LR 6 develop question mode option?

I'm confused by what appears to be random differences when I use the mode to develop in LR 6. Sometimes, when I process an image a second identical image with the transformed icon appears in the bottom line of the images next to the original image. Sometimes the processed image back at the end of the images in the bottom row instead of staying where he started. Sometimes when I click on an image processed to copy the settings of the following image the processed image moves to a new location. In summary, I don't understand what I have to do to make the mode of development standard for my use. Any help will be appreciated.

It seems that your XP hangs for some reason any...

Why do we know almost nothing about your system (except a laptop with XP Pro)?  I know this isn't your fault...

Please answer these questions and to implement the following:

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If there is a problem starting, XP is configured to automatically try to start again and you can stuck in a loop not being able to go beyond the screen boot options, or none of these startup options you choose will work only.

Sometimes, when XP has a problem starting or falls down and tries to start again, it will give you a "short" menu of boot options and none of them will appear to be good to get your system going again.  You have tried them all!

The options are similar to the Advanced Boot Options menu XP, but the only option that you need (disable automatic error system reboot) are not offered, because XP went too far during the boot process and offers a limited number of boot options.

If this is the case, you must call Options menu advanced boot yourself until you do not see the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

When you get the XP Advanced Options correct start menu you want to see, he has options on it like these:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Enable Boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
    Debug mode
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

    Start Windows normally
    Reset
    Return to OS Choices Menu

You need to choose in this menu is the option:

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure

Then if XP does not start normally, you will see an error screen with information and clues about the problem and then you can decide what to do next.

If you do not see the automatic restart on system failure option turn it off, you must reset your system and start typing the key F8 on the keyboard until you see her disable automatic restart on system failure option.

If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again and start tapping the F8 key with more urgency (earlier and more frequently) until you see disable automatic restart on system failure, and then select.

You must keep trying the F8 menu until you see disable automatic restart on system failure option, and select it.

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

    http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Answering queries and results report of the disable automatic restart on system failure screen and you can decide what to do next.

  • POLL: Blend mode options in the Brush tool?

layers.pngIt is a survey question for users of all versions of fireworks. In Fireworks 8, I noticed a difference in the properties of the Brush tool depending on whether the selection is an object or mask - in particular, the blend mode options do NOT appear in the property inspector when a bitmap mask is selected, * except * the object was chosen in the first place, as well as the Brush tool.

Please try the steps below and let me know the results:

    1. From the pointer tool, select a mask bitmap image (by selecting its thumbnail in the layers panel) and choose the Brush tool.
The blending mode menu in the property inspector?
    2. Now, with the still active brush tool, select the thumbnail of the object being masked.
The blending mode menu in the property inspector?
    3. Now, select the pointer tool and then re - select the Brush tool.
The blending mode menu in the property inspector?
    4. Finally, select the mask, with the still active brush tool again.
The blending mode menu in the property inspector?

In Fireworks 8 (on Mac OS 10.6.8), the answers to the above questions are, "no, no, Yes, Yes." So it is possible to use the blending mode of the options with the Brush tool when you are working with a mask bitmap image, but it's a complicated process to get these options appear. I'm interested to know if future versions of fireworks exhibit the same behavior. Anyone with a different version, please chime.

    Brush_no blend options.pngBrush_mask w_blend options.png

UPDATE: I still would like to hear from users of Fireworks CS3, CS4and CS5, CS5.5 on this issue! Please take a moment to help. All it takes is a Fireworks document with a bitmap object and a mask (not vector). Don't forget to indicate which version of Fireworks you are using.

Using Fireworks CS5 on Win 7, same results:

    1 NO.

    2 NO.

    3. Yes

    4. Yes, it still seems to work as expected with multiply that blendmode

Maybe the blendmodes are disabled simply because they are not that useful on a mask bitmap?

If its EBS R12.2 then YES - "Change maintainenace mode" option is not there in adadmin menu since we have online (adop) patch in R12.2. This option is removed from adadmin once you activate the correction online.

Can you let us know what tasks you want to put the server mode maintainace?

Not sure, but you can check if you are able to put the server in maintenance manually mode using adsetmmd.sql.

  • Develop a Mode: why some controls do nothing

I recently edited a 150 photos.  I noticed that some controls in develop mode when I do the settings have no effect. Sharpening is a good example. There is no change to the histogram (you can tell by the movement) or in the sample of the above image sharpening.  Changes to the chromatic aberration and noise reduction also no impact.  It depends on the camera, RAW files or what?  This isn't a complaint.  I'm just curious to know if my experience is universal (which I doubt because why would be Lightroom have orders) or the result of my camera, lens, the camera setting or choice of material.

    Thank you

You can view an image at 100% pixels display or higher to see the effects

adjustments you listed. This is normal.

  • View on vCO device development Web mode

I am developing a web vision via the Orchestrator Client in accordance with the documentation.  We took the version 5.5 of vSphere and Orchestrator.  We use the version of the device of an Orchestrator.  The problem I have is my new published content.  I tried several different things.

First of all, with vCO not in development mode, I exported my web pages display, made some changes, imported changes, registered and then published the display of web pages.  When I try to browse the web view, that new content is displayed, it continues to show the old content.  I found that if I restart the service vCO then the new content is displayed.  Of course, it's not ideal because whenever I restart the service he launched me on the client.

Second, I tried to enable development mode by checking the box and put a Web directory of view value in Configuration Orchestrator interface.  No matter what I put in the directory when I try to browse the web view I get a message that the directory does not exist.  All the ways I've tried have been located on our network file shares.  I don't know if I used a path on the server itself it would work.  The problem with that is that I don't have access to system files on this server.  System administrator, I work with that attempted to configure the SCP on the server, but could not get that to work.  We are guessing that it has failed because the device Orchestrator is a SUSE Linux installation with a minimum install.  We also tried mounting a Windows Server share vCO but that failed as well.

While the documentation of this product seems to be quite detailed and useful, completely missing any information related to the version of the device of an Orchestrator.

Can anyone provide any assistance in obtaining either of the options above work?

We finally got things to work.  Here are the steps followed in case someone else runs into this problem.

Created a directory on the device through the console to represent the network share: mkdir/mnt/webviews

On the Windows 2008 R2 server, where the network share is, enabled NFS Sharing. I have no instructions on this as a systems administrator made this part.

Used the mount on the device command to map the share: mount-t nfs IP_OF_Win2k8_Server: / path/to/share/on/Win2k8/mnt/webviews

In the Orchestrator Configuration, in the mode of development and the path of development towards/mnt/webviews

After you follow these steps, I am able to edit the files on the share of windows and see my changes.

  • How quickly the 'Éléments' switch to develop solo Mode

It is really a question about my MAC Air, which has only 900 pixels high.

I have single player mode running as well as develop a Section of the Module (e.g. Basic, curve tone, HSL... etc) is developed by the disclosure triangle at a time.  However, when I want to move to, say Basic retail, (which is the bottom of the screen), I have to move the mouse/trackpad to the right, scroll down, position and then open disclosure for more details.  When sharpening, must make a similar procedure to bring back to base to touch clarity.

I want to know is if there are a few shortcut keys (OMG it takes longer!), which allows you to switch to different Sections in the develop module.  In this case, IT would be good to remember... I know K and R, Q and M... etc but these just get you to brushes/graduates/and cropping

Anyone has any ideas on this?

  • The USB support in offline mode option does not work

I just bought a new netbook NB100, version of ubuntu. The option to recharge an iPod via the USB port (even if the computer is on but is shutdown or standby extended) does not work. I saw that this problem was already recognized by a few critics of the product, i.e.:

    of apcmag.com:
Yet all Toshibaa? s card promised USB 2.0 ports could load connected devices even while the netbook is off (as long as it remains connected to Acre, of course), it could not charge an iPod.

I'm interested to know if there is a way to solve this problem. It is a unique option of Toshiba being mentioned nowhere in their product pages and in the guide.

    Best regards
    Tom

You must set it in the BIOS (F2 at startup). I think it's under advanced in the BIOS menu. Choose Mode 1; If that doesn't work try Mode 2.

  • Only 3 7 table no 'users' or 'Kids mode' option.

I just bought two Lenovo tab 3 7 "for my children.

First thing I tried to do was setup in children mode on them.

But could not find the mode button of the child where he was supposed to be, or the option "users" under settings were there.

After a while, I thought I might have to upgrade to the latest version so that it can work.

But after the update I can not access the tab.

The boot animation runs as it should, but after that the screen is just blank.

What should I do to make this work and reach kids mode?

This video shows the 3 7 tab, which is running 6 Android.

I suppose that you bought the 3 7 Essentialstab, which is cheaper and fewer features. It runs 5 Android and do not have kids mode!

There are so many models (for example "F" WiFi only against WiFi + LTE ' L' versions) it can be quite confusing...

  • the update of the 2.2 defy had a docking station as the droids MODE option?

Hi I was wondering if upadate motorola for challenges to froyo 2.2 has added a new feature DOCK MODE as the motorola droids can't, I saw my phone in standby mode once with a dock mode on it, but when I type it it is returned to the main screen, any ideas how I can turn this option?

    Thank you!

Nothing should be plugged into the microUSB port, there is a magnetic sensor near the port that allows to the docking station. It may have just come up through error, but this is the way to activate it.
