[JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish, 3.1.2] My request is not redirect after deployment to GlassFish. Why? It's my fault!

Hallo,

my request to ADF ha a login.jspx and a main.jspx (which contains a menu bar and a dynamic region).

Login.JSPX - control-flow-case: loginSuccess-> main.jspx

<-control-flow-case: logout -.

If the user name and password are correct, the application redirects to main.jspx. To do this the support bean login.java returns 'loginSuccess '.

In main.jspx when the user clicks on the menu item "Exit", the application redirects to login.jspx. To do this Action, property of the menu item is installed to "disconnect".

When I run the application in the integrated JDeveloper WSL everything works fine.

But when I deploy the application on GlassFish the transitions between the two pages do not occur.

I can access the URL directly to the main.jspx and it works properly.

In the error.log of GlassFish, I have found no error.

You kindly help me?

Thank you

Federico

Thanks to this Why doesn't stain navigation flow ' work on glassfish thread I have solved the problem!

The name of view activities in my application is login and main.

I used the URL http://my-pc:8080 / myApp/faces/login.jspx and http://my-pc:8080 / myApp/face/hand.jspx to call the pages and the navigation between them did not.

Everything worked perfectly when I used the same URL without the extension ".jspx.

Ciao,.

    Hallo (Shay),

    I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

    The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

    I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

    So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

    Creating a connection pool

    • I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
    • Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
    • Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
    • What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

    In JDeveloper application configuration

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

    Taking care of the libraries used by the application

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

    Other questions

    • What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
    • Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
    • My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

    These are a lot of questions.

    I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

    Ciao,.

    Federico

    Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

    This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

    I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

    >>

    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

    We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

    Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12 c (12.1.3) supported systems

    Use the properties of project-> libraries and class path to add the jar or create a library and add it to your project.

    Make sure that this library is deployed by default.

    Yes

    Oracle ADF business with several databases components

  • Application of the ADF does not work after deployment to weblogic Server (quartz Scheduler is used)

    I created a Web merger Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7. I use quartz Scheduler that will run the application automatically according to a predefined interval.

    The application works perfectly in Jdeveloper and no problem at all. The problem is when the application is deployed on weblogic server.

    Simply, the Scheduler is not rely on weblogic server and the application is not running.

    Any idea what can cause this problem? any idea would be appreciated, thanks in advance

    You should check the server logs in order to understand what happens when you call the Scheduler. There, you will come to know if there is an error message.

    Actually, it's the only way that outside help me to solved the problem. It has nothing to do with the quartz Scheduler , it was question of jdbc where the connection to the application module was not set correctly. Problem solved with application module configuration changed to use instead of the URL JDBC data source

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] How to get the column headers, request of VO and VO bind vars used by an af:table?

    Hallo,

    I want to create a method that takes as a parameter the id of an af:table (used to display the search results) and returns:

    • the column headings of the af: table
    • Visible property (true/false) of the columns af:table
    • the actual query of the VO instance used to create the af: table
    • the values of real bind variables passed to the query of the instance of VO

    I'm a little confused on who use the code to achieve this... you kindly help me?

    I did a similar qustion here Re: [ADF, JDev12.1.3] how to export an af:table to Excel in an ADF Essentials application? but then I guessed that it was preferable to create a new thread.

    Thank you

    Federico

    For this, you can use this type of code

    Context LocaleContext = _adfTableBinding.getLocaleContext ();

    for (attr AttributeDef: attributeDef) {}

    Label As String = attr.getUIHelper () .getLabel (context);

    _logger.info ("Attritbute name:" + attr.getName () + "column name:" + attr.getColumnName () + "Col4Query name:" + attr.getColumnNameForQuery () +)

    "Name:"+ label);

    }

    which produces this output

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF] My request of ADF will not work on Microsoft Internet Explorer 11

    Hallo,

    Today, I discovered that when I call him my ADF Essentials application (deployed on GlassFish 3.1.2) from a browser IE11 a message telling me that the browser is not supported.

    I read that there is a patch that should apply to the IDE. Could you kindly give me the link where I can download it?

    It seems that the applications developed in JDev 12.1.3 do not have this problem. The fast lane for me might migrate my application to JDev 12.1.3?

    Thank you

    Federico

    You can not. You must purchase a support contract to obtain the fix.

    Only way to make your application work with IE11 would be to use Jdev 12.1.3 which has the "patch" already included.

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF] What is the right link to download the setup of WebLogic?

    Hallo,

    I want to deploy it to a server, my new (and 1) ADF Fusion Web Application developed in JDeveloper 12.1.2.

    I would like to install the application on the machine, but this link WebLogic Server http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/WebLogic/downloads/index.html I do not understand which is the right link for me.

    You could you kindly help me to find the right link for my purpose?

    I need only the server applications.

    Thank you

    Federico

    Federico, do not follow the advice of dvohra21 ! You do not use JDev 12.1.3 right now. You cannot use wls 12.1.3 with your generation of application JDev under 12.1.2!

    If you want to use JDev 12.1.3 (as suggested by Shay and he gets a + 1 on my side) must first download jdev 12.1.3 and see if you get your migrated application. Only if you decide to stat with 12.1.3 you download WLS 12.1.3 and install.

    For JDev 12.1.2 you must download WLS 12.1.2 using Shay link and install. Then you need to install the "Oracle Application Development Runtime Installer" ADR1 2.1.2 runtime (from Downloads of Application Development Framework and select 12.1.2!) on the domain that you want to then deploy your application. After you have installed the ADR 12.1.2 you can create a connection to the stand alone WLS 12.1.2 and deploy your application via this connection of JDev 12.1.2.

    Best practices, however, is to build an EAR file and deploy the EAR file to the stand alone server.

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF] How do I order dynamic region by a menu bar?

    Hallo,

    I saw the video of this useful Shay https://blogs.Oracle.com/Shay/entry/adf_dynamic_regions_switching_just in which succession of dynamic region is managed by creating a "dynamic region link" for each defined workflow to display in the region.

    I would order the change of dynamic region by clicking on the menu to a menu bar items.

    What is the cleanest to achieve this way? Can I use the scope view bean managed which JDev make me create when I drag the first bounded task flows to create the region? I saw every link that I create is added to the partial triggers in the region...

    My page container (in the region) has its own bean support. To manage the region: could I convert the scope of this bean to 'see' and use it? Or is it a good practice creating a bean completely assigned to the management of the region?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Hallo

    This ADF: how to restart a taskflow menu is a good example of creating a dynamic region activated by a menu.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] step-recording-shape built with fragments: validation should not happen when you click on the "back" button

    Hallo,

    I have a btf containing fragments of 4 in the order who are at the stage of the registration form.

    Each fragment contained fields for the same instance of VO. the points of the fields is managed through the property Required for the APP.

    Each fragment has a front and a "back" button to go to the next/previous step (buttonthe Action property is set to the name of the species of specific control flow).

    In each fragment of the automatic validation - occurs when the user clicks the next button if the form is not well filled. It is very good.

    The problem is that validation also occurs when the user clicks the back button: in this case the validation should not happen.

    How can I achieve this?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Have you attempted to immediately assign = true on the "back" button?

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Attribute of EO: uncheck the required box does not reflect on VO (here, it is necessary to change the prop in the bat VO XML). Why?

    Hallo,

    I noticed that when in an OE I uncheck the required box for a field...

    ... do not reflect the changes on the ground of the VO...

    As in the definitions of the VO, the check box is cleared, the only way to make the non-mandatory field is manually change the scope of the definition XML VO...

    I would like if this approach is normal.

    Thank you

    Federico

    I can reproduce this behavior. Fortunately, it is only a display bug. When you run the application the object entity attribute cancels the incorrectly set required field of the VO.

    A user may be confused by this setting, even if it is only a Visual problem, I will file a bug on the ADFEMG issue tracker. WARNING: this incident handler has no attached SLA. If you need a patch for this that you must file a SR with support.oracle.com (paid the necessary support contract).

    Hallo,

    in a tab, I have an af:table readonly manipulated by a form (as long as they are created from the same distance VO).

    The shape is a btf used as dialog box.

    The problem is that when the dialog box is closed the display: table isn't refresh.

    To see the update I need for example to change tab and re - enter the tab.

    In a previous thread Timo told me that maybe I need to update the iterator of FY: table.

    I opened this new topic because I'd like to understand who is safe and recommended to make way.

    The code handles the bean home dialog box 'appeal' is...

      public void onEditEmplFormReturn(ReturnEvent returnEvent) {
        Object confirmOrCancel = returnEvent.getReturnValue();
        if (((String) confirmOrCancel).equals("cancel")) {

    You can link your bean table or get it from ViewRoot by id, and then use: AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .addPartialTarget (yourTableComponent);

    Federico,

    to do this, replace the queryListener one leave this point of a bean method. In this method, you run the processQuery by default and after that set the attribute to disclose the af:query component to false and ppr.

    {} public void processQuery (QueryEvent queryEvent)

    The generated QueryListener replaced by this method

    #{bindings. MyAllCriteriaQuery.processQuery}

    QueryDescriptor qdes = queryEvent.getDescriptor ();

    print or save the view criteria

    System.out.println ("NAME" + qdes.getName ());

    appeal by default query event

    {invokeQueryEventMethodExpression ("#{bindings.", QueryEvent "}") MyAllCriteriaQuery.processQuery};

    Object UIComponent = queryEvent.getSource () (UIComponent);

    Riq RichQuery = object (RichQuery);

    riq.setDisclosed (false);

    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .addPartialTarget (riq);

    }

    Private Sub (string expression, QueryEvent queryEvent) invokeQueryEventMethodExpression {}

    FacesContext fctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    ELContext elctx = fctx.getELContext ();

    ExpressionFactory efactory = fctx.getApplication () .getExpressionFactory ();

    MethodExpression = me efactory.createMethodExpression (elctx, expression, Object.class, new class [] {QueryEvent.class});

    me. Invoke (elctx, new Object() {queryEvent});

    }

    and on the page

    model = ' #{bindings. " MyAllCriteriaQuery.queryModel}"queryListener =" #{QueryTestBean.processQuery} ' "

    Pls help me.

    We found a solution to the problem yourself.

    Our solution:

    On each page that uses the activity to call a workflow in the bindings, we added the executor of the ADF task flows Bindings type - taskFlow.

    The property is set (in my example):

    ID - taskFlowCall1

    taskFlowId - /WEB-INF/taskFlowCall1.xml#taskFlowCall1

    That's all.

    OperationBinding oper = con.getOperationBinding("moveAssets") (OperationBinding);

    Because the method takes a parameter, send the ToLocation to assign it with ParamsMap

    oper.getParamsMap () .put ("vToLoc", resolveExpression ("#{bindings.")) HZLocations1.attributeValue}'));

    oper.getParamsMap () .put ("Param2Name", "Param2Value");

    System.out.println ("Moving asset for:" + resolveExpression ("#{bindings.") "") HZLocations1.attributeValue}'));

    Execute a method

    Oper.Execute ();

    Look for the error after the execution of the method

    If (oper.getErrors () .size () > 0) {}

    Handle any error here

    System.out.println ("error in MoveAssetsbtnBean");

    }

    Update the table of the ADF of material movement hist table

    After you have moved the selected assets - 20150429

    DCBindingContainer links =.

    (DCBindingContainer) BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindingsEntry ();

    DCIteratorBinding iter1 = binds.findIteratorBinding("AssetMove1Iterator");

    ITER1. ExecuteQuery();

    }

    Thank you

    It should be fair enough, yet can you check number of VO lines after the call to the stored procedure to ensure that the data is updated in ViewObject?

    and if t is not then when calling executeQuery on viewObject and then check again

  • Hide the line of adf table based on the transient attribute does not

    I have a JSF page where the user can insert new line in View object . this View object contains a transitional attribute which indicates whether or not the record is newly created.

    On the same page, I have a table adf which is bounded on the city view object . This table should show only newly created records. my approach is to use expression language of in the renditions property to hide all the other lines that are not newly created. I changed the render property for the columns of the table as: rendered="#{row.bindings.RowStatus.inputValue eq'new'}" , but the table does not show anything.

    Then, I tried to change the made not for the column property, but to the outputText inside the same way. It worked, but the problem is that the blank line is always on display.

    So, basically because I do not hide the entire line, instead I'm hiding the text in the lines and lines with spaces empty is still on display in the page aside.

    The Table of JSF page where the made property is applied on outputText inside the column:

    <af:table value="#{bindings.UplodedFilesView1.collectionModel}" var="row"
      rows
    ="#{bindings.UplodedFilesView1.rangeSize}"
      binding
    ="#{CreatSR_UserBean.fileTable}">

    <af:column sortProperty="#{bindings.UplodedFilesView1.hints.FileName.name}"
      headerText
    ="File Name" id="c1">

    <af:outputText value="#{row.bindings.FileName.inputValue}" id="it1"
      rendered
    ="#{row.bindings.RowStatus.inputValue eq'new'}"/>

    </af:column>

    </af:table>

    I use Jdeveloper with ADF technology 11.1.2.3

    Thanks Timo,

    You are right. Its to late to hide lines after stamping in the row set. I solve the problem by filtering the view object, based on the transitional attribute in the section of liaison page. The steps as follows: (assuming that the object from view with the temporary attribute has been created, and the transient attribute contains the filtered values)

    1. Drag the view object on the page and also make the Table (in my case it might otherwise listen)
    2. On the page, go to the connection tab.
    3. Double-click the object desired in the links column.
    4. New window will appear titled with (change the binding tree)
    5. Check the option (enable filtering)
    6. Select the (filter attribute) and (filter value) for the selected filter attribute.
    7. Select (Display attribute) you want to appear in the page.
    8. Press OK
