Is there a way to temporarily disable "scale of the contours and the effects?

I want to be able measure some cards without changing the size of the race. But I don't want this preference permanently changed. Y at - it a key to keep down so that when I enlarge the cards the size of stroke remains like that? Thank you...

Julie

Julie,

Just check/uncheck it in the Transform palette dialog box.

You can also do it with flexibility.

If you want to increase by a factor of 5 but only double the weight/effect/that race, you can check strokes & effects of scale and scale upward by a factor of 2, then uncheck the strokes & effects of scale and scale upward by a factor of 2.5 to reach the total factor of 5.
