  Your friend is crazy. There is no difference between index.html and index.php.

  You can use inclusions in ordinary HTML pages server side too - just google and you will see.

• the .swf and .html files does not work while the .fla file works great

  Hi I'm new to actionscript, and I have a question. The fla file works perfectly and runs the timer function and reads the xml file to create an RSS feed, but when I publish and choose HTML wrapper and then choose 14 Flash swf and html file load the photos and the text field but isn't something else please help.

  A way around that is to have a PHP file on your server that reads the XML feed and your swf reads the data from the PHP file rather than directly from the external domain.

  If you only have the trial version of Dreamweaver, you have Flash? And if so, which version? The Dreamweaver trial version is the full version with a limit of 30 days, so the only reason for which I can see for "editing in Flash" is not is down to your version of Flash, or lack of.

  The guide that you referenced is CS5 and CS5.5. It indicates that you should also well Dreamweaver and Flash for this function to work. In addition, this function does not convert swf into fla that was your original question - it allows you to click on the swf file to then open the original FLA in Flash, then allowing you to edit and export in a SWF again.

  To clarify, to make this feature work, you will need:

  • Dreamweaver (CS3 or later)
  • Flash (CS3 or later)
  • The original FLA file

  I have my swf files which are called in the browser when the user opens the page.

  To ensure that my swf is not used by the user for its other objectives, I got it as a strict view from the HTML page that has a variable. Same variable increased from swf in HTML code.

  If the two variables match only swf then starts preloading. This works very well for the first time.

  But when the user open the same page, second time, is no longer able to view the preloader that does not progress further.

  When I delete my temp file so the user is again able to view the swf only once file.

  Can someone tell me;

  1. What is the reason the swf for the temporary file cannot access variable of its HTML code

  2. I do it wrongly?

  3. do I need to clear the cache every time, or there is another method to do?

  I found the solution.

  whenever I used "Play();" action I changed it with "gotoAndPlay();

  I found somewhere on the net that play, stop the actions sometimes fail with IE & I just replaced "play()" with "gotoAndPlay()" it was like a magical thing and my swf works fine under IE now.

  BUT it does that once the window has passed a certain size... (My swf is 1600px wide)

  I would like, if the viewer has for example a window 1280px wide, the swf is centered in the window with the area of "bleed" on part and on the other...

  I create the background in HTML for this?

  I also use interaction side server via php in the swf file. Can I just change the suffix on my .php .html or it will not be sufficient?

  Yes, I tested with air 2.6, but your code should work for air 1.0 +.  I loaded a local swf using a relative path to the security settings are not relevant.

You download your Captivate content in the LMS. The end user connects in the LMS and LMS, then presents the Captivate you downloaded on it.

  In General, if you had no LMS and were upload Captivate content on the web, you want to download all the output files (.) HTM. JS and. SWF) and then provide a link to the HTM file. The HTM file has sizing instructions presenting the SWF to the right size. In a situation of LMS HTM and JS files have additional code that allows the Captivate feed results to the LMS by establishing a conversation.

• Problem with the publication of a swf and html in CS5 file

  Hey, I'm a newbee in flash. I use Flsh cs5. I created a simple .fla file. But when I publish, .swf and .html file are not created in the folder.

  And when I test the movie (control-> test movie), it does not open any window to display the flash.

  Help, please.

  Click on file/publish/formats settings, make sure that the swf and html boxes are selected, and click the button use default namespace.  then click on file/publish.  are the files in your directory with your fla?

  Otherwise, create a new directory (which has no subdirectory), save your fla to this new directory using a new name (it is, click File/Save as).  then click on file/publish.  see the new directory for your 3 files.

• Loading a swf into an AS2 clip file

  I had some problems with loading a swf into a clip.  The code I use is as follows

  Through the main toolbar select: file-> settings of publication and in the first section (Formats) select the SWF and HTML (.html) options.  When you publish the fla, a html page will be created that contains the embed code that you can use.  The code may require including a with the html page's javascript file so that the integration to work properly.  It must be indicated in the code as well, and the file must exist when the code indicates (it will be created here at the time of publication).

  Hi all, brand new to Flash and I'm used to working with a model Flash written earlier. In this model, there is a search box. My goal is to get some someone puts in this little white search box on my Coldfusion page for further processing. I want it because I know nothing of Flash (yet) and want the variable I need to work with to leave Flash quickly as possible so that I can use it in Coldfusion where I am comfortable on a deadline.
  
  Here is the code that I have which produces at least a promising URL in the browser. After a lot Googlin' I managed to set it up:

  That proved to be the answer of $ 1 million. I came back to report when I read your explanation which reads verbatim what it is and how to solve it. I didn't know there was a tool to help establish a path within Flash, however, it's cool.

  My Coldfusion page now treats this Flash thing search requests with happiness.

  That I was (and still am) lack of understanding as a beginner, how to communicate the different parts of a flash project. Layers? Calendar? PUH-lease. I have trouble with Javascript and never even touched C, which are both the syntax of Actionscript of Flash almost.
