  Hey all, new to these forums, but just bought a 40TL900A and I am very happy with it so far. Nice visuals and sound coming from the built-in speakers isn't too bad either.

• Export to iView

  I want to export my LR3 files to an iView catalog.

  In the window export I can specify which application - and I can say indeed he uses iView-, but not precise what iView catalog then how can I point LR to open the files exported to a defined, not a generic catalogue?

  My alternative is to specify a Show in the Finder drag files in my catalog, but this is just something more which could be switched off circuit.

  Richard, would be a control folder with automatic update for you with iView work. As I'm not familiar with the structure of your file or when you want to save your exported TIFF files... If you always save your TIFF exported somewhere in the same parent folder structure, you could theoretically do parent a control iView folder this folder and it would automatically incorporate all files added to this place. You can only files in this folder structure you want to include in the iView catalog, as it would automatically incorporate all the files that are there, not only your processed TIFFs... Just a thought.

• Anyone know how to tag a contact plate at the top like you might iView Media Pro?

  I am new to Lightroom and think about the upgrade to LIghtroom 2, since I can get CR4 and LR2 priced package.  Thought to stop using iView to print contact sheets and start learning LR.  A feature that I like and my clients are accustomed to is to have a line of copy to the top

  a Board-contact, which describes the customer, the event, the date, and what folder and what DVD consult these special tiles.  Anyone know if it is possible to have a custom info line at the top of the page?  No metadata, not a page number as in the lower right corner, not a watermark.

  Here's an example of what I'm talking about this iView allows me to do.  I don't want to buy Microsoft software now that they bought iView.

  In the right of the Print Panel, look at the identity plate and overlays. Right click and choose Edit. You can then create a title and place it where you want.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• Airport Extreme network 4G connection

  I currently have the following configuration for my internet appliances:

  I have an Airport Extreme unit serving wireless three units Airport Express to extend WiFi coverage throughout the House. Physically connected to the Airport Extreme via ethernet are two televisions Panasonic who can access the same places predetermined via the internet (for example, BigPond movies and television, People, ABC iView, SBS OnDemand). To enable connectivity to other sites such as Netflix, Stan etc every Panasonic TV has its own unit of Apple TV connected to Airport Extreme via WiFi.

  I use Airport Extreme for all my other internal needs such as web connectivity MacBook and iPhone.

  The Airport Extreme WAN port is so physically connected to the ADSL modem and line phone Telstra for the Exchange, which is about 4 km.

  The problem is that the speed of download of the ADSL 2 + are poor, maxing out at about 3.5mbps. When I listen to the live broadcast of MotoGP and World Superbike racing the picture often freezes while he puts in buffer. Watched movies via Netflix and Stan often freezes too.

  I just ran a speed test on the Telstra Mobile 4 G network and I got a download speed of 111.94Mbps 41.77Mbps upload speed.

  Now, I'm thinking it would be great if I could connect my home network to the internet via their WiFi 4 G device X Pro Advanced.

  My question is this:

  Is it possible to connect the Airport Extreme to the Telstra WiFi 4 G device and the use of the mobile network for my internet and get rid of the ADSL modem? I don't think I can use USB Extreme airport connection, I think that the port is only to connect a printer, but I do not know if the Airport Extreme talk wireless Telstra 4 G device. Documentation of Telstra said their device will connect up to 10 devices using WiFi, but I do not know if there would be problems with the Airport Extreme router to talk to her.

  After spending heaps on all these units of Apple (1 x Airport Extreme) and 3 x Airport Express I don't want to lose, but if there is no way to Airport Extreme wireless unit of Telstra (or if this method is ridiculous) so maybe I might be able to get the device of Telstra to talk to all my other WiFi devices directly. Then, I might be able to sell the extreme and expresses it.

  I had a discussion with Apple Support through their chat session, but the person with which I spoke was not able to help.

  You need a device that is able to connect via Ethernet to the AirPort Extreme base station.

  With a plain/direct USB 4 G modem, a router broadband mobile sometimes can act in Bridge mode and thus provide a conversion method. For example, Dovado has these routers, but their modem (http://www.dovado.com/en/support/modems) compatibility list appears to cite that a single Telstra USB 4 G modem (ZTE) which supports the mode bridge.

  Your question indicates, however, that the 4G modem is actually a mobile access point (providing a local Wi - Fi network). If so, it may or may not be possible to use the wireless Ethernet Bridge (maybe even a model of Apple AirPort Express appropriate) to join this hotspot wireless and then connect via Ethernet to the entrance of the AirPort Extreme. This is all experimental, however. Various problems, including double NAT, are to be expected.

• Can Mozilla to improve the compatibility of Firefox with Adobe through the pepper based Flash Player Chrome uses

  I noticed recently that when using Firefox I can't (yet) to watch videos of Australian Broadcasting Corporation by using their site ABC Iview (www.abc.net.au/iview). I think it's because my current version of Mozilla Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 (Linux) uses Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.400 (according to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) but Adobe says it's the latest version, they will produce for the Linux operating system, and they won't even publish versions for Linux. However, the ABC said on their website that I need Adobe Flash Player 11.7 + for their video streaming - see http://iview.abc.net.au/support/faqs.

  So, my desire to use Firefox, because I support their principles is stuck by Adobe and ABC set (ie. by anti-competitive acts by Adobe and the stupidity of the ABC!)

  My only option is to use Google Chrome, but I largely prefer to use Firefox. I wonder if Mozilla Firefox will see if they can use "pepper based Flash player" that uses chrome, or is this something that Google has the copyright for.

  I might post screenshots of errors I get trying to watch ABC iview attached, but they seem particularly relevant and in any case, I don't see how to add images to this issue.

• 55 "VL900A will not connect to the online TV services

  Having just bought a 55 "VL900A I am quite surprised that it only connects to one"catch-up"online TV services, here in Australia. Virtually all other brands of smart TV sold here, even the cheap Soniqs, will connect at least ABC iView, otherwise more catch-ups available.

  I hope that someone from Toshiba can tell us that iView support is coming? (hopefully with SBS and Fix - TV Plus7) If I understand the ABC does not charge a license fee to provide a customer in your product.

  Go ahead it will be a big problem-breaker for many new customers that might be put in balance a Toshiba compared to another brand.

  I m not from Australia but I m wondering you didn t contact your local dealer and pick up some info on it. Usually dealer should know how it works. I think that they are testing the products they offer in their shops.

  Perhaps have you contacted Toshiba service provider in to THE? Try it. Ask them what the problem is here.

  I just bought an IVIEW 700 netbook with 1 GB, which is supported by windows this v5. I was not able to find any antivirus software. I talked to someone at IVIEW who said that he didn't there none for windows this v5 is nor any required state. I really don't believe that. So please help me. And if you can lead me to free antivirus it would be greatly appreciated.

• Flash Player problems with NSZ - GS7

  The Chrome browser that accompanies the NSZ - GS7 has the Flash plug-in installed. However since the update of the CBA I watch is no longer iView. When you go on ABC IVIEW, I get the message:

  'The plugin Adobe Flash Player is required to watch videos on the site of Iview'

  Yet I know that the Flash Player is installed because of the other sites that I visit that have Flash content.

  I do need to update something? If so, how to do manually as I normally get invited when I turn on the machine that an update is available that I can download and it installs.

  I have a bean with the implementation defined in CardReader.CardReaderWrapper class.  When the form starts up you can see the init() method is called.  This action creates an instance - see red Objct1.  When I push the button and do the fbean.invoke method, it creates another instance, see red objct2, and the dispatchcustomevent() method fails.  Looks like I should have only one instance of the kifani not two?  It is a failure in the last line of code before the call to forms - dispatchCustomEvent (this);  IM so close...

• The bean code is not activate when-custom-point-event trigger

  I wrote a java bean to read card reader Omnikey.  It works - almost.  When-custom-point-event is not fired.  Get the key of the reader in the java console, but then follows an exception.  The exeption complains, I believe, m_handler null variable in dispatchMessage() call which is what should be pulled when-custom-point-event in the form. I'm missing something minor and that everything works.  See Oracle Forms java console ATR key followed then path exception at the bottom of this post.  I have to FBean.Enable_Event.  What would be the name of the event listener?   I got the kifani of this example code: https://community.oracle.com/thread/68004------ this example isn't mention or implement a listener.  I just need to return the key and place it in a named text field: test.atr.

• Retrieve the duration of event "Sample profiling method.

  I'm trying to understand how the JMC calculates the percentage of hot methods (which, according to the documentation, is the total time that the application has spent on the execution of code in the method), but the time I recover seem to be always zero and start and end timestamp is the same.   The sample profiling method do not have a duration,

  they are taken at intervals of 20 ms, for example, where a set number of threads is sampled.

  All threads cannot be sampled, for example ones that run native code.

  It really is "the percentage of the total number of samples taken in this method", which can be considered as an approximation of what the aide said "the percentage of the total time that the application passed on the execution of code in the method.

  To get this regroup all the samples with the same Executive, there is not a single sample for each method with a total length of this method.

  If you examine the event log and not activate Java Virtual Machine/method/profiling profiling sample in case types discovered, you will be able to see what kind of data you get.

• "Nobody showed" as search criteria

  I am a photographer of People and have been using Media Pro (in all its versions and its incarnations) each since its introduction iView Media Pro for many years.  Media Pro began not with a 'People' field several years after its creation.  Adobe prefers to use 'Specified person' under the name of the IPTC field.  I'm starting to explore migration to Adobe software for my workflow of database, including Lightroom and Bridge (I already use Lightroom extensively for processing images and publication).  HOWEVER, I have found searching for people or people reported is ridiculously difficult.  I don't know why it's more important search for a picture taken with a particular goal for a person whose name is already in the metadata. This seems totally geek to me.  I wish I could enter the name of a person in the fields FIND or find and get all the images where this name was listed in the metadata in the field indicated person (included into the file) and specify that only this field to search for.  I've tried search in Bridge and in LR, but she returns with this name in various areas, i.e. If I use my name, it will only give me images where I am, but also all the others that have my name in other metadata as the home of Lucien and Lucien vacation, etc..

  I wish well for Adobe to include custom metadata section fields.  All that serves journalists and Stock agencies is not necessarily useful to the general public.

  While the IPTC fields are searchable via the smart collections and the library filter bar, IPTC Extension fields as shown are, inexplicably, not searchable.  Please add your vote and detailed opinion to this bug in the Adobe official feedback forum report: Lightroom: metadata to make extended IPTC available. Community customer Photoshop family.

  There are some workaround solutions:

  -Use of any filter or Data Explorer plugins to find the person field.

  -Use the plugin to search replace transfer to copy the individual field names shown to the keywords applied to the photo.  Then, you can search for key words.  When you use the LR face recognition, it will also add the name you enter as keywords.  So if you plan to use facial recognition, creating keywords for your existing people shown may be a good idea.

• SmartLayout Crash

  I have a situation where I can get always the mosaic runtime crashing by doing what I think is allowed.

  Now what I think is a point very pertintent here is that if I do this in a view and a panel created in the AXML, it won't happen.
  
  The only way I found that this happens if if I do this on a view that has been taken from catalog and delivered to the Director views as follows:

  I wish I could be more specific, I can provide a sample that does, I tried with different tiles and tiles do not seem to matter, the only thing I can see is the population of signage.

  I was able to reproduce this error with my request and will file a bug with the team produced.
