Error message when trying to burn a cd with Windows Media Player

Hello

1. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

2. the specific issue of burning CD using WMP?

3. What is the exact full error message?

4. what you are trying to burn?

5. is the specific question on the disk?

Method 1: You can run the fixit available in the link below and

Your CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media

http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us?EntryPoint=lightbox

Method 2: Clean the disc

Clean the CD or the DVD. To do this, use a disc cleaning kit. Or gently wipe the silver side of the disc with a soft and Lint cotton cloth. Do not use cloth of paper which can scratch the plastic and leave streaks. When you clean the disc, wipe from the center of the disc outward. Do not use a circular motion. If the problem persists, clean the disc with a damp cloth or a commercial CD or DVD cleaning solution. Dry the disc thoroughly until you insert the disc in the drive.

Select a slower recording speed and check if that helps.

1. in the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the devices tab.
2. in devices, double-click the CD burner, and then click the recording tab.
3. in the write speed list, select a slower speed.

Method 3:

Perform the clean boot and check:

    Hello

I recently haven't been able to burn a CD with Windows Media Player (he worked last week, but not now). I get an error message "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. The link between the library item and its digital media file associated with may be broken. "Try to fix the link or delete the item. There is a web help option which says that to fix a link, you click on the blue icon next to the item, then click "Browse this article. But the only icon I see is a little blue triangle next to individual songs in the library pane or list, there is no icon next to the name of the playlist. Although the click with the right button on the blue triangle gives me a few options, "Browse this point" is not one of them. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong and how can I sort it please!

    Hello

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of
themselves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this issue has been
caused by those, however, it's a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    After the foregoing:

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

  • How can I fix WinMail error code 0 x 80070002, MSOE.dll could not be initialized?

Suddenly, I was unable to access my aol e-mail account via winmail as I did for some time.  I get an error message that says: "Windows Mail could not be started.  initialize junk filtering.  Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. " DLL cannot be initialized. "I ran virus scans, I tried to reinstall Windows Mail, I checked the Microsoft Knowledgebase and I restored my computer to a point before you have the problem.  I can access my AOL e-mail account via the Internet, but really have problems with the functionality, and I can't access any previous mail in my Inbox or one of my registered email.  Can someone tell me what's happened and how can I fix the problem?

    Hello

Method 1: You can reset the message storage location and which can allow you to run Windows Mail.

    Navigate to the following location:

    Mail C:\Users\{yourusername}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows
Note: (The directory may be hidden, go to control panel |) Folder options | View and activate
display of files and folders hidden and also uncheck the hide option
    extensions of known file types).
Rename this directory from Windows Mail to Windows Mail old and then start
Windows Mail and it will introduce a new message store in a new directory of Windows Mail.
Note: If make you it work, then you can go to file | Import |
Messages and point to the old directory.

    Method 2:
You can try to remove the Windows Mail registry key and if
It doesn't work, then try to delete the identity key.
    (a) click Start, type run and press enter
    (b) in the execution type search regedit and press enter
    (c) go to the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities
Note: Make sure WinMail is closed, right click on the key and
    Click on delete.
Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • How to convert wma and wav, mp4 files and what not not mp3 with Windows media player?

    * Original title: music questions

Music has become a huge problem for me.   My car CD player only supports mp3 format.  I wish I could burn my CD from which I get used various locations, so that I can play in my car. Or convert files I have, which are not in mp3 format.  I played the same CD in my car for years.  It's a little sad.  And convert mp3 no mp3 files, so I can play them in my car, because I don't have a player other than Windows media player and speakers belong good markets.   How to convert files to wma and wav and mp4 and what not in mp3?

Music is expensive nowadays and the multiple formats and thus loss of music bought and in the cloud, or itunes 'cannot locate the source' will not play, and when devices in the event of a failure or who are upgraded drives me crazy.  I have more music in my life and I wish that we would go back to portable music as CD.

I usually use Windows Media player to RIP CD, that I find at thrift stores.   I have my brother gave me, on the PC that is in all sorts of types of music files.  I found a job online converter and it is, according to me, so thank you guys for suggesting that.  Have tried 3 different ones and finally found one that works in the last one.  I think my brain might need a bit of adjustment, of our days, (won't tell you music I have on CD, would seriously date), no kidding, but probably my PC could also use the setting.   I also have itunes for Windows, but have hardly used it.
