  One of the ways of loading CF with use is to use Apache JMeter. Reference:

  Briefly. In Jmeter to Test Plan, add Threads (users) then thread group.
  In the Group of threads add Sampler HTTP Request.
  Inside the Group of threads increases the number of Threads 1 to 30 of say.
  Change the HTTP request to include the server name or IP of FC
  Port 80 or 8500 for example function built in CF webserver or IIS / Apache.
  Path to the CFM file your going to use it.

  Press the Stop Go.

• Fusion 5 in Mavericks using only 1 core processor?

  I've recently updated to the Mavericks (because good, free) and I noticed that my Windows 8 VM is a bit clumsy and slow at the same time. I noticed that this happens when the malware Windows Service is running. This never happened before because I have the virtual machine worth use 2 (of 4) carrots. However, it seems that there is only 1 kernel used because the Task Manager shows only 1 CPU.

  Can anyone confirm my suspicions or has anyone seen other similar behavior?

  I know I should just upgrade to VMWare 6, but I'm waiting for them to offer more reasonable upgrade prices. Tired to pay almost full price just to maintain the Fusion works when we get free updates from Apple. I hope that we will see something on Black Friday.

  I think I solved my problems. I have closed the comments, edited the settings for:

  1 disable 3d acceleration

  2 remove all shared folders.

  One of those who did the trick. I'm guessing it's the latter.

• SOUL using only 1 core

  I recently changed from Premiere Elements to Premiere Pro, so I'm new to the Media Encoder.

  Problem: It is extremely slow, for example making more than 2 hours on a sequence of 14 minutes, not too compex.

  On a Windows 7 (64-bit) PC with an Intel core-i7, 8 cores @ 2.8 GHz, 12 GB of RAM,

  GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 770, latest drivers, Cuda enabled in Premiere Pro + TEA.

  1080p@30fps, 2-pass VBR, H.264, 15 to 25 Mbps

  So now, I have detected, that the SOUL is just with 1 bit on 8, others almost inactive.

  Premiere Pro is closed, no other big programms running who could 'gather' processor cores.

  But when I directly in Premiere Pro (do not use the queue feature), encoding is WAY faster--about 45 minutes for the same project.

  Because Premiere Pro use all 8 cores and the GPU.

  As I could not find the settings in the SOUL on the parameters of the stress system or something, I now wonder what the problem is.

  I want to use the functionality of queue of the SOUL, but the speed is also very important.

  Anyone who can help?

  We look at this issue now.  To work around this problem, please try running SOUL body before.  For now, please use this workaround that worked for many users.

  Story: I am about to buy a new laptop that has a core i5 or i7 with two hearts and I think only 4 wires. Now I wonder if I can run two virtual machines at the same time, and how the settings are to do, if I want to allocate:

  (a) the base (or two threads) to a virtual computer

  (b) a wire to a virtual computer

  (c) a single thread to the host...

  is is possible or do I have TO allocate two virtual machines for the same kernel?

  When you create a virtual guest machine, you can choose how many virtual processors (vCPU) there.  If you choose to give it 2 or more vCPUs then the options you listed above control how VMware presents these vCPUs to the guest operating system.

  For example, if you choose to give a comment 2 vCPU, then you can either have VMware to present the guest with 2 core processors (virtual) or a single processor dual-core (virtual).  Things performance will be the same, but this option exists because some software are allowed on a base by processor (instead of a per-core) so there may be an advantage permitted to configure your comments in a special way.

  The settings above have no effect on how VMware plans to run on your host CPU processes.  By default, VMware will use all the cores available host regardless of how you configure the options above when creating your guests.

  Now, with all this talk about several vCPU invited road, I should mention that my experience you will have the best performance if you set up your guests with a unique vCPU.   In a virtualized environment, multiple vCPU / customer does not necessarily in the best performance.  I strongly suggest you create your guests with 1 vCPU and only increase their number of vCPU if tests show that the performance is increased.

  You will certainly be able to run several clients at once on your host computer.  If you persevere with 1 vCPU invited, you will almost certainly run in performance RAM problems or disk well until you encounter problems CPU host.

  best practice is to always start with 1vCPU and work your way to the top.  You can usually find 1vCPU will be enough.  From there, you would go to to 2vCPU.  I don't think that 4 is a good idea.

  You have to do all of this, however. Leaving the number of processors box unchecked should allow Windows to use all available resources.

  How determine you that you are using only 2 hearts? Did you use HWINFO64? That should show you all the carrots that are currently running.

• Vista Business 64-Bit with AutoCAD 2009 does not seem to use all 8 GB of RAM available.

  A workstation newly built (S5000XVN Intel / Xeon / 8 GB RAM / 2 GB RAM video) with Windows Vista Business 64-bit is used with AutoCAD 2009 (64-bit).  The workstation hangs under stress, apparently because not enough RAM is available.  ("Stress" is "Turning entirely made of a certain complexity 3D drawings")

  The Task Manager / Performance tab indicates never to use RAM above about 3.25 GB, even if ten or more concurrent applications are loaded, including IE 8 (6 graphically heavy windows) and AutoCAD with 6 or more complex drawings open at the same time.

  There are two issues, I think:
  1. in the event that a busy workstation indicate use RAM above the 32-old bit of 3.2 GB limit?
  2 are there MS Windows Vista settings that are necessary to ensure the use of RAM available?

  I studied the installation of AutoCAD 2009.  It's actually the 64-bit version that is installed, and the Task Manager reports it as a 64-bit application when it runs.  (In other words, it is not marked as a 32 bit application.)

  I must admit that I no longer believe that the machine is running out of resources or do not use all the resources available to it.  We tested the machine by throwing 18 complex, fully rendering the 3D drawings within the Academy, in addition to two cases of IE 8, three instances of Explorer Windows and MS Windows Mail.  Use of the RAM did climb, reaching finally the 4.06 GB, clearly indicating that the 32-bit 3.2 GB limit has been exceeded.  It seems that just drawings don't take up that much RAM.  BTW, there was no increase in the paging activity that I could see.

  However, the application does not seem to be frozen or looping when the client attempted to turn one of the drawings.  The CPU on the two wires (Xeon processor) usage increased to 55% and remained there. the State of the process, as reported by the task manager went to "Not responding" and stayed there; and the display of the image froze on an empty workspace, with a three seconds flash drawing on every 20 seconds.

  So: It now seems that there is a problem with AutoCAD, not a Vista problem.  I would appreciate comments, however, if you think that this analysis is wrong, incomplete or based on wrong assumptions.

  PS: Crackberry App World made a PIN exchange a simple question - simply plug your new PIN and you can easily recover your purchased applications. RIM's App World support really dropped the ball on this one - there are a lot of tricks of BB exchanged and this App World problem really needs to be rectified. There were already several messages on this forum about it, and the owners are not able to submit their complaint to the BB technical support because the link would not accept their new PIN! Shame on you RIM.

• ESXI 4.1, 348481 Question about data store, not be able to use all the free space?

  I am working on installing ESXi 4.1 on a Dell R710 with 3.7 to with SATA, RAID 5 disks. My problem is when I'm going to create my store of data it shows I have 3.7 TB of free space. I told him to use all but the data store comes out 1.63 TB. I deleted that and made a 1 TB data store, but when I went to create a new one he would not give me the ability to use the remaining free space. I'm really green when it comes to the implementation of VMWARE for any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello.

  The maximum size for a single volume must be 2 TB - 512 bytes, as described in KB 3371739.  Use the RAID Dell utilities to carve up the storage volumes of that size or smaller.

  I should not get too hung up the full Table Scan necessarily - Oracle makes a decision, and even with your new index, he still thinks it is the most effective way to recover the data.

  Firefox does not treat each tab in a separate process. If this can be a function in the future, I don't know of any plans to introduce any time soon. Obviously, buying a quad core processor will be significantly faster than a dual core, and your browser is usually less consume a lot of resources than other programs. I would not use it as your buying decision. Firefox will work just as well on a dual-core or a quad-core, but windows and other programs will work better with 4 cores.
