iPhoto library won't survive a Time Machine backup and restore! (A disk block-based backup might work... I don't know).

  F. ... And Apple should really, really solve this problem! (Correcting the filepath to the current location of the file and stored at least when the database is repaired, and by offering at least some basic file options reconnection).

  I have not tried so I can't confirm or deny its effectiveness.

• Set the size of fixed table

I am developing a VI to a FPGA target and I'm trying to make sure who is using the VI can specify the size of an array of input when they instantiate (such as by the presence of an entry to the VI who said "maximum table size" or something). So far, it seems that the only way to do something like this is to go into the VI himself and manually set the size of table for each entry in the table for the VI (open the VI, do a right-click on each input array, select 'Set the size Dimension', choose 'fixed', set number of items). I would like to have a point where I can set the size of all tables at once (as in my case, they are all the same size) and let the person using the VI set it to the right size for which application they use it for (to be clear, let's say I have two uses for this VI and in one case (, I have a table of entry of size 100 and other use of size 1000, I would like to be able to put these in some way rather than do it through the dialog box). Thank you.

  It's a little more work, but it could be a case of good use for a memory block on the FPGA.  Make it bigger you wait, you need, and then store the actual number of items somewhere.  This will allow you to vary the amount of data without consuming large amounts of FPGA resources on an oversized table.
