exclude the search field in the query

I have create a ViewObject and define a criterion for display in the view object.  In the view criteria, I add a few attributes.  These attributes are displayed in the search of a form Panel.  For one of these fields of research, I don't want to be used directly in the query.  I need to get the value you enter in this field and use the value in the query in a different way (I replace executeQuery() and use programmatically use the value of the entry).  Is it possible to exclude from this field of research to use in the query directly?

Thank you.

The user, what version jdev you use?

It is a delicate approach. You should change the view point criteria clause (and map the original where clause as is). The framework calls the application at different points in time and once you change the query in the executeQuery you have no control what happens after that.

For a ssample how to address the issue of viewcriteria, where clasue consult http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/08/21/extending-viewcriteria-to-use-sql-contains-4/

In the object view go to the application tab and create display criteria. View, criteria, you can add the attributes you want to use to search for and you can repeat any attribute.

DataControl expand the view--> named criteria object and drag the display on page criteria in the query with Table pane

  • [JDev ADF] How 1) auto - submit search Query Panel when loading the page and 2) 'secretly' proceed to the query a param

    Hello

in my page, there is a "query with table Panel" created from all the "named criteria | All the attributes of a"of a display object.

The request of this display object has in its where clause 1 param required.

When JDeveloper creates the "query with table Panel" it adds to the search also fields that the param required of the View object.

The user doesn't have to choose the value of the param: I secretly turn the param to query and to hide the search field in the "query with table Panel".

The query must always be performed with the param I secretly put (reading the value of a managed bean).

    You kindly help me?

    Thank you

    F.

For this you must intercept the query and add your parameter. You can use the criteria to view "All searchable attributes" for this because this IC is to build implicit and you cannot change it. However, you can create your own CV and imitate the "all attributes searchable" vc. In the t create a new Victoria Cross and all all the attributes of the query itself. One you don't want to see you can hide (like the rohanwalia post).

Then, you must use the technique described in this blog https://blogs.oracle.com/aramamoo/entry/interpret_af_query_s_queryevent but instead to display the context menu, you set the bean to your hidden setting viewcriteria line.

  • Replace the earpiece of the action of the search button in af:query

    Hi experts,

My version of JDeveloper is: 11.1.2.4.0

I did some research by applying an action listener to the search button in the Panel of af: query. I see that you can add a footer to the facet of the query and create a menu drop-down 'add custom fields '. However, I can't find a way to access the search key.

My specific use case is that I am applying an advanced search feature according to a criterion of view to an integrated Office Excel workbook. When the user clicks a button in the Excel workbook, a dialog with the af:query component is displayed. Instead of the user performing a 'search' and then clicking a button to exit the window and perform the download action in Excel, it would be better to have the search af:query search button and close the window.

Is it possible to include an actionlistener to the search of an af component key: query? If not, is it possible to include this feature? Creating a custom search form is out of the question that the source of data that I use a lot of columns. Different users have different search criteria, in order to dynamically add search fields is a must.

    Thanks for any help!

    Try $ instead of #.

  • How not to display variable binding in the query ADF search panel?

    Hello, I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0.

I have a variable binding in my VO, (* required) that I use in the sql query. I put the value of this variable to link through the groovy expression so I don't have to manually put through my page. It works fine but the problem is that it appears in the query ADF Panel that I created in my page. To do this, I created a ViewCriteria and I've specified to display only 3 (other) fields for the simple search. Apart from the selected 3 variable bind shows here again because its value is set. I tried to remove the ' * required ' of the variable binding in the original Version, but in this case I have problems with my sql query.

Does anyone know how this variable is not to display in the Panel request ADF?

    Thank you

  • Missing bookmarks in the smart search field in Safari

Since the release of El Capitan 10.11.6, favorites are missing from the smart search field in Safari to new Windows.  If a Safari any page web (so far), clicking in the search box if poster is Favorites to view icons, as is expected.

Is this a bug, or can I make some adjustments to bring them new windows?

    Thank you!

    Dick

    Hello Dick Huitema.

If I understand your message to the right, when you open a new window in Safari, you do not see your favorite icons in the smart search field.  When I use Safari, I always like to have my favorites available and ready to use, so I can understand why you would be tender for assistance with this.

You probably feel that if Safari is set to open new windows in an empty page. If yours is configured in this way, there is a very easy way to get these favorites icons to show without actually changing any settings. When you open a Web page, you should see a blank webpage with your top search bar and a cursor blinking in the search bar. Instead click inside the search bar right away, click anywhere on the empty Web page and then click on in the empty search bar. You should then see your Favorites icons appear.

Another option is to set your homepage to your Favorites. You can do it in Safari > Preferences. On the general tab in Safari preferences, select the drop-down menu next to "new windows open with", and then choose favorite. This should ensure that when you open new web pages, all your Favorites icons show immediately. Favorites icons always appear in the smart search field when additional tabs are open as well.

    *|*.textbox-input:-moz-placeholder:hover { color:graytext !important; }

    Use in Firefox 19 +:
