JavaHelp full text search does not work

I create a project of JavaHelp with 8 HR and have the option of full text search introduced on the market. However, when I run the project and try to use the search function, the hourglass appears and the search is not performed.

I solved the problem!

Research couldn't perform because HR not create JavaHelpSearch files on my system. I have not found the reason why, but I solved the problem by a work around with a batch file that is bound to the jhindexer. After generating all help I create JavaHelpSearch files using this batch file.

Thanks to Pierre for his information on his page for JavaHelp. I already knew this page before, when you search for information on javahelp.

If you have problems with the javahelp you will also find useful information on the website javahelp.java.net/ and in the javahelp http://download.java.net/javadesktop/javahelp/jhug.pdftutorial.

    Hi all

I updated the support of RoboHelp X 5 RoboHelp 7 project and discovered this full text search (using the 'Search' tab in the generated HTML Help) does not work. Each time the "no topics found" message is displayed, even if the word specified in the search field without a doubt shows in several topics...
In my project I can't find any options for configuration of search features. There is only 'Search' tab check properties in the window and turned on in my project.

    Please, help me.
    Thanks in advance!

PS: I am disappointed in RoboHelp 7 own help. I can't find something there... This is so embarrassing... :(

    Hey, snail,

This happens usually when one of the dll that uses the help compiler is missing or not registered. Here are some instructions on how to re - register this DLL from the command line:

    http://frogleg.MVPs.org/helptechnologies/HTMLHelp/hhtips.html#hhc6003

I also recommend that you download and run Diagnostics to help MJ and choose the option "update record all HH 1.x DLLs.

  • Full text search does not work in the CHM file

    Hello, everyone.

I use Robohelp for Word X5.0.1 and Office 2003 to create my CHM file. Full text search worked perfectly, but my boss has spent a day in my workstation installation tips and apparently it has changed some configurations, since then, the search finds nothing, he always comes up with "no topics found" even though I am looking for key words that are in at least one subject.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, or it y ' has a link, but also from the day, I do not hide you get hot spots to hide in the text of words. Thus, for example, an access point which appeared in Word as {bmc button.bmp}, now appears in the form: {bmc button.bmp} Topic_Name. I know in a normal project, we use the show/hide ¶ button in Word, but now, even when he's hiding from the brands of format, it still shows the name of subjects, rather than hide them as well.

I would appreciate your comments in one of these problems, even if they are not related. Topic being displayed names are just annoying, but if there is not connection, the most important is the full-text search to work.

    Thanks in advance.
    Paulo.

Just to register that I solved the problem.

I tried to reinstall HR, but that did not work. I was about to give up when I noticed that an error was to come when I compiled the project: the infamous "HHC6003: the file itircl.dll has not been saved correctly. I found out that only fix you this problem by saving another dll: itcc.dll

Once you solve this problem, the compilation is perfect and full-text search works properly again.

    Thanks for the interest.

  • Why text search does not work for me in Firefox 30?

Tried ctrl + F, command buttons, and even when I type a single character, it always come in red.

Another issue that is minor, but still very heavy on power users, I would say, is that when you ctrl + F, is not to highlight the search immediately/automatically bar. You must click on the search bar, and then enter the text you want to search for.

It turns out as the Restorer Classic theme needed an update.
    Restart of Firefox which solved.

  • Downloaded Firefox 38.0.1 and now edit/search does not work.

The Question above about nearly everything.

I downloaded Firefox 38.0.1 (I'll never learn) and now edit/search does not work. The search at the bottom of my screen bar disappeared and clicking on EDIT and SEARCH does nothing. Also, Ctl - F does nothing.

    FYI, using Windows 8.1.

Someone actually check the compatibility with desktop computers and laptops on the news, or is it more important to be compatible with smart phones?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Try to rename (or delete) the file xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder.

    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. what exactly happens when you try to search for any file or folder? You receive an error message?

Check if the problem persists in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

  • Vista search does not work

No matter what I do, I can't find Vista to work - most of the time, the search will not find the files I'm looking for, although I can see them at the top of the list of files in the directory. I rebuilt the index multiple times with no improvement in the service. In another case, the search will find only files created in October 2009 (that is when I started using Vista), but specific searches do not work in other files, that I moved all the files in this folder to another folder and the result is the same, even if the file is renamed to something different. I also noticed that, in some cases, research fails to recognize a file named re and get back a result if I search the name of the original file (even if the file name has changed significantly).

Simply, research of simple file names which I am accustomed to years of XP do not bring the results I need. I have same useless content search function at all. It was recommended that I find a simple program of research of third party for searches of files, but that's not really answering the question.

I guess I would rather just turn the indexing function OFF set (that I tried), but it does not appear to improve the ability of Vista to find the files I need.

Here are the steps I followed.
    1-install Oracle11g
    Logic 2-installs web
    3. installation of Tuxedo and defined TUX_DIR
    PeopleTools 4-installs in C:\pt8.52 and HCM9.1 in c:\hcm9.1 n Verity
    5. manually created a database named HRSD by using initHRSD.ora and configured the listner and ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME defined and created the spfile.

    6 set the application designer

HCM9.1 is now delivered based on Peopletools 8.51 (since Peature Pack 1, Dec-2010), you should successfully upgrade to make it work on Peopletools 8.52. However, you've made a mistake here, you should not run rel851, but only rel852. Second mistake, being HCM9.1 > = 9.0, you must run rel852un not rel852u. These errors can explain much of the search does not work. Not to mention the copy projects and a couple of AE to run.
Delete the database and restarting from scratch is probably the best way to make you application is working correctly.

  • For Acrobat 9. Editing text tool does not work.

Acrobat 9. Editing text tool does not work - even on documents created with my computer using fonts. Problem 2: when you try to export to Word 2010 there is no option for format Dox, only the .doc that belonged to earlier versions of Word.

When you run the Recognize text command, you can select ClearScan for PDF output style. This then allows to modify the text in the PDF document. Right now, you probably use the searchable Image option by default when running OCR, which creates an invisible text layer in your document under the actual image. That's why the change does not appear in your document, but it is displayed when you export to Word. Here's a little trick that explains what you need to do:

  • Full text search no longer works

    Hello

Suddenly I lost the full text search in compiled HTML Help files. That's where as recently as a week or two ago, but suddenly, it does not work. I can enter a search term, but when I click on "List of topics", I get a message 'not found news. ' I made sure the search words are not in the stop-list, but are in the topics.

Recently, the only change I made was to install Windows XP SP3.

    Any ideas? I've read http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=65 & catid = 449 & threadid = 1277647

    RoboHelp V7, fully patched.
    Thank you
    John B.

Fixed - I reinstalled HTML Help workshop. Apparently, something essential full-text search gets bollixed upward in the XP SP3 update.
