Please I would appreciate your help on this, thank you.

Looks like your optical drive may be failing. Do play other CD? Note that it is possible that could play DVDs and CDs not or visa versa, because they use different lasers.

    Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, pre does not allow additional Audio tracks, creating.

I use Adobe Encore for this, but it is only available bundled with Premiere Pro. I don't know if others, third, all authoring apps., as Sony DVD Architect features can do, but I guess they can. The specifications of the Architect DVD should have this information, and as it is quite common in creation complete. apps, I expect that it has this capability.

If you go with this program, our MOD, Steve Grisetti, wrote a very good book about DVD Architect, and it is available at Muvipix.com.

    1. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

    2. the specific issue of burning CD using WMP?

    3. What is the exact full error message?

    4. what you are trying to burn?

    5. is the specific question on the disk?

Method 1: You can run the fixit available in the link below and

Your CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media

    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us?EntryPoint=lightbox

    Method 2: Clean the disc

Clean the CD or the DVD. To do this, use a disc cleaning kit. Or gently wipe the silver side of the disc with a soft and Lint cotton cloth. Do not use cloth of paper which can scratch the plastic and leave streaks. When you clean the disc, wipe from the center of the disc outward. Do not use a circular motion. If the problem persists, clean the disc with a damp cloth or a commercial CD or DVD cleaning solution. Dry the disc thoroughly until you insert the disc in the drive.

    Hello Angels3cma,

Thank you for posting.  It seems that you were doing data DVD discs.  To burn DVDs to be compatible with the DVD player, you will need to make DVD-video disc.  I have listed the steps below to make DVD-video disc in Windows DVD Maker.  These same steps are be typing "How to burn a movie on a DVD" in Help and Support found by pressing the button Start/Orb you Windows desktop.

    Burn a DVD-video disc

You can create DVDs quickly and easily using Windows DVD creation. You can add videos, photos and audio, make slide shows for your DVD, or add your Windows Movie Maker projects. Once you add files, you can burn your DVD with a single click, or, if you prefer, you can choose from several styles of menu and the slide show options to make your special DVD before you burn, or customize your DVD menus and write the DVD menu text yourself.

After you create a DVD, you can play the DVD on a DVD player and watch your movies and slide shows on TV. The following steps explain how to use creation of Windows DVD to burn a DVD.

    To open Windows DVD Maker

    • Click Start, click all programs, and then click Windows DVD creation.

      Note

      • You can also open Windows DVD Maker by inserting a DVD recordable or rewritable Virgin in your DVD burner. When the AutoPlay dialog appears automatically, click on burn a DVD video disc using Windows DVD creation.

To add and mix and match the elements on a DVD

    2. Do one of the following on the Add pictures and video to the DVD page:

How to burn a 'Audible' book on a CD?

    Hello:

I bought a book "Audible" format and have it on my iPhone. He plays a lot. However, it is very annoying to have physically plug my iPhone on the Flash cable in my car listening to the book whenever I'm in and out of my car. So, I want to burn the Audible format on a CD book and leave the CD in my car so that every time I get in the car, the book begins to play automatically.

The question which is for the life of me I can not understand how! I don't remember how I got the audio book on my iPhone, but it does not appear in iTunes anywhere on my iMac: non-library: audio books or library: authors, or when you do a Spotlight search on the iMac looking for the title of the book.

When I go to devices: MyiPhone:Books and then click the devices tab: MyiPhone:Audiobooks in iTunes (with the iPhone connected to iTunes) it does not appear there.

I am a novice with computers, but I'm totally stumped! Maybe I downloaded the audio book to my iPhone wireless originally and that's why it does not appear on my iMac, but it shouldn't show somewhere when the iPhone is plugged into iTunes? Again, the book plays perfectly the iPhone, but I just want to burn it to CD for convenience when driving.

    Thank you very much!

  • IMovie 09 with El Capitan will not otherwise pictures/iphoto or itunes - projects lost forever?

Simple (I hope) questions on imovie and iphoto/photos/itunes... Well simple enough...

I use imovie 09 with El Capitan. As you know that el Capitan not including iphoto, imovie 09 can no longer access to iphoto.  Pictures is the replacement for iphoto and imovie 09 will not otherwise be. Finally, imovie 09 access is more itunes.

I have so many projects that are now useless, like all pictures and external soundtracks are more accessible.

IF I update to imovie 10 version (a snip at £10.99 apparently)...

    (a) my imovie 09 projects will be viable, IE. will be links to the (ex-iphoto, now photos) images and itunes files to recovery for my old projects are not lost forever?

    (b) the new imovie will be able to access photos and itunes as good old imovie 09 used to before el capitan burned its bridges for her?

This may be academic, because in some things I can't access my old projects in any case. What is scary and sad.

But any assistance gratefully received. Thank you!

I use imovie 09 with El Capitan. As you know that el Capitan not including iphoto, imovie 09 can no longer access to iphoto.

Have you tried updating iPhoto version 9.6.1? This version works well on El Capitan and iMovie 9.0.9 shows iPhoto libraries in the photo browser. The screenshot below is from iMovie on OS X 10.11.5 9.0.9: I don't have older versions of iMovie, if they are still able to see the iPhoto library.

You can update to iPhoto 9.6.1, if you have a version of iPhoto 11, which shows the history of your purchases on the App Store in, see user Barney'a trick:

Can't update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Store.

    Your question (a)

I migrated libraries iMovie 9.0.9 to 10, some time ago, and the conversion was lossless. But I can't test what will happen now.

    Your question (b)

iMovie 10.1.2 shows me all the libraries of my picture in the Media tab - the iPhoto, Aperture, photo library library library, also a long time that you have installed the compatible applications.

And the iTunes Library will accomplish in the Audio tab.

  • How import and continue working with old projects iDVD?

I have some old files of project iDVD since 2008.  I never burned real DVD on their part.  At the time I played against them directly on the mobile phone.

Today, I have an iMac with El Capitan OS X Version 10.11.3.  There iDVD 7.1.2 version (1158).

I tried to open the older files with the new iDVD.  The program opens and is complaint of the queue at all but as far as I can tell him simply ignore.  With the program running, I find no evidence of any content.  It is stuck on the themes of the page.  No other option doesn't show anything.

    Am I missing something?

More generally, how can I get inside these files?  I would like to have access to the content in them and actually burn a DVD.  Is this possible?

Advice and suggestions would be most appreciated.

You are able to create a new project with a theme? You have all installed themes, from version 1 thru 7 iDVD iDVD?  If not maybe the project is an older version that you have installed.

To get inside the packaging of project control (right) - click on the file and select view the contents of the Package on the shortcut menu:

However, if you have added movie files to the project and they are not coded, they will not be in the package.  They only should be indicated. If the assets have been encoded, they will be in the Contents/Resources/MPEG.nobackup folder but will be missing the audio.  These files will be look like this and play videos only in Quicktime Player:
