Jdev 12.1.3: Or substituted by a Clause AND to the criteria

Hi experts.

I detected that the GOLD clause is overridden by AND at the time of execution and in the 'view object Where Clause'.

http://snag.Gy/gYC3H.jpg

Is this normal? I'm doing something wrong? No work around?

Thanks in advance,
Jose.

I can confirm this behavior. Everything seems OK until you close the dialog box. Open again will show a bad request.

Looks like everything is OK...

.. .the generted ViewCriteriaRow is already bad after registration of the dialog (the and the cursor)...

... reopen the dialog box displays the wrong query that is run in this way and you get erroneous results. Only remedy right now is to change the '' AND '' in generating XML 'OR' code like...

... now look at the cursor. Once you have changed the XML to hand it stayrs in this way (until what you edit again the viewCirteriaRow).

If you have a support contract, you must file an SR for this bug!

  • [ADF, JDev 12.1.3] How to hide menu items based on the logged in user

    Hallo,

    When the user logs on successfully, the applitacions led him to the main.jspx page.

    The main.jspx page has a menu bar that contains all of the available menus, submenus and menu items.

    After the connection, when the main.jspx page loads I would hide all the menus, submenus and menu items that the user is not qualified to see/use (I read the database).

    You kindly tell me which is the way the cleaner to achieve?

    Thank you

    Hello rohanwalia,

    Sorry, but I need more help

    I guess that the solution is to create a method in the AM who - reading form the database - returns a structure that indicates for each menu item should be visible or hidden.

    • How can I use the data returned by this method?
    • I call in a managed bean specifically dedicated to the management of the menu? Can I also use the already existing media bean, I created for the page?
    • What scope should have the bean?
    • Don't you think that it is better to define a 'visible' variable Boolean (initilized depending on the result of the AM method) for each menu item and how to bind the Visible property of each menu item to the variable respective in the bean in the bean?
    • Or I can loop the result of the method AM setting the Visible property of the menu items? In this case, I guess that all the menu items must be mapped into the bean by user interface variable. Am I wrong?
    • Is it not possible to write a method which, of the AM directly, hide the menus not necessary on the page (so without using a bean)?
    • In general, which are the correct always to hide menu items:
      • (1) before the page is sent to the browser (as "I can do it with PHP);
      • (2) once the page is loaded in the browser (as I can do it with JavaScript)?

    If you could give me some more detailed advice... I would be very happy.

    Thank you

    Federico

    (1) its best to make the treatment inside the method. You can return the parameters as normal java method.

    (2) Yes, you can use bean already exists in the project. But better to create a separate bean for this task of menu.

    (3) scope should be request unless you need to persist the attributes between requests.

    (4) Yes it is possible. You can define and initialize a Boolean variable with the results you get from the table based on the menu items should be made visible.

    (5) If you use the approach to point 4, then also you have to loop through the table menu items and set Boolean variables of bean. Yes you are right for the second part.

    (6) I'm not sure about this approach. How will you map it to your menu mode. It takes research.

    (7) before the page is loaded. I share with you links in above post with which you can do this.

    I hope this helps.

  • [JDev ADF] How 1) auto - submit search Query Panel when loading the page and 2) 'secretly' proceed to the query a param

    Hello

    in my page, there is a "query with table Panel" created from all the "named criteria | All the attributes of a"of a display object.

    The request of this display object has in its where clause 1 param required.

    When JDeveloper creates the "query with table Panel" it adds to the search also fields that the param required of the View object.

    The user doesn't have to choose the value of the param: I secretly turn the param to query and to hide the search field in the "query with table Panel".

    The query must always be performed with the param I secretly put (reading the value of a managed bean).

    You kindly help me?

    Thank you

    F.

    For this you must intercept the query and add your parameter. You can use the criteria to view "All searchable attributes" for this because this IC is to build implicit and you cannot change it. However, you can create your own CV and imitate the "all attributes searchable" vc. In the t create a new Victoria Cross and all all the attributes of the query itself. One you don't want to see you can hide (like the rohanwalia post).

    Then, you must use the technique described in this blog https://blogs.oracle.com/aramamoo/entry/interpret_af_query_s_queryevent but instead to display the context menu, you set the bean to your hidden setting viewcriteria line.

  • JDev 11.1.2.1 method Execute (with bind variable) before the page is displayed

    Hi all

    I have a view object with a query that uses a variable binding. I drag the data on my .jsf page control to create a table. I create a query method on a bean in sight. The query method uses the content of one of the attributes of the bean to set the link for the query variable:

    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam ("CraIdBindVar", sessionBean.getCraId ());

    I put a button on the page that calls the method of the request and it fills the table. That's fine, but I don't want the user to have to click the "query" button when browsing this page. I found forums dealing with create an AMImpl.jave method, create a link on the page, create an executable file for the link. It works that the method is executed until the page appears. However, the AMImpl method cannot call sessionBean.getCraid () to obtain the data required to complete the binding variable.

    Is it possible to run my method of view range bean before the page is displayed? Or maybe a way for the AMImpl.java method to access the range of view variable?

    Thank you, Steve

    Steve,
    You can drag a call method on the workflow activity. Select the new method call activity, and open the property inspector. Here you choose your bean method in the method property. Now, first of all, you go to this activity of method call, then the page.

  • Jdev 11G ADF BC: rollback and keep the current line problem

    Hello

    I have 2 pages of tabs in the application. The second is a page change that has a master detail data set can be changed and 2 buttons - submit and rollback.

    Submit button is a validated method from the viewImpl.java that will save your changes and keep the currently selected line.
    Cancel button is also validated method of the viewImp and the restoration on the changes and keep the line currently selected.

    There is a validator that is set up for a component on this page. When user input is not valid and that the user clicks on the "Restore" button, the error message appears and stays there until a valid value is entered.

    How can I restore without validating any component. In a Word, how to disable the validator when you click on restore.

    Thank you very much

    Annie

    I would suggest trying to use Steve code as is in the view object in beforeRollback, afterRollback.
    It works very well with the button restore default
    Maybe the problem is that you made the restoration of the Interior of the view object.

  • 11.1.2.3 JDEV 'All' remove choicelist multiselect in af:query

    Hi all

    We use JDEV 11.1.2.3. I have an attribute in the criteria of view which has a control of choicelist type. and I've activated support of the functionality of multiple values in it in the view criteria. So when it is returned to the execution on the search panel, I see the list of choices with checkboxes to select multiple values as well as the ability to select "All".

    Is it possible to remove this value of 'All' of the choicelist?  There are more than 1,000 values in the list, and if the user selects "all", then he throws Oracle standard error ORA-01795 that more than 1000 literals are not supported in the IN clause.

    Pointers are appreciated.

    I'm trying to intercept the choicelist value when the search button is clicked... by substituting the querylistener...

    but the list of test object not give me a string... it prints something like - jfds5sdvv. I tried to get the class of the object list, and he says he's 'class I' which is weird.

    No, it's not weird, '[I' is symbol of array of integers, so you must use something like: int [] yourValues = ((int[]) ac.getValues () .get (0));

    But I don't know if this will lead to values real or just position in the list (of course, it's okay if you just use something like: yourValues.length).

  • Setup removes the junction point NTFS redirect the folder system "\Windows\Installer" on another disk.

    On a computer running Windows XP Professional SP3, I redirected the "\Windows\Installer" system folder, with a junction to a record point in a tree of directories to a different drive.  The operation was conducted and verified using "junction v1.06 - creator of junction point analysis viewer and Windows' published in 2010 by Mark Russinovich. I moved all the files and subdirectories contained in the original "\Windows\Installer' in the target directory (the these files had been previously copied to a temporary directory and after the move, I checked that they were visible in the folder '\Windows\Installer' open the symbolic link with the Explorer).
    Then I launched a system patch, and I discovered that the installation of the update of the software deleted program point junction that I created, deleted all the cache contained in the directory with the name of substitute target different files and recreated the "\Windows\Installer" folder in the original disc.
    I tested this behaviour a couple of times, installing various software and updates, so I assume that it does not depend on the software that is installed but the installation program itself, which cannot handle a point of junction of the folder "install".
    No warning is given before deleting the junction point and all of its contents.  With a similar procedure, I made two points of junction for '\Windows\Downloaded facilities' and '\Windows\Microsoft.NET' and they have exploited properly.
    Out of understanding points do not work on startup, so it is impossible to redirect for example. :

    • \Windows
    • \Windows\System32
    • \Windows\Config

    "\Windows\Installer" isn't one of those cases, and it is not used at startup.

    Is it possible to use a junction point to redirect the \Windows\Installer on another disk/partition folder, or Setup will always delete all the files that have been targeted in the naming of replacement?

  • exclude the search field in the query

    I have create a ViewObject and define a criterion for display in the view object.  In the view criteria, I add a few attributes.  These attributes are displayed in the search of a form Panel.  For one of these fields of research, I don't want to be used directly in the query.  I need to get the value you enter in this field and use the value in the query in a different way (I replace executeQuery() and use programmatically use the value of the entry).  Is it possible to exclude from this field of research to use in the query directly?

    Thank you.

    The user, what version jdev you use?

    It is a delicate approach. You should change the view point criteria clause (and map the original where clause as is). The framework calls the application at different points in time and once you change the query in the executeQuery you have no control what happens after that.

  • Exception when using setWhereClause()

    Hello

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.3

    I need to get a row in the Dattabse table.

    To do this, I put the WHERE clause in the VO using the setWhereClause (String) method.

    Where clause looks almost like

    setWhereClause("Companyid = '"+getCompanyId()+"' and CustomerGroupName like 'Elite' ");

    while I try to run the application, his throw and error as:

    oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: Houston-29114 ADFContext is not configured to process this exception messages. Use the code of exception stack trace and error to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is Houston-27122. Are parameters of error message {0 = SELECT * FROM (SELECT * FROM OFFERRULE) QRSLT WHERE (Companyid = "01616C8F-4430-4F11-9257-B23626C50E99") and CustomerGroupName as 'élite'}

    Why is this happening?

    Kind regards

    Nigel.

    Nigel,

    the error you got is only the analytical error. There is an error detailed in the journal a place that tells you exactly what the problem is (for example table or view does not exist). The summary shows you the statement sql has a problem, so an action you should do is copy the statement and run it from a sql inside jdev worksheet. See is the instruction

    SELECT * FROM (SELECT * FROM OFFERRULE) QRSLT WHERE (Companyid = "01616C8F-4430-4F11-9257-B23626C50E99") and CustomerGroupName as 'élite'

    runs without problem.

    Next step is that you must not build your own where clause. To do this, you must use a ViewCriteria and apply the criteria of the vo, when you need to get the data.

    Hello

    If this information is available through VO you can use Groovy expressions to set the value of default bind variable. In this way, you don't spend it in but access from within the ADF BC himself
