Issue of text and object bounding box

I'm looking for all the help, blogs, etc. and can not find an answer.  Please help if you can.  The yellow bounding box is so hard to see and handle.  Could not find anything in the prefs where I can change the color to something darker.

Thank you

Julie

Open the layers panel and change the color there.

  • Resizing Auto text in a bounding box (and remove the line break)

    I have a lot of certificates of completion of the course I create (using pre-made our graphic charts).  I set up some variables from my diapers and I use a data set to shoot in the person's name, the course title and date of a CSV file.  The text 'Name' encompassing that I created is set to a specific width and height (and must stay that way) with a font size of 94,22 pt; However, some names are REALLY long and are too big for the bounding box.  They dress up.  When I run the "data fusion", I need Photoshop to automatically resize the text in the bounding box so that it is not word wrap.

    For example, "Jane Doe" fits well in the box.  However, "Johnathan Cornelius Doe" is too long, and the word encapsulates.  Instead, I want Photoshop to the long name and simply its size down to fit properly in the lack of word envelope bounding box.

    I have about 200 of them to spend in Photoshop, print and send.  I really don't want to individually open each certificate to verify this last after that I have run through.  I just batch process and print batch.

    Is there a way to do this?  Please note that I have never made any script; so if this is the way it must take, I need to explain carefully and in simple terms.

    Thank you!

    OK, try this. Save the code in a text file with the extension .jsx below. Create an action that runs the script. Then, you can use this action with the batch command.

    #target photoshop
    var doc = activeDocument
    doc.activeLayer = doc.layers.getByName ('LastName')
    var ly = doc.activeLayer
    var before = ly.bounds[2]-ly.bounds[0]

  • When you change the text, all the text in the bounding box is removed...

    I have a PDF file that was created in a different version of Adobe. The Adobe program, I am currently working with that is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It is on a Windows 7 PC. When I change the text in the 'framework', any word, I try to change, all of the text in the box is removed. How can I stop this from happening?

    Nevermind, I figured it. I had select the bounding box and select "bring forward" under the "objects" tool

    I don't know how to get rid of them in a file that you have already opened, but I know why you get them. When you create a new file with a profile "Video and film", you will get the guides of film and television production.

    Try instead to create a new document with a «Basic RGB» profile

  • Web sites have overlapping/overflow of text and objects

    I went through all the FAQS and forums for a good bit and can't seem to find something that works for me.

    I have a problem with most of the Web sites with text in all directions, under the images, or hidden behind other objects. I saw column problems in loading pages.

    My text settings are default, no minimum size, and I leave fonts custom pages. I'm not zoomed in (even that reset it to be sure.)

  • How to choose the same color in the text and objects?

    Hello

    I have a document with about 30000 objects include text, small filled circles and paths between the circles (see small screenshot attached).

    Capture.PNG

    I need to separate into groups based on color in order to later completely redraw. I would like to be able to select all elements with the same color but the problem being that the railways have only line-color, the only circles fill color and text only-color of the text. I can't seem to find the correct command in "identical". Any ideas of how I could do?

    Thank you very much!

    PER DAY

    more precisely what you're asking is done in the following way:
    Since you have only 3 types of select:
    First set up your magic wand by double-clicking on it in the tools Panel and configure it to contours and funds, also you can bump the tolerance up to about 75. now select your text object , and then use select even--> fill color, this should get your filled objects also, then with the magic wand tool, shift click the same traits in the selection of color and you should have all 3.  Now put it in the layer that you want, save the selection, there are other more obscure options.

    However if you just divide it into groups... try this:

    go to your layers panel and make a layer for each color

    use the same for each type.  for example, select same line color for all similar objects outline color, and then drag the color "block" in the layers panel to the appropriate layer.  Repeat for every thing.

    Finally, if you just want to change the colors on the fly, for something so huge, try edit--> edit color--> work Recolor

    Just play with it, you will see only a few colors, double click on the box, the arrow worms with color in it and (with illustrations to redefine colors in the verified corner) you will see change as you select the new color., in

    I am interested in the most direct way, if anyone knows, something which would, in one stroke, select objects containing color wherever it is.

  • Repositioning of the areas of text and objects is very slow...

    I've just updated for CS4, CS5 and dislikes the "live preview (don't know what else to call it)" objects and text boxes that you move with the direct Selection tool. The movement is very unstable and it is difficult to align the guides and the edges of the document. I changed my screen to typical and even tried on fast and still get the same results. I use a new i7 iMac so I can't imagine that it's a hardware problem.

    Is it possible to disable it and make function more like CS4?

    Go to edit > Preferences > Interface and screen Live drawing change it.

  • Why Illustrator CC 2015 removes the text and objects when I export my work to JPEG or TIFF?

    Basically I have never encountered this problem on my Macbook Pro, but I just bought a new iMac and I get this problem. In order to reduce the PDF proofs to the United States and China, I tend to the artboard export to TIFF / JPEG import back into Illustrator CC 2015 and save as PDF. But whenever I have export my work plan and an overview of JPEG or TIFF, Miss me the elements in the document. Even after the expansion of the text in vector objects based objects, they continue to disappear. Can anyone help? Thank you

    You can have white points set to overprint. Select the bullets and in attributes palette remove overprinting.

    Evidence before making a .jpg file to view > overprint preview. In fact, I leave that to all most of the time.

  • the a linked smart object bounding box is larger than the file

    I met an annoying problem, in which the framework encompassing the linked file is bigger than its content while in scaling

    Someone knows how to fix this?

    Screenshot Example < < -.

    It's a work plan, "Plan Working Group...". ", I studied this a little further, it seems that the plans of work and paintings are not 'limit' content in the same way (by limiting the work area). even if you have a work plan, it will include the default spacing between work under the file plans.

    Now, it's a bug or a feature, probably a bug, because the idea was that put a file will place all work plans in it (including spacing), but when you have a work plan you don't need spacing.  My hypothesis is that some developers attached Adobe spacing of the artboard in the wrong point of the chain, causing spacing to be always present, even for a work plan.

  • How to differentiate the outline created texts and objects of the anchor?

    Hi all

    I need to find out the items whitch are created using "vectorize". In edit mode, it shows an anchor. So, how can we identify these objects with the exception of anchor point.

    Try this

    If (ADOC.allPageItems [piCount] .constructor. Name is "Polygon")

  • Scripting: Bounding Box paragraph Style

    I just discussed with the Om de Support technique Adobe.  He informs me that I'm trying to do is possible with scripts, but I'm not qualified to do this at all, so I was hoping that the community here might be able to help me.  What I'm trying to do is this...

    I'm laying on a document that has some paragraphs that need to be surrounded by a box with a 1 p 0 black line. When the paragraph in question is shared between two columns top half of the box must surround the text in the first column and the bottom half of the box outline the text at the top of the next column. In other words, the box should be split as well as the paragraph. When in the middle of a column, the box is intact. I drew the box by hand, but when the text is rearranged for a reason all the boxes must be moved and a lot of 3 lines of half of the boxes must be be redrawn. I'm looking for a way to do the same thing programmatically by creating a style to manage not only the text but the bounding box as well.

    Here is a screenshot of a PDF document finished illustrating both a bounding box in the middle of a column and a separation between the columns.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    An example script (I may be able to modify if necessary) or a finished script would be great!  I am also quite a n00b with InDesign and would need a quick tutorial on how to use the script.

    Thank you!

    Alex D. Karaczun

    $450 is a pretty outrageous sum, considering a simple paragraph of the DTP Utils border hiked up Google search (Utils DTP |) Products | Paragraph border), which is (1) a plug-in (in other words, no script not required; you add the border as a paragraph attribute), and (2) there is only $60.

    Four other means also without script, are Mike Rankin Five Ways to fight a paragraph in InDesign | CreativePro.com (found in http://indesignsecrets.com/week-indesign-articles-number-130.php). At least, you can check if you really need a script.

  • Text boxes and objects move!

    I'm in CS4 on a PC.

    The layer or the area of text/object is locked. I can't copy, paste, or drag the boxes in another document. I can change the text and edit the contents of the graphic boxes. The problem is that they do not move.

    The strange thing is when the file is open on another computer, they move very well. Anyone has an idea on what type of setting should be changed to do this kind of mobile things again?

    Try resetting preferences. Hold down the Ctrl-Shift-Alt keys immediately after starting Indesign. If you do not receive a message on the removal of preferences, you were fast enough. http://LiveDocs.adobe.com/en_US/InDesign/5.0/Help.html?content=WSa285fff53dea4f86173837510 01ea8cb3f - 6d1e.html

  • PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect and PDETextGetBBox producing different bounding boxes

    I used PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect to get the bounding box of a single character, then I used PDETextGetBBox to retrieve the character bounding boxes in a PDEText element. However when I get to the character in question limit box will not come out the same. The left, right and the sides of the bottom of the box are coming as planned, but the top is larger, then the original box from PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect. Any idea on what could be the issue.

    These are not only different API, they are conceptually different and work in different ways (one on content EDP page, an abstraction of the graphical model and one on the PDWordFinder, a text extractor). I'm surprised that they are also similar because they are given many different concepts of "enclosing" you might find (square em, limit of control point, nominal path, path antialisesed limit, advance left-right text...)

    The mixture of these unfortunate necessity of the API isn't. You must apply a fuzzy logic to match its content and hope for the best.

  • Paintings, boxes, text and notes

    Hello

    I have a project in InDesign. It comes to laws, regulations, etc. and it is full of notes. So far no problem. The author wants some parts of the text should be brought in blue boxes. Therefore, I have three options (at least three I know):

    1. place the parts of the text in tables (blue fill and 1pt black border)

    2. to reduce the main text area until the last line until the text is printed on a blue background, then clicking on the right at the bottom of this block of text to create a new image (linked to above) and apply the blue background, the inside and border margins.

    3. to create a text box with filling blue and black 1 pt border, put the text inside and put this box as an inline object in InDesign.

    In all these cases, I can easily work with styles so won't really be a problem. BUT.

    a. If I use option 1 notes are going to be "stripped" (have no idea what this means, but I think that they are deleted or moved at the end of the document). Not a good idea as this, I lost 2 356 notes notes. Lucky me, I noticed that at the time.

    b. If I have two option, then I eventually go through text boxes on the same page with a series of two notes.

    c. If I choose option three little matter what I try notes will be shared between these two images.

    That's why I tried another approach. I simply draw an object including the border and blue fill and put behind the text selected. If I am anchoring this box for text, so it moves with the text box just above the text. Same thing happens if I put the box on another layer. Once bound to a paragraph, sometimes in the same layer and above the text.

    So I made the most stupid thing ever that I usually hate and left these boxes not anchored to any part of the text. The bad idea if the text runs upward and down boxes will stay were they are now.

    Are there other solutions that I could use and do a cleaning and a professional project?

    Thank you for your time and effort.

    Sincerely,

    Sebastian

    What version of ID do you use?

    2015 CC has a new paragraph shading device which would be ideal to do this, with the exception of the black line. In any version, I think you should be able to do this work by adding an empty paragraph before one that needs shading, then anchor your blue box as an inline (non-custom) into one. Drag it to the bottom and he has to move behind the following text. I would create a paragraph for these empty paragraphs style which includes a Dungeon with then 1 line Option keep and another style for sections shaded for all the lines together. In some versions of ID, you can eliminate the first keep option and a spirit of 2nd Dungeon line 1 above, adds the shaded paragraph style.

  • How to get the bounding box of the text element boundaries.

    Hi all

    I try to get the boundaries of the bounding box of the text of paragraph element. I found the following link,

    the coordinate of a bounding box is the same as the coordinates of the layer?

    But the solution does not work for me. It is for me as the layer of destination each time that is the limits of the actual text.

    Can someone have an idea how to do this?

    Thank you.

    Ok.. Looks like these settings that if the upper line of fonts is calculated from the highest point of the highest glyph or above the normal uppercase and can go above this. What is it changes by the police?  And if the exchange difference, the bottom of the bounding box moves it or increase the height?

    Discover the values limits-descriptor, especially 'top '. I think that it used to have small values of values that could be the delta of the value of the position. Note that there might be the scaling issue that I explained earlier

    Var ref = new ActionReference()

    ref.putEnumerated (charIDToTypeID ("Lyr"), charIDToTypeID ("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID ("Trgt"))

    var action = executeActionGet (ref)

    var textKey = action.getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('textKey'))

    var limit = textKey.getObjectValue (stringIDToTypeID ('bounds'))

    Top Var = bounds.getUnitDoubleValue (stringIDToTypeID ('top'))

    var left = bounds.getUnitDoubleValue (stringIDToTypeID ('left'))
