JDeveloper Hello World Tutorial - Property Inspector question
Already posted in the JDeveloper Forum ( but advisable to post in the Forum OA instead...)I downloaded and unpacked JDeveloper via:
Patch 8431482 JDeveloper 10 G with Extension OA ARU to R12.1.1
The JDeveloper I use is:
Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.3.0.3
Build JDEVADF_10.1.3.3.0_NT_RELEASE
I unzipped JDeveloper in a "jdev" folder on my drive D:\, and project files are stored here:D:\jdev\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects
I am following the tutorial "Hello World":
/jdevdoc/Webhelp/Toolbox/Labs/lessons/Hello/gs_hello.htm
I created a new project:
Name: HelloWorldOAProject
Default Package Name: oracle.apps.ak.hello
And a new Page:Name: HelloWorldPG
Package: oracle.apps.ak.hello.webui
However, when I get to:Step 4. Change the region (upper level) Page layout
It is said:
JDeveloper automatically creates your area of provision of high level for you page when you create your page.
The property inspector in the manual shows various headings:
- General
- Functional
- BC4J
- Navigation
- Visual
- Personalization
On my test version, I only have these topics:- General
Attribute Set
OA Extension Version
File Version
Comments
- User Defined
Attributes 1 to 15
As I don't have the same positions in the property inspector, I can't continue with the tutorial.I was wondering what I could do wrong?
Any advice much appreciated!
Thank you
Hello
When you select the name of the page in the window structure, it will show only the headdings 'Général' and 'User Defined'.
When you select the level region (pagelayout) top of page in the structure window then it will show "General", "Functional", 'BC4J', 'Navigation', 'Visual', "customization" etc.
Kind regards
Naren.

No idea why the Hello World application tutorial will not work in the windows command prompt. Application could build and run successfully in NetBeans IDE. I get the error message below copied when you type 'java HelloWorldApp. I made sure that I was in the same directory as the original java and the class file. Also follows the suggested solutions for error message "Exception in thread"main"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorldApp", I tried to set a specific path and the path of class through environment variables, but nothing has changed.
Current settings (such as mentioned in NetBeans):
Product version: NetBeans IDE 7.1.1 (Build 201203012225)
Java: 1.7.0_03; Server 64 bit Java hotspot VM 22.1 - b02
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
Any ideas what could be the problem? Thank you.

Tutorial of WebWorks Hello World, Webworks SDK tool hangs in the browser
Being very new BlackBerry WebWorks and Cordova, I would please help get implemented with WebWorks Hello World tutorial.
Platform: Windows 7 ultimate x 64 chrome 31.0.1650.63 firefox version m 26, Blackberry Web Works SDK Version 2.0BETA & Blackberry Web Works SDK 1.0.4.11, MomenticsIDE, 3.3.1 - 0.1.2 of cordova, VMWare Player version 5.0.3 build-1410761 using BlackBerry10Simulator.vmdk
Background:
I followed the tutorial began getting ( https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/beta/getting_started.html ) and I checked several times to make sure I did it correctly.
Also, I tried to follow along with the Blackberry guides provided by cordova ( http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/3.3.0/guide_platforms_blackberry10_index.md.html#BlackBerry%2010%2... ).
I tested this problem using Blackberry 10.2.0 Simulator both 10.2.1 in VMWare Player.
Unfortunately, when I followed the tutorial, sure I get to the point in the project when I press save, then chrome & firefox (I tried both) they cling. For more details and photos, you can see my post to http://stackoverflow.com/q/20907450/2115934 and this http://pastebin.com/BjCxHDfB .
Finally, I don't know if this is related, but when I try to run
webworks target add
[ -t device | simulator] [-p ] [--pin ] As described in the section for the definition of objectives, I get this error:
'webworks' is not recognized as an internal or external command
operable program or batch file.This makes me wonder if I was not properly installed webworks, or if I had to set the system path variable.
My system path Variables
C:\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapAPI\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\bin\;C:\Program Files\nodejs\;C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319;Z:\adroidsdk\platform-tools;Z:\adroidsdk\tools;ANT_HOME=Z:\ant\apache-ant-1.9.3;JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45;Z:\ant\apache-ant-1.9.3\bin;Z:\bbndk\host_10_2_0_15\win32\x86\usr\bin;Z:\BB10WebWorksSDK\cordova-blackberry\bin\dependencies\bb-tools\bin;Z:\MomenticsIDE_BBNativeSDK\host_10_2_0_15\win32\x86\usr\bin
I would be very grateful for advice on how to proceed.
This is the output of the variable path on the command line? It is strange to see the ANT_HOME and other variables put there - I'm not sure that should be there, but it would not be the problem here either.
What I see missing is a reference to the new SDK WebWorks. When you ran the Setup program, it must have created a new user named WEBWORKS_HOME Environment Variable that must be set to the location where it was installed. Then, he should have added % WEBWORKS_HOME %; your variable to the path of the user. It doesn't look like that's happened. Maybe you can try to install again and it must put these variables. You can try to add yourself as well but a relocation should include everything that is missing.
This lack of access path variables are why the webworks command does nothing, and because the GUI calls simply orders webworks, thats why that is also a failure.
It is possible that there is a problem with the Setup program if it does not have the permissions required to create these variables.

the property inspector does not
Hello
Newbie question. I'm reviewing a map and you want to see the join criteria between two objects. I told myself it is displayed in the Inspector properties, but for some reason, the Inspector does not load when I go to view > property inspector. Nothing happens! All the other toolbars etc load very well.
It would be a security problem?
See you soon

However, when I click on one of the links in the page, then I get an error
and the page dumps me to our main Login Applications screen.
The error that I get (after clicking on a link) is:
Unexpected URL parameters were detected and will be ignored
And the link I click on Hello World is:

Greeting to all.
JDeveloper 11 g.
Trying Hello world to work but in error.
Here is the code:package helloworld;
Compiles correctly. But when I run it I get no entry at the bottom of the log window bar and I'm getting following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0
public class HelloWorld {
public HelloWorld() {
}
public static void main(String[] args) {
HelloWorld hello = new HelloWorld();
String name = args[0];
String greeting = "Hello";
System.out.println(greeting + " " + name);
}
}
in helloworld. HelloWorld.main (HelloWorld.java:8)
Process has finished with exit code 1.
I'm puzzled. Any suggestion?
Thank you
PS:
(This code is a simplified version of the tutorial Hello World posted here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards/ide_set_1/ccset1_ALL.html)Hello Raman,
probably you run the main method where you found a few arguments (args [0]), and since you did not put everything you found the error.
then right click on the project-> properties-> Run/Debug / Profile-> default-> Edit-> program arguments: insert an argument (for example, the word Raman)Kind regards

Hello world don't show in the list of applications
I got my first demo application: Hello world. It works very well as a tutorial, but when I look upward in option > advanced options > applications, it has not shown in. But it is shown in the applications > modules and cannot be deleted.
What happened and how can I solve this problem.
Thank you all
It is the behavior expected if you like running/debugging to run the application in the BlackBerry smartphone Simulator. If you are installing 'standard', it will fill up here. You can see an overview of the mechanisms of installation here:

I installed the BB_JDE_PluginFull_1.1.1... several times now
It is the Beta 2 of the BB Java plug-in for eclipse v1.1.
I think I followed all the installation instructions correctly.
I created a BB project called Hello World, has copied the tutorial sample code and it seems to do very well, but I get the following error:
Command line error - BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator
----------------------------------------------------
Unknown option: World
Try "flight/Help" using the command line.Any ideas what I did wrong?
Try to rename the project into something with no spaces (such as "HelloWorld")

problem setting env dev on a Mac to run the Hello World application
Hello
I'm having some problems of setting up my development environment and you try to run the "Hello World" application I would be very grateful if someone can help me.
I'm on a Mac with:
+ OS X 10.7.4
+ Eclipse 3.7.2 (Build id: M20120208-0800)
+ Java such as reported by "java-version": versionJava version "1.6.0_33".
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_33 - b03-424 - 11 M 3720)
Java 64-Bit Server VM (build 20, 8-b03-424, mixed mode)As I already had an Eclipse environment, I installed the plugin BlackBerry Java (and all available BlackBerry SDK) following the instructions "add the BlackBerry in Eclipse (Mac) Update site.
https://developer.BlackBerry.com/Java/download/Eclipse?OS=MacIf you follow the tutorial Hello BlackBerry ( https://developer.blackberry.com/java/documentation/first_app_1968215_11.html ), after clicking "Finish."
a dialog box titled "Error - BlackBerry Java Development Environment" appears with the message:"Cannot find RIMUsbJni.dll. Without this dll, that FDI can not connect to the computers active USB pocket.
Add RIMUsbJni in java.library.path ".... with the "OK" buttons and "don't show me this message again."
As I read in another thread that maybe that's because 64-bit JDK is used instead of the JDK 32-bit ( http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Cannot-find-RIMIDEWin32Util-dll/m-p/342343#M... ), I used the OS X 'Java Preferences.app' to set the 32-bit as the preferred Java JRE, but I still get the same error.
OTOH, I still have the 64-bit installed eclipse. Does it really matter? Do I have to remove the 64-bit eclipse and install the 32-bit eclipse to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Replying to myself:
I deleted my 64-bit Eclipse and install the "plug-in for Eclipse BlackBerry" for developers without an existing Eclipse environment. Now it works, I was able to load the app into my BB and run it, so...
It seems that the eclipse of 64-bit cannot be used for the development of Java of BB; the eclipse of 32 bits is required.

icons next to the width and height in the image property inspector
Hello
In
Insert, change and manipulate images in your website using Dreamweaver
Section "Set properties of the image", that means the icon that looks like unlock the average?
I thought that it maintains the width-height ratio when it is locked. But it does not work.
sulfateion wrote:
I tried several times, but the lock seems does not work. When the image is inserted, lock the padlock. Then I can always arbitrarily change the proportions with the mouse by dragging the lower right of the image. Then the lock turned out be unlocked.
Everything works exactly as expected. The lock maintains the aspect ratio only when you change the width or height value in the property inspector. It has no effect when you resize an image by dragging with the mouse. The padlock will appear unlocked as a Visual indicator that the aspect ratio has been broken.
Hold down the SHIFT key when you drag an image to resize has always maintained the aspect ratio.
