JBOSS/Java

In my Foglight setup I have 8 FMS, air-conditioned and equipped with specific roles. Each of these FMS to receive data from the servers of Foglight Application running the management agent. I installed the remote host, followed through these application servers, but now I'm a bit stuck regarding remote Java/JBoss monitoring.

I think that I have installed the correct cartridge FMS, but I still need help with installation.

It's new for me and I'm much teach myself at work

Excuse me now as there may be many more questions to come...

Thanks for the info.

If you want to try to install them some agents you can install an agent manager and follow the installation process

http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/performance-monitoring/Foglight-administrators/m/Admin-videos/20438467

If you want to paste (JMX) monitoring lets wait for the version 5.9.3 cartridge Java which is due soon and the upgrade.

  • Maven 3 + 2 + EJB 3.1, JBoss AS 7 JavaFX. Is this possible?

Hello guys I'm new to the forum, and I am studying recently JavaFX 2.

My question is: is it possible to create a JavaFX 2 application and make it available on an application server JBoss 7?
I do a few tests of architecture (a single connection) and it's my structure, I'll need JBoss 7 server, EJB 3.1 for the business layer and Maven dependency management. If the JFX is not in this context, I have to change the view layer technology.

So what I do, was the integration of JavaFX 2 with EJB 3.1 (@EJB) and maven, all right here.
The problem is that when I put the module in order to deploy jboss, the following message appears in the log of jboss:

    * "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javafx.application.Application" *.

    The structure consists of:
    -a jar with the business logic layer and the model / database access;
-a jar with a client application in JavaFX.

These pots are in the "deployment" of JBoss and JBoss startup, it creates these pots and provides in the form of modules.
The jar of business begins and that it will be available, but the client does not, which gives the above message.

Note: The same structure work with JSF 2, the only difference is from these that the jar is replaced by a war of customer to customer.

Could someone give me a help or light on this situation?

Maybe a few possible out of this situation, I don't know if it's the best practice, but in order to use separate pots, is able to make an app that can be changed in some areas not having do not need to re - deploying a complete application, whenever a change is made.

    Thank you.

I address your other questions, will not just the class not found.

    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javafx.application.Application

jfxrt.jar is not on the classpath.

Probably, you do not package your application using JavaFX packaging tools (if not the pitcher whose links with your application package manager would have found jfxrt.jar and used).

  • EIM 4.3 1 autonomous in the initial screen of vmware.

I'm playing with the CRUMB and just cannot get the waiter to come.  Based on what I read, it seems like it should work, but when I bring up IE and go to http://server/default or http://server/system I get the following message:

    Cisco's Interaction Manager error
Your request could not be served with success, since there was a connection error to the application server in the Web server.

    The possible reasons are:

    Cisco's Interaction Manager is restarted
    Cisco's Interaction Manager arrested
    Please try again later.

If the problem persists, contact your administrator Manager Cisco Interaction.

Any ideas?  Or if anyone has some notes on how to get the EIM running on VMWare, I would be happy, it's just my butt.

    Thank you

    David

    Hi David

When you start the service ECONOMY open Task Manager and keep an eye on the process, you should see all the cmd process and java, commissioning. EIM needs a lot of resources so if you think the CPU flat lines and crushing services simply to give it more resources. I have mine running in VMWare with 2 GB of RAM I found less and it does not start. If you do not see the kickoff process at all then it is probably a problem with the installation of jboss/java. Your best bet is to check the log:

    C:\CIM\eService\logs

Just have a look through and passed into errors that you see.

  • Can I disable on host large Pages If the Application does not support them?

    Guys,

Ive read any literature on the management of resources, but unfortuntaly can't really get my head around a rather popular issue.

"Should I turn off large pages with the Mem.AllocGuestLargePage parameter?

My workload is 90% JBOSS Application servers running x 64 JBOSS/Java on windows 2008r2 clients

in this environment, each guest has 4 GB of memory, but the workload on each machine is extremely similar, the kind of situation where you expect massive savings in memory caused by the GST. Infact ESXTOP watch 3800 + figures for COWH on these hosts.

Now I know 2008R2 Server supports large pages, but I'm sure that JBOSS for Winodws only (and even if it did, its not currently enabled). Yes, am I right in thinking that, because my application does not make use of large pages, I will suffer any decline in performance by changing this setting? and even if I did it would be negligible? Or the fact that the guest operating system IE 2008R2 this is supported at the level of the BONE and the parameters memory application are irrelevant?

Guests are R815s from Dell, 128 GB, 4 x proc 12core AMD jobs and even sheer theyre only hit 20% CPU while I am getting memory host warnings use in vCenter to 90% + use of memory (shared common = 95 MB!)

If I remember well virtualizationis DMA actually disabled in bios R815, given that there seems to also be a bug where it randomly will not be so active pushing, even to the installer! I read about this on google, and trying to activate on the host has experienced the same problem as others while he is now off. Same IM not sure that this is and if its at all associated, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Any help most appreciated and if any cancelation I did try and learn more about this with some research first etc. before asking

Helps to have a reading of article André recent on the topic (published today), admitted that she, he is destined to VDI workloads, tho ' can help you in your search...

  • Problems of creating Java object in JBoss environment

We are migrating our application from one Oracle/IIS environment to a MySql/JBoss one and most of the things have been properly converted.

However a Java object that is called from a page of the CF is not be created. I've looked everywhere and can't find no logging a problem. I see the classpath in the CF settings. The class runs as expected if called from the command line.

Any ideas as to what to try or where to look for clues?

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the suggestions.

The answer (for me) was to put the .jar files in the directory /cfusion.war/WEB-INF/lib rather than /cfusion.war/WEB_INF/cfusion/lib (which are listed in the class path). What makes this particularly annoying, it's that when you preview of CF settings there is no indication that my pot is in the class path. Well, it works.

  • Send a Blackberry smart phone info to a database on a server using Java?

    Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development... but I now have a project to do.

I want to retrieve the latitude and longitude of Blackberry GPS and send them to a database on a server every 30 minutes.  Also, I want to be able to do without the user doing anything on his Blackberry (I mean, I don't want him to click somewhere every now and them).

I was able to get the latitude and longitude (double) using Java.

I don't know how to get out them of the BlackBerry.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

BTW, I do my testing on a 8310 Rogers using JDE 4.2.1 Simulator.

    Hello

The BlackBerry smart phone needs a 'gateway' to connect to the internet. This white paper is extremely useful to explain all your choices of selection of the good gateway:

Data on BlackBerry 4 Wireless Transport Management - Part 1

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe?func=LL&objid=832210&objAction=browse&s...

Once you have selected the gateway, then you can go ahead and use the Connector.open (url) command to create a HTTP connection to the application server (Tomcat, JBoss, .NET, etc.) on the internet. The application server could then use ODBC/JDBC to store data in the database.

    Hello

I have a maven based application created using oracle WebLogic Maven Plugin. Application uses UCP and I connect the UCP connection details in the application.  Your application is deployed in wls 12.1.3 (JDK jdk1.8.0_45) and it gives java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/dms/console/DMSConsole when you access.

I have dms.jar in dependence of maven pom (manually added to the repo local mvn) and I checked that dms.jar is present in WEB-INF\lib war of the application and dms.jar contains the DMSConsole class under oracle/dms/console folder file.  I use Spring beans to initialize the logging of the UCP. This application works in Tomcat 7.5. There is error in wls 12.1.3 and 12.1.1. Please advice on how to debug / fix...

    Thanks for help ~.

    Dear all,

Because I'm debugging the application, and find out problem occurs is not the problem of generics.

The reason is the pot of the td.abs.external.info.ServiceType has not been added in the web app lib folder.

Until now, the problem is solved, thanks to all.

    Reason:

Type "td/abs/external/info/ServiceType" (the current image, stack [1]) is not assignable to 'td, abs, info, ServiceType.

How do I solve this problem

    Hello

    the error is:

    ; (- nested throwable: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource))

You must make sure that the Oracle JDBC jar file is on the JBoss classpath. You add the jar file to the JBoss server lib directory.

  • JBoss.mq:service = MessageCache is not registered

    Greetings,

CentOS fresh install with JBoss 4.0.5, HQ Agent 4.0.3. Everything has been discovered late, not to mention that JBoss. Even if it comes in resources-server, it displays an error:

The configuration has not been set for this resource due to: invalid configuration: error recovery value: metric not found [jboss.mq:service=MessageCache:CacheHits:java.naming.provider.url=jnp%3A//127.0.0.1%3A1099,java.naming.security.principal=***,java.naming.security.credentials=***]: javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException: jboss.mq:service = MessageCache is not registered.

I can't update the credentials for the JMX console via the web interface, it continues to run above error at home.

Does anyone have an idea what causes this? I have a little more with JBoss 4.x servers where I don't have this problem. (jboss installation is identical on all servers).

I looked around for "MessageCache is not registered" and similar variations, can not really find something useful that would help me to get back on the right track. I don't really know if the problem is with the Hyperic Agent, JBoss, something else?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Try the following steps:

Go to the Administration tab-> default Configuration monitoring
Do scroll to JBoss 4.x and disable metric collection for JMS Message Cache according to the Manual:

    http://support.Hyperic.com/display/doc/monitoring+defaults+configuration

Then try to set up the configuration of the resource.

    See you soon,.

But when I prove the service, the only thing I get is TPENOENT

18:01:11, 888 ERROR [stderr] (http-/0.0.0.0:8080-1) TPENOENT (6): 0:0:TPED_MINVAL (0): QMNONE (0): 0:There no resources imported with name TOUPPER is configured!

I don't know what else to do!

    Thanks in advance

I solved the problem with the TPENOENT.

All the configuration was ok, the problem came from libraries outside smoking. I put them in the package of the ear and not as global libraries in jboss (in the form of plug-ins).

For some reason any if you don't resolve the dependencies of your servlet, ejb... of these libraries, you are out of the context of smoking.

  • JBoss 5.0 monitoring

    Hi all

Im trying to follow an application server os (linux) jboss v5.0 jboass

Could you point me in the right direction, but I still don't see the stats on the dashboard foglight.

If you come to monitor an server application Java the first thing to check is if it is supported by the Java agent.  (if not you can always use a JMX or X).

In your case, JBoss 5.0 is supported

    http://eDOCS.quest.com/Foglight/564/doc/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/HTML/frameset.htm?context=cartridge-app&file=JavaEECartridge-requirements/Supported_Application_Servers.013.5.php&single=true

Instructions on integration with the JBoss application server are listed here

    http://eDOCS.quest.com/Foglight/564/doc/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/HTML/frameset.htm?context=cartridge-app&file=JavaEECartridge-install/ConfigAppServers_JavaEE.018.5.php&single=true

    The summer of them are:

    1. install the cartridge of Java on the Foglight Management Server.

    2. install a Foglight Manager agent on the target computer and startup.

3 deploy the Java cartridge on the fglam that is running on the target computer.

4 create an agent of Manager of Java EE deployment on the target machine.

If you use a standard run.sh you can point the agent JavaEEdeploymentManager scripts and then start the JavaEE Deployment Manager, it backs up the old scripts and change the run.sh

    http://eDOCS.quest.com/Foglight/564/doc/cartridge-app/JavaEECartridge-install/IntegratingAgents.016.06.php#422413

If you use custom scripts, you can start the agent manager of javaeedeployment without specifying the location of the House of jboss but you will need to do the integration manually

    http://eDOCS.quest.com/Foglight/564/doc/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/HTML/frameset.htm?context=cartridge-app&file=JavaEECartridge-install/ConfigAppServers_JavaEE.018.5.php&single=true

The data will be displayed in the dashboard monitor custom applications, BUT you must select a service (all Java EE systems or custom applications will do). You can also check the status agent under the administration page > agents to see if there is a JBoss agent connected to Foglight.

    Hope this helps

Client Oracle is not required when JDBC is used to connect to the remote DB

  • IMC fails during Assembly and the ear of deployment files to the JBoss instance

I installed the ATG 10.0.3 platform and the store of the ATG reference (http://localhost: 8080/crs/storeus) on Oracle Linux 5.8 long with Oracle 11.2.0.1 database, Oracle's JDK and JBoss Enterprise Platform 5.1.0 1.6.0_30 all in the same box.

I run CIM script as follows:

    export JAVA_HOME=/oracle/jdk1.6.0_30
    export PATH=$PATH:/oracle/jdk1.6.0_30/bin
    export DYNAMO_HOME=/oracle/ATG/ATG10.0.3/home
    export JBOSS_HOME=/oracle/jboss-5.1.0.GA
    CD /oracle/ATG/ATG10.0.3/home/bin
    . CIM.sh

The script to connect to the Oracle database, creates the schema and import the data successfully. Then, I create the production instance. All fine so far. The question appears on the step pre-assembled and deployment.

    1. in the CIM MAIN MENU, select [3] Assembly and Application deployment.
    2. in the SELECTION of the INSTANCE SERVER DEPLOYMENT menu, select [A] ATGProduction.

    7. in the JBOSS DEPLOYMENT MENU, select [D] Production to deploy with a lock server
