It is fairer to sting CameraRAW or Photomerge panorama photos? Photoshop CC2015

Hello

I'm from taken on tripod with Pan head RAW files. Talk about Photoshop CC2015.

I would like to know if, in order to produce results more precise (and given to use wide angle barrel distortion), I'd rather stung:

1. directly in CameraRAW by selecting multiple files and selecting create panorama

2. directly using Photomerge and selection to correct geometric distortion

3. Firstly fix each shot to CameraRAW barrel distortion, then select them all again in CameraRAW after they all have associated a XMP file (which could keep hope that the Canon of the correction of the distortion associated with each shot when their fusion?)

4. Firstly fix each turned to CameraRAW barrel distortion, exporting under 16-bit TIFF then Photomerge them.

5. other options.

Any input welcome, thank you very much

I tried both ways. Insofar as one being more "accurate" as the other is concerned, I don't think that there is no measurable difference. I created a panorama of (12) 24 MP Raw files. My computer has only 8 GB of RAM. In my view, that the panorama is created more quickly using Lightroom, because it there was only one program in question that left more RAM available to perform the treatment. An advantage of using Lightroom or camera raw to create the panorama, it's that the panorama file that results is recorded as a DNG file. If you use a camera that has several profiles such as camera vivid, standard camera, landscape, describe, etc. on the panorama switching profiles will affect the image. Photoshop will create a TIF or PSD, so you won't have the ability to switch profiles.

Having said all that, I think that the best thing for you to do is to experiment and decide for yourself.

  • Why you need to save the images in photomerge panorama?

    Hello.

I don't understand why with the new version of the Photomerge panorama when I select "create panorama" the program asks me to save the images prior to their merger.

In addition I don' t understand what foto I must record and in which format?  (all the? in JPG? in PSD?)

Even after doing this (Save ALL images to merge as a JPG-copy) I can't go forward.

Thank you to anyone to help me.

After my post, I read that you need to open the images, export them (with mutiple of edit function) to a separate folder, and then from the p.panorama with the 'new' images. It worked, but I guess why it can't be fixed by Adobe. It is an unnecessary extra work.

    See this other post.

Panoramas - Error Message: the Documents must be registered before they can be merged

The problem only arises with the images in a vertical position.

It didn't happen with older versions of items, so I don't think that it can not be solved.

You don't have any extra work if you work from the organizer and you export your files to the correct resolution.

  • Version of Photoshop elements Windows 14 - error when you try to create a Photomerge Panorama "documents must be registered before they can be merged. I tried a few of the fixes mentioned in these forums such as Edit-> Preferences-> general-> res

We know the fix for the bug "documents must be registered before they can be merged" when you try to create a Photomerge Panorama in PSE 14?

I think I have found workarounds to the question "documents must be registered before they can be merged" (no thank you lack of Adobe customer support):

    Solution #1

My workflow template is to take pictures with my SLR and save on the memory in the form of RAW files, download the images on my PC, then open the RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw and then save the images to jpeg using PSE. I wasn't able to create Photomerge Panorama with jpeg images I've saved, but I was able to create Photomerge Panorama with the images I have saved IF I save as TIFF 8-bit files in EPS. A condition for this workaround was that I had to save the pictures at their original resolution and not at a reduced resolution.

    Solution #2

If I have a right-click on an image and selected open with 14 and observed PES Editor (RGB/8) * to the right of the file changes its name, which means PSE think he has not saved to the file. The solution is to go to file-> Save-> Save (replace existing file-Yes)-> OK. You can then use this file and others you perform the same steps to create a Photomerge Panorama.

    Solution #3

The way to save JPEG files in PSE is to go to file-> save for Web-> Save-> Save. The workaround is to select the file-> save for the Web and then check the box include the color profile , then click on save and then save again. Then I'm able to merge JPEG files using Photomerge Panorama and I don't get the error message "Documents must be registered before they can be merged". I looked back 11 of PSE that is still on my PC and found that the Embed checkbox color profile did NOT have to be checked to get Photomerge to work for jpeg files. So it appears with PSE 14 Adobe changed the Photomerge Panorama script to require the image file the color profile embedded in the image. If the color profile is not embedded, PSE think the image file has unsaved changes. BTW, this bug, or "feature" has not changed with PSE 14.1.

    John

With the help of PSE 7.

Normally after the photomerge panorama all layers will be chosen as below, and that's why the points to improve are grey.

You can merge these layers into a new layer by pressing Shift + Ctrl + Alt + E, and then either use strengthen it menu items or adjustment layers.
