ISATAP adapter is not working properly code 31

I have a Sony Vaio equipped of Vista Home Premium.  Today, I noticed an asterisk on one of my devices, he said that Microsoft ISATAP Adapter is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31). What is ISATAP, how will this affect my laptop, and what I can do to fix this?  Thank you very much!

The adapter ISATAP does'nt list because it is hidden... always in the Device Manager, in the view menu, select [Show hidden devices], spending after the network cards, you will see then Microsoft ISA... #3

  • WiFi adapter does not work correctly

I want HP 4-1204TX with Windows 8 operating system and I always had the same problem with the connection using my wifi adapter. When I opened the Device Manager to search for the status of the wifi card, it says my "ralink RT3290 802.11bgn"... ". "Microsoft Wi - Fi Direct virtual adapter"... everything has the same error code which is Code 45.

How can I solve this problem?

    Hi @FLFOO ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked in your question on your HP ENVY 4-1204tx Ultrabook and issues with WiFi adapter is not working properly. Error codes in the Device Manager in Windows 8.1 could be fixed by removing any additional drivers. So I want to uninstall everything that is listed in the network drivers in Device Manager, reboot the laptop. Here is a list of the options in the Device Manager, it might help.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that requires an upgrade or reinstall.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite M40-110: WLan is not working properly after sleep mode

Hello, I have a M40-110. I have some problems with my wireless adapter. After I closed the screen (bed) and the computer goes into sleep mode, I open the computer screen becomes active, but this time the wireless adapter is not working properly and I can't connect to Internet with my wireless adapter. Sometimes, it seems that the wireless adapter has established a connection, but I can't send and receive data from the Internet. Sometimes after this case, the wireless adapter becomes invalid.

My Service offered to enable the bios wake-up-on-lan option. After doing this, the Internet worked properly.
But I am wary about this option:

    (1) not allowing this option cause draining my battery quickly?
    (2) this option doesn't make that hides my hardware failure (wireless card) and it is really necessary to solve this problem?

I have the adapter WUSB600N wireless, and I use it with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I use the latest available driver, 3.0.10.0. When Windows first starts, the adapter does not work properly and is unable to connect to any network, regardless of how long wait. Hello

USB devices remove all you can - restart the computer - is still there, the error? If it isn't
It is related to one of the add-in devices that you removed. If she is still there, then, the question is
either a device internal who can not remove or physically with the USB bus itself.
If it was not there, add devices at a time until it is displayed - keep in mind that it is
possible that there are two (or more) devices in conflict over the issue. Once you
identified the check of the aircraft with the help of the manufacturer.

    1. to find the control panel - device - device - right-click on it - uninstall - Manager then
Restart the computer to see if it clears.

    2. same place - double click on the device - driver tab - driver update - to see if that helps.

    3. check with the support of system manufacturer (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems), their
online documentation and drivers, diagnostics and ask questions in their forums on all known
questions. Update the Bios and chipset or other USB drivers.

To install the drivers for this device, clickset to update driver, which starts the Hardware Update Wizard.

    ==================================================================

Those who might be ghosts then right click on them and UNINSTALL - devices and then RESTART.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

If they show upward then try to manually install the drivers.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (update drivers manually using the methods above is preferred
to make sure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

    Jake

    Hey Jake,

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

    (a) restart your computer if you have not already done so. There is always the possibility that the error Code 31 that you see was caused by a temporary problem with Device Manager. If so, a simple reboot can solve the Code 31.

    (b) have you install a device or a change in the Device Manager, just as the Code 31 error appeared? If so, it is very possible that the modification caused the Code 31 error.

    (c) cancel the change if you can restart the computer and then check again the error Code 31. Depending on the changes, some solutions may include:

Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.

Restore a version prior to updating the driver.

Use system restore to undo the Device Manager recent related changes.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

    (d) to remove the registry values filters upper and lower. A common cause of errors in Code 31 is the corruption of two registry values in the class of the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive registry key.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following link. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-the-registry

Method 2: Update the latest graphic drivers.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
