  Do you mean the name of a Windows of a remote computer logon account? There is more than one because Windows 7 allows multiple concurrent interactive sessions. In any case, this could point you in the right direction:

  PsExec \\NameOfPC cmd.exe / user: YourUserName
  PsLoggedOn
  The first command will not work unless you have an account admin on the remote machine.

  completely new to first. I went through the Lynda.com training videos, so I have an idea of what I'm doing, but I don't know where I can find the specific length of a clip selected in the timeline. In this case, I have two clips (a title with dips to black on both ends) and then the same thing with different title and I need match their length.

  I know how to set the length of the dips; I suppose I could just put in some length makes it fit in the middle of a title and then use it to set the length of the second title, but that seems heavy.

  I can get the length of the CLIPS pretty easily as double-clicking them top made appear in the source window, but it does not work for titles (at least for me).

  CTRL + double click on titles on your timeline to bring them back in the source monitor. Double click on a regular basis brings them in the default Titler.

  If you want to know the length of any clip on the timeline you can select, and then display the "Info" Panel which is in the Group of lower left corner of panel mounting set default workspace. You can also open the Info Panel by selecting window > info.

  You can also put your cursor over the clip on the timeline and wait a moment, the information area will pop up and you talk about the duration of the clip.

  I am currently a large amount of data points, recording 1 out of every 1000 points to a spreadsheet and save the last 1000 points to record in a spreadsheet when the program is finished.  I wish I could know the overall variance of all the points (points of data about 36000000, which I'll save only 36000), but I will save all the data points.  Is there a way to close the gap (all points, not just the ones I save)?

  I know I can find the exact average by totalling the continuously and then dividing by the number of points taken.  I also know that if the average remains constant, I can start with a gap, find the sum of squared residuals and add new residual for each data point.  The problem is that the average is changing, so whenever a new data point is added, the residue of all previous points are also changed.

  I'm sorry if this is more a problem of math than a coding problem, but I thought it might be a way of approaching in LabVIEW.

  However, you pouvez use the standard_deviation_ptbypt to get the overall value without a lot of memory in defining the length of the sample to zeroeffect.

  Of course, my example can be simplified futher as it is attached. (The previous version was a verbatim report of the article). Modify if needed. I also added the ptbypt version. You can look at the code of the ptbypt version, it's quite similar (see the case of "infinite horizon"). Personally, I prefer to use a size = 3 table instead of several scalar shift registers.

  Try to use the Document Info Panel flyout to select objects and make sure that it is set to the selection. With the path selected the top line will give information on this path, including the length in units of document.

  Is there a way to change the duration of a group of clips selected at the same time?  If I have a large group of items my editing which are all the same length, once I chose them all in a group, can I change somehow the term chassis number from all the clips at the same time?

  I found other things that can be done to a group of clips at the same time, but I can't find a way to change the duration of a group of selected items.

  This feature did not show up to CS5.  With any version prior to that, you can them one at a time.
