iTunes 12.5.1. Crashed

Last night, I upgraded my iphone 5 32 GB iOS 10.0.1. It worked perfectly.

But this morning I plugged on my iTunes 12.1.2 (Windows 7 64-bit) but iTunes didn't read my iPhone. There was an entry in the box: "itunes is not connect to this iphone because an answer not valid.»

I read in this forum that to run an iPhone iOS 10, I need to update my iTunes to 12.5.1. I thought maybe it was my problem. Several tips on the net says I should do this and that. But my best guess was that a problem with me has recently upgraded the iOS. I have connected my iPad and my wife's iphone (using the previous iOS 9.xx) and iTunes can read these devices.

Maybe the problem has been confirmed, I have to update iTunes to 12.5.1. So I did.

But now the iTunes 12.5.1. don't want run once installed. It crashed. Here is the information written in the box:

  • iTunes crashes on launch everytime - El Capitan

Yesterday, I synced and backed up my iPhone with iTunes 6. The next day iTunes immediately crashed on the launch of a report similar to the error below. Since I was not able to run iTunes without him immediately crashing. I only use iTunes to backup and transfer occasionally audiobooks to my iPhone.

    It have the latest version of iTunes: 12.3.2 (12.3.2.35) on OS X 10.11.3 (15 d 21).

My actions leading to the accident:

    • synchronization and backup iPhone op (cable).
    • run CCleaner with "iTunes" checked to clean up.
    • DivX removed from my Mac.

What I've tried so far to fix it and unfortunately did not work:

    • Restarted Mac.... obviously
    • Reinstalled iTunes with the installation package.
    • Restart in safe mode and launched iTunes from there.
    • Deleted all the files of preference (.plist) iTunes from the folder of the Application user data.
    • Created new iTunes library by starting with the down option.
    • Restored from previous iTunes library.
    • Permissions of the drive repaired (via the Terminal).

After these attempts, I now get a dialog box indicating the following:

"The last time that you opened iTunes, he unexpectedly while the reopening of windows." You want to try to reopen his windows again? »

Which of the two options "should not be reopened" and "Reopen" I select does not matter, the accident happens again.

What works: created the new user and launched iTunes successfully from this account. Unfortunately, this is not a viable solution for me.

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

  • 12.5.1 iTunes crashes when you play on AirPlay

    Hi all...

Since the 12.5.1, update any when I play music over the airtime to one of my devices AirPlay after ten minutes or so, iTunes hangs on my iMac. I have had three accidents on three times when I played the music in this way, since the update.

Of course, I could use some advice on how to approach this. It is even possible to go back to my old iTunes?

Furthermore, I played music over airtime all the time before the update with iTunes ever crashing. In addition, a few anecdotes:

    • iMac is connected to an Airport Extreme via Ethernet
    • Airport Extreme is plugged into an Ethernet hub
    • The Airplay device is a Pioneer receiver, connected on the same hub Ethernet (two different Pioneer receivers in two different places)

    Hello Brent,.

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

I see that iTunes is leaving after an update when you play songs to AirPlay devices. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to help isolate and resolve the cause of the error.

If you haven't done so already, don't forget to restart your network devices and receivers of the AirPlay. For AirPort Extreme, I suggest a "soft reset" for now as mentioned in resetting an airport station base FAQ.

Then try the AirPlay test in safe mode and a new account on your Mac user. The following steps can help to eliminate software conflicts in your user account and can give us an indication of the additional troubleshooting steps to try then.

You can use this Support article as a guide to complete both of these steps-How to test one question in another user on your Mac account.

When it comes to tests in a new user, you need to import a few songs in iTunes for testing library. Here are some links to help with the signing in music Apple or download past purchases:

    Download your latest purchases

    Turn on iCloud music library

    Best regards.

  • iTunes crashes if its wifi network does not have access to the internet

    Hi all.

I'm running a 13 "mac book pro with OS X El Capitan.

I have a very specific problem of iTunes which is really bugging me.  I'm a pro saxophone player and part of my job is performed as a soloist with playbacks on my mac.  To avoid having to walk to the mac to start the track to accompany each song, I use a tablet on a stand that I can place anywhere in the room.  I've set up a router next to the mac that the mac and the tablet of connect to, and I run "retune" on the Tablet (I think it's that his name) which is a wifi iTunes remotely.  Installation is really smart cos he allows me to choose new avenues of selection from anywhere in the room instead of walking back and forwards to the mac every time.

The problem I have is that sometimes maybe (1 to 5 times), I have a real problem from iTunes when the mac is connected to a wifi network that has no real internet connection.  I'm sure that iTunes detects wifi connection and then tries to access the internet to connect with the store.  When he is not in the store it just crashes and I get the spinning wheel of death.  Most of the time, I can simply restart the program several times and finally he decided to play ball, but it's a real pain.  And I did a concert yesterday where he would not have enough, no matter what I did.  If I had no choice but to turn off the router and keep walking to the mac for each song.

I can't find a setting anywhere on iTunes that can disable the connection to the store and I really am stuck.

I also tried alternative programs (I used Clementine briefly but I just found it too flakey to be invoked) and so I am open to others suggests.  But I need a player who has a remote app that I can use on my tablet.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I use an older version of iTunes and in the preferences a lot, I can disable Store, Radio, sharing services, probably genius if I got it. Check all your preferences settings including those you think don't matter such as parental preferences (this is where the store is hidden on mine).  Realize also that iTunes has turned into a simple multimedia player to a 75% of sales and marketing as well as the do-it-all tool (aka bloatware) try too many at once and developers can't even imagine someone (i.e. the daily target user) use it without Internet.  Add on that you try to use an application to control iTunes and something like that is likely to misbehave, willy nilly whenever Apple launches an update.

Don't forget with wi - fi you are subject to interfering signals other wi - fi services in the region or the stage equipment.

  • iTunes crashes out

The latest in iTunes seems to work fine except when I go out, when it crashes.

    Hello Tony,.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

It seems that iTunes works fine except it closes unexpectedly when you try to exit. Let's see if we can get iTunes working as it should.

Start with the method described in fix unexpectedly closes or launch questions in iTunes for Windows, which has some good to determine why iTunes is leaving and then troubleshoot the cause.

    All the best.

  • iTunes v12.5 crash with webkit.dll on launch

I had a Windows 7 PC that I currently v12.4 iTunes running without any problem. During the upgrade to iTunes v12.5 crashes instantly to launch registration module webkit.dll as cause. I had this problem several times with older versions of iTunes and incompatibility with Intel integrated video card drivers. Force the system to use an outboard video piece of card and things very well. On this system of rear bearing to v12.4 iTunes everything worked perfectly. A new installation of iTunes v12.5 even after removal of all Apple related files and registry entries and iTunes v12.5 blocks exactly the same way.

Apple has an obvious bug in v12.5 that needs to be crushed. As it doesn't seem to be a bug submission system mere mortals who have access, I can only hope someone from Apple sees this (I'm not holding my breath) and puts it in their system. FYI, Apple, I really want to buy a new iPad Pro 12.9 ". But until there is a version of iTunes that runs on my PC AND supports iOS10, I can't get back my money. AKA, there is a financial loss to the company for bugs not crushed.

    Thank you!

    -EM

I have this problem and have tried the recommended fixes I could find. I uninstalled everything apple, deleted and any preferences directory Apple that I can find, rebooted, itunes installed as an administrator (or not) and it still don't work when you try to connect to the store. I have Visual Studio is installed on my machine, when it asks "Debug"?, I say yes, and I get a message like "Exception thrown in 0x00007FFC71F25E36 (WebKit.dll) in iTunes.exe: 0xC0000005: location 0 read access violation x 0000000000000000'."  It would be nice to solve this problem.

Hold down the option/alt key and create a new test library. If iTunes start your old library file is corrupted and will need to be replaced from a backup or rebuilt from scratch:
