iTunes U course private on MacBook?

I have provided a registration code for a course on iTunes U, but I can't understand how to enter in iTunes on my Macbook. I already entered the code in the app on my iPhone, but for only this specific course material does not sync the phone to the laptop.

Suggestions how to display the material on the laptop?

In short: No.

  • Loading iTunes library of old, defunct macbook to new macbook using backups Time Machine

Hello. How can I get iTunes library from my old Macbook loaded on my new Macbook using the backup Time Machine that exists from the old machine. The new mac is connected to the time machine, I can open Time machine, see the backups, but get nowhere when you attempt to load the library in iTunes on my new Macbook. I see the file .itl from the old machine to backups... where can I go from here?

The iTunes library on the new machine is empty, so save is not a matter of concern.

  • CD part downloads between two iTunes accounts on the same MacBook Pro

We have a MacBook Pro shared between two users

Can I share a CD downloaded on two iTunes accounts, without using home sharing?

I don't really want to download the same CD twice as that would waste space unnecessary.

    Thank you

    Without using home sharing...?

I guess it's technically possible if you put the iTunes Media folder to somewhere that is accessible from the two user accounts, but which will cause more problems than it is worth.  For example, you can add new songs in your iTunes library and the other user iTunes library will not know about these songs.  Or another user can delete music files, while your iTunes library expects that these records of songs to always be there.

  • How can I transfer the mail, Safari, iTunes, etc of my 2008 MacBook running OS 10.5.8, a new MacBook Pro (with Ethernet port) or a new MacBook Air?

I replace my 2008 Macbook which maxed out at OS 10.5.8, with a new MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.  The Pro has an Ethernet port, the Air is not.  I want to transfer all the data from my application (mail, Safari, iTunes, etc.) for the new Macbook that will run El Capitan.  How can I do?

What machine you're leaning towards? With Air, you have to use ether WIFI or have the old drive on an external drive configuration. With a new Macbook Pro, the simplest method is to use the migration assistant. Access your Macbook in public services and to see, there you have it. Here is a link to what you can do.  http://pondini.org/OSX/SetupLion.html It is said Lion, but it applies the same. Here's what apple says.  https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204350 you should know that some of the apps in Leopard will be obsolete in El Captian. There you transfer, it can cause problems. I use the thinking that if I can replace it with a download I do this. The transfer or, if there is an update for it.

  • iTunes will not respond on Macbook Pro

My iTunes will not respond when I hit the play button. My version of iTunes is 12.4.1.6. It worked when I bought my mac, but now, he won't answer. It works on my iPhone, but not my Mac. Any suggestions?

iTunes you know on a Mac does not run on an iPhone. It's a completely different operating system. It is also a completely different application that Apple in a fit of lack of creativity has given the same name as the thing on a computer, but it's a different function.

    You have restarted your computer?

  • MacBook disconnects me after minimize iTunes while the mini Player is open.

    Hi all.

I had some problems with iTunes on my late 2011 macbook pro.

The iTunes miniplayer is open, minimize the window iTunes disconnects the user.

I'm confused as to why. This means that I need to the full iTunes window open during the miniplayer is open, which defeated the purpose. Any ideas on how to solve this problem? I have the public beta version of Sierra and it does not have this problem, but fact of El Capitan.

    Thanks in advance

    Greetings Sharkey101,

Thanks for your post. If I understand correctly, your Mac connects to the user account when you minimize iTunes. It's certainly not what must happen. I'll be happy to help you.

First of all, because the computer went missing between El Capitan and the beta of Sierra, let's make sure that El Capitan is updated with Mac OS X 10.11.6: update the software on your Mac - Apple Support

Then, if you can go to our iTunes download site and try to reinstall iTunes to see if that helps. You can find the download page here: iTunes - download iTunes - App

After that, I would recommend this test in a new user account to see if it's a broad question system or something wrong with your user account. You can find the instructions for that here: How to test one question in another account on your Mac - Apple Support

    Take care!

  • iTunes (for laptop MacBook Pro) for iPhone

Until now I was able to maintain a significant library of iTunes on my computer (laptop MacBook Pro) and transfer only the files currently, I wanted to play on my iPhone 5s, but now he has completely developed a mind of your own.  Even with 'Manage music manually' checked, he insists on the importation of (or at least the poster on the phone) ALL your iTunes library!  (But I would say it's actually being imported into the phone).  She adopted a very attitude "all or nothing".  When he downloaded everything on the iPhone, I was able to remove everything by going to settings > general > storage and use iCloud > storage to manage and simply remove all pieces of music.  Before when I did this, the icon of music seemed always with 'No Data'.  Now it has disappeared completely, perhaps because the phone is disconnected from the computer.  The songs seem to have disappeared, but it has developed two problems:

    1. it displays everything when connected to iTunes - I can't tell which are actually on the phone, unless they are all.

    2. some files iTunes, when I slip and fall, apparently correctly appear on the phone, the other files created identically, which did not play on the computer, and who were on the phone before, now does not transfer to the phone, and others sometimes and sometimes not.  Then when I stop to think or straighten, iTunes spilling everything on the phone and I need to remove again.  Summer in circles for hours and no end in sight.  Go to bed and in the hope of waking up with a usable answer.  Thanks for any help.

    < re-titled by host >

Trying to import from iTunes to my iPhone, I checked "Manually manage music" and tried to check and uncheck "Sync only Checked songs."  At best, it is not good as all songs are checked for "Songs", while the single view where I can keep collections at halfway straight albums.  (Seems not a way to alphabetize or elsewhere to organize the albums - you just have to scroll through everything in a random order, select those you want, and then have iTunes maniacal laugh as it does not account of your choice or simply synchronizes everything.)  At worst, checking or unchecking "Sync only checked Songs" doesn't make any difference because there seems to be no way to check entire albums and ONLY the albums you want.  Whatever it is, with "Sync only checked Songs" checked or unchecked, iTunes will not a * thing until I started to drag an album on the phone and then it drags the WHOLE LIBRARY WITH HIM, AND IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE to GET JUST THE BIT I want AND NOTHING else!  She was torturing me for three days.  It is horrible and evil and is determined to make me drag my computer everywhere and never listen to more audio on the phone.  I hate it and they must be destroyed.

It is not so much the Macbook Pro model as what operating system your help, for example, if you're running Lion and trying to download Itunes for El Captian. Impossible to run your operating system which. Updates for your system come from apple. Ether through a software update or the Apple app store. Generally, you will receive a notification if an update is available. What operating system you're running and what Iphone model? IPhone 6plus has for example need OS 10.7.5 or newer.

  • My iPod Classic will not be synchronized with my new MacBook

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and uploaded on most of my old iTunes library to my new computer from my old computer (also a MacBook Pro, even though I had for almost 7 years).   I plugged my iPod 160GB Classic (running on 2.0.5) I had bought on iTunes to sync music, but he's not going on the iPod even if the music is displayed on my iTunes.  The iPod appears in iTunes and when I hit "sync" the screen of my iPod says that it is syncing, but nothing happens.  Nothing has been removed from the iPod, but in nothing added.  I still have the old MacBook, but I would stop using it, but of course, I want to be able to update my iPod with new content.  What should I do?

If the iPod is currently sync with the old MacBook, it syncs automatically for the new MacBook, unless you change this association.  iPods can use an automatic synchronization with iTunes at the same time the library, because sync ("synchronize") means iTunes prevents iPod identical to one iTunes library (or a portion of this library that you select).

You can set the iPod to automatically synchronize with the iTunes library on the new MacBook.  In the process, the iPod is deleted and the content of the new MacBook iTunes library is synced to iPod.

OR, you can transfer your iTunes full of the old MacBook to the new MacBook.  Then, iTunes on the new MacBook looks like iTunes on the old MacBook (with the exception of versions of iTunes-related changes) with ALL your songs (and other media) as well as supporting data, such as playlists, play count, ratings, date added, etc.  Your iPod may be seen as the iTunes library (on the new MacBook) same (old MacBook) iTunes library, because it IS the same iTunes library.

I think that it is better to transfer the full iTunes library...  This document describes how to back up your iTunes library on an external drive.

Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external drive - Apple Support

The first step "consolidating" your iTunes data in the iTunes folder, which is located in your folder music user account.  Mac, if you use the default settings in iTunes, all your iTunes data should already be in the iTunes folder to a user, but it does not hurt to do this step.  The second step copies the folder iTunes on an external drive. The third step restores the backup of the iTunes of the external drive folder. in your case, "restore you" (copy) for the new Mac to replace the iTunes folder that is there.  To do this with iTunes does NOT.  As you add new songs for the new iTunes folder, you must delete it not; Move it to a new location, such as the desktop.  Then copy the folder iTunes of the external drive instead.  When you run iTunes on the new MacBook, it uses this iTunes folder, which has your old MacBook iTunes data.

NOTE: You don't have to use an external drive, if you can set up file sharing between two MacBooks.  You can do the second and third steps in one fell swoop by copying the folder iTunes directly from old MacBook MacBook again.

After you confirm that all seems right in your iTunes library (restored), you can manually add everything that isn't there in the folder iTunes that you moved to the desktop.

  • Anyone know why my iTunes songs don't drag and drop MP3?

I just bought a Sandisk Clip Jam MP3 player.  (Sorry, Apple: my new Shuffle was too difficult to use without screen.)  I tried to drag and drop the music files I want on that to his library iTunes x 12 on my Macbook, but no sign appears when I do that, and they don't "stick".  I followed the instructions in the manual. Anyone have this experience with iTunes? Must be a good reason, but I don't know what it is. Thank you!

If he plays that mp3s are the tracks that you drag in mp3 format?

  • iPhone 6 will not connect to iTunes

    Hi all!

Here's my problem: my iPhone 6 (iOS 10.0.1) does not connect to my iTunes (11.4) on my Macbook Pro (2008) 10.6.8 running. The message I get is: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone 6 because an invalid response was received from the device."

    The steps I did:

1 - uninstall iTunes and reset the folder (/ var/db/lockdown) reinstall iTunes (11.4). When I connect my phone iPhone and iTunes asks if I want to trust each other. I click ok and trust on both.

.. .and that's it! Still does not work.

    Any idea?

    Thank you!

    CiberBob

You are right. An iPhone with iOS 10.0.1 requires the latest version of iTunes, 12.5.1, which requires OS X 10.9.5 or above. Your version of iTunes is too old, just like the OS X version to support.

  • Import files from iPod to new iTunes

I want to synchronize the music that is on my iPod in my iTunes library on my new macbook. the only option I can see will delete all my music on my iPod. The only thing I could do is to sync the purchased music, but not the rest.

By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You can't use iTunes to transfer files from iPod to computer song (except that you noted).  However, you can use a method of third-party or a utility to transfer files from iPod to computer song.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

If your old computer is always accessible, with its iTunes library intact, the well best way to transfer your iTunes complete library, with all media and data to support (for example playlists, play account, ratings, date added, etc), is to copy your iTunes directly folder from your old computer to your new MacBook.  If possible, you can post back for further information.
