• Newbie BB development question

  Hello eveyone. I hope this is the right place to post this question, but I'm looking for advice. I'm new to the development for BB, but since 3 days I did a lot of reading. The only problem with this is that the more I read more confused I get. I have developed solutions ASP.NET, but never anything like that for mobile devices.

  Here are my thoughts on what I would do:

  -Create a Web page for the BB, which goes to a SQL Server, accessing a view and extracts the data in a data Repeater or a gridview for viewing.

  I have an IIS server running locally and can be viewed on BlackBerry now. I've set up and you can check out. WML and. Pages HTML to it very well.

  My question is this. I read about this plug-in for Visual Studio 2008. I downloaded and installed successfully.

  I do not know the following:

  -Can I do what I would do without BES?

  -What would be the best way to go about this? A few suggestions on what would be the best way to approach this project.

  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  From what you say, you just need Notepad, vim, emacs, any other to design a Web page. The fact that You ' l browse this page with a Blackberry or an iPhone or a Samsung is on top of that.

• New developer - question field object

  I'm new to Java for Blackberry developer world and I'm playing with the RichTextField object. I have the following code which fails and I would like feedback as to what I'm doing wrong:

  It gives me an error saying: can't find symbol putting highlight the STYLE_TRANSPARENT.

  Well, this time, that the error is not the same thing, is it?  There is no setBorder (int) in the field.  You must provide a border.  Like this:

  f.setBorder(Border.STYLE_TRANSPARENT, BorderFactory.createSimpleBorder(new XYEdges(1, 1, 1, 1)));

• LR 6 develop question mode option?

  I'm confused by what appears to be random differences when I use the mode to develop in LR 6. Sometimes, when I process an image a second identical image with the transformed icon appears in the bottom line of the images next to the original image.   Now, it seems to work. The key point is that Javascript triggers generated cascading LOV tampered with, Action of Page handling when the value changed: submit/redirect. (sory when I suggested above, I do not see in waterfall lov handling by APEX)

  The project is now starting to deploy to the production server. When we try to deploy to the production server who made a lot of mistake. As this used widely used project mix ADF faces with
  HTML/JavaScript/CSS/JSTL. I would like to know what are the most error when we have mixed to use each one and how can we overcome them there?
  There is in the project
  
  1 mix of tags html with ADF Faces components
  2. the use of JavaScript/CSS inline
  3. mix the JSF/ADF Faces and JSTL tags
  
  Help me how to address this issues as well as links to useful blog.

  Poor performance because of heavy weight pages. If you were using ADF Faces and your JS addresses the DOM instead of the architecture of client cJavaScript ADF Faces then chances are JS will fail for the components that have changed their HTML output (which has an impact on the DOM structure) or changes are not submitted to the server.

  For CSS, CSS inlineStyle not applay to the DOM element that is external, which means for example af:input the background text color will color the lavel

  + 3. mix JSTL and JSF/ADF Faces tags +.

  Dependa on how you do. JSF has postponed EL syntax, which means that EL resolves at run time, whereas JSTL resolves at compile time. So the race conditions could become a problem

• Muse site has recently developed questions

  I worked on a site of Muse for several months now. I publish via BusinessCatalyst so that my client can display the progress of the site. Everything was going well and in the process of completion. However, since last week, the form of menu and footer of the site are biased and misaligned. The pages look good in preview of the Muse, but are not correct on BusinessCatalyst. Nothing I don't work to correct the problem. I hope that this new problem will correct itself once uploaded to the FTP host. Has there been an update that could caused this? I also tried to download an older version of Muse to see if that helps. I was unable to get it to downloaded (repeated errors).

  It seems that your Muse preferences was broken somehow. Please rename these two files:

  In "~/Library/Preferences" Rename "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2015.1" to "old com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2015.1".

  In '~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Muse CC' Rename '2015.1' to 'old 2015.1.

  The "~" (tilde) in the text above is important. Copy and paste the entire string into the dialog box ' go > go to folder "in the Finder or otherwise be certain that the"Library"folder you look into is that of your user folder.

  If rename these two files gets rid of the error, I would be grateful if you take the time to their zip and send them too us so we can take a look at what has been mutilated and cause this error. Thank you.

• SQLite DB encryption

  I had like to know the details of encryption of a database created via webworks app. So far I've been able to learn from the separate comments in the forum just SQLite DB in Web app works is encrypted by default. I tried to open the database and I don't see that it is encrypted.

  Okay, I checked with some people and I more information now on what is the situation.

  On BBOS:

  [JAVA] In a Java application-SQLite databases are not encrypted by default, but can be encrypted.

  [WebWorks] In a WebWorks app SQLite databases are encrypted by default and there is no API to change or do anything with the encryption.

  The PlayBook/BB10:

  [WebWorks] Databases are not encrypted by default - as they exist within secure application sandbox.

  In the case of BBOS WebWorks encryption is via WebWorks - who called the BlackBerry Java SQLite API to do this. If these docs that I sent on SQLite encryption in Java apply to the WebWorks.
