JAVA support

Just bought a new hp printer 500-070 w / windows8.  I'm trying to down load JAVA.  I have to 'get "could not detect proxy network setting'.  What should I do?  Thanks for any help

The Proxy box has not been verified.  I then checked unchecked.  It was working fine.  I am up and running Java.  Thanks for the quick response.

  • Question about the Java Support Oracle professional

    We are an ISV in the Japan. We have products of commercial software that runs on the JRE distributed with our applications.
    The JRE bundled with our application include JRockit and, sometimes, our customer of the unannounced JVM dumps core report,.
    asked to perform the diagnosis and the requests for clarification on exactly what part of our application has caused the dump.
    Unfortunately, we don't have expertise in the analysis of the problems of FMV and this is why we are not and we are looking for professional support, that we have.

    Our question is whether Oracle offers any type of professional support for ISVS regarding including JRockit Java virtual machines?
    If Oracle does, we would also like to know if we are eligible for the program they have, as we are located in the Japan.

    The Oracle Java support, hopefully that's what we need, does not seem to fall into this category, because the details of the support program.
    as we confirmed reading the FAQ document, deals with the named user licenses more and by processor, which were apparently to be purchased by the customer using our product.
    Ask our customer to purchase the subscription just to use our application doesn't seem to be an option.

    We would also like to note what our options are and other software companies to tackle the problem even how to manage any relevant question of JVM reported by their customers due to their applications on virtual machines Java runnig.

    A few days ago we send the message similar to what precedes to Oracle sales email address, but we did not have all the answers.
    Among the partner sales representative oracle actually told us the Oracle Java SE Support enough that we are concerned, that's why we bought the subscription for 1 year for nothing and now we cannot get a refund from Oracle.

    Any response is appreciated, thank you.
    If you are an ISV, please let us know your opinion.

    You are asking in the wrong place. This is a user forum. I suggest that you contact your local Oracle Office. Locking this thread.

  • Java supports the runtime polymorphism?

    Java supports polymorphism of the duration, but will fail if the overridden method is a static method?

    This isn't method substituent. He is hiding method.
    A nonstatic method overridden ignores the reference type and uses the type of the object.
    A hidden static method does not take into account the type of the object and only use the type of the reference.

    Try this and you can see the type of the object is ignored (it is not even check to see if it is null)

    Animal.bark();
    Dog.bark();

    Animal a = null;
    Dog d = null;
    a.bark();
    d.bark();

  • Java support for iPad/iOS

    I know it's a long question/suggestion, but I wanted to give my use case. I have an iPad 2 Air right now, that I use for personal work content and limited content is mainly. I'm certainly interested to go to the Pro 12.9 inches because it has a lot more real estate and has been marketed as the iPad that can replace my laptop. iPad is incredibly close to realize this vision, for me, but with a glaring exception: part of my job is dependent on creating content HTML using a Java plug-in. clearly, iOS and Safari never supported Java and other plug-ins in Safari for iOS and it doesn't look like it is expected to do in iOS 10. If you want to really wonder iPad on something similar to a 4 Surface Pro or any traditional computer, you have to give me all the features that I need on top of everything that I know iPad can do. It's Apple, so I know that you are able to do. If all goes well, someday, you choose to act on it.  Thank you.

    It seems that you are talking to Apple here

    Apple isn't here

    You can tell them that if you post to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.htm

  • BlackBerry Storm Smartphone Versions and Java Support

    Hi all

    According to the information on the Web on Blackberry storm, they only have one 9530 version. Searching on the forums I could see some people talking about 9500 also, see info here. Now we only have one version now? Please correct my understanding.

    According to the information I have the Blackberry storm is released with Vodafone and Verizon. Vodafone is based GSM and Verizon CDMA based. So I guess that the storm supports both GSM and CDMA.

    It may be a silly question but still I ask. As devices based CDMA based generally Brew, I had a doubt, that where we have two versions of the storm, both supported by Java. As we develop applications using JDE4.7 will work on both versions.

    Please correct my understanding and provide information.

    Best regards

    Sandeep

    Hello

    the storm has two features: 9500 and 9530.
    9530 = 9500 + CDMA

    I use now a 9530 in France, where there is no CDMA. It is then exactly as if I had a 9500.

    Modern BlackBerry devices (with trackball or a touch screen) have an operating system that is made up of Java (and), as well as applications can be developed in Java for BlackBerry. You can find valuable information by clicking on the "DEVELOPERS" link at the top of this page.

    Java applets are not supported by the browser.

    Be careful which JDK you are using for your development.

  • Full java support 8 of JDeveloper

    When do we get a Jdeveloper version with full support for Java 8. JDeveloper 12.1.3 allows to use the jdk 8 for testing purposes, but is there any hint of a release date?

    You will not get a date, or a version for this here. Oracle does not disclose this information. As 12.1.3 version I had a version of full merger. It's save to say that it is not in this version. Now all the pieces like SOA, was and... Must be updated for java 8 (or at least certified to use java 8). This will take time and usually results in a new version.

    Java supports two polymorphism of time and duration of compilation. "Overload of the method" is example of compile-time polymorphism. "Substitution method" is example of runtime polymorphism.

  • Will Firefox continue for Java

    I saw where Google Chrome will take end support for Java in their fall 2015 as well as Microsoft will do the same thing with 'Spartan project'.

    Firefox has the intention to continue to support Java in the future?

    What I am making reference to "supporting Java" is in the educational world, we use software that requires direct support for Java for the software to use. In particular, I am referring to Ellucian BANNER and Evision ARGOS.

    Without Java support, we cannot use these two very critical systems unless we continue to hold on the operating systems that are slowly but surely becoming out dated. That is to say... Windows7 and even then we have to disable or refuse updates of the browsers to maintain ease of use.

  • Pogo Java based games will not load with the new update.

    I just got the update last for Firefox 3.6.14. I was always able to use Firefox to play games on Pogo.com. After the update today, I can enter the site, but 90% of the games won't download. Pogo said in their help pages:
    Mozilla has a documented bug filed for Java support in Firefox 3.6.14. Since many Pogo games work on Java technology, it is obviously impacting on Pogo customers who are trying to play their games with the latest version of the browser.
    Is this being addressed and if so what time frame we are looking at? Pogo suggests other browsers, but I prefer mozilla above others. Tbank you, Susan

    You can return to 3.6.13 by downloading and running the 3.6.13 Installer, you can get it from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.13/win32/en-US

    If you install 3.6.13, the next update that you will be notified is 3.6.15
