• Satellite P300-1 year - backward and forward compatibility

  fisrt of all thanks in advance to anyone who could help me.

  I had some problems with my Satellite P300-1 year, which comes with Vista Home premium, I think that for some 'bad' something SW installation becomes to be 'unstable' (i.e. help guide disappeared and also search folder no longer works, other things more "spots"...).

  So, since vista is not my favorite one (start too long), I intend to advance towards the back (Win XP, which I already drive), or (windows 7, I need to buy).
  So here's the question: is compatible P300-1 year (I want to say is there every driver available for) under Windows XP or Windows 7.

  Latest: is it possible to upgrade directly WITHOUT doing a CLEAN install (to avoid the backup or re - install SW) from vista to 7 (and if yes which: home, pro, ultimate?).

  You can use both: Win XP and Win 7.
  But I prefer Win 7 because it is the most recent Windows system and the best.
  In addition, Win 7 will build more Win XP and all new applications are designed for Win 7.

  Basically - if you do not configure the options (alternative email, mobile phone number, etc.) before you lost access in any way to your account - you just can't use those.  You had those put in place while you were able to use your account fully - well before that you never had any problems.

  You pretty much the customer service at this point - and - as you begin to realize... you got what you paid for.  ;-)

  Just point as it is.  Coming to you from the point of view-to-peer - a lot of this could have been avoided on your part and it is now, because certain things were not made - a PITA concern.

  Insofar as it is inconvenient to create an alternative email - many people * saying *, but I have a few comments on that.

  -Usually the ISP you use first (dial-up, Cable Modem, ADSL, Satellite, wireless, etc.) not only * gives * you and email address - but probably gives you the ability to create multiple accounts.  Free (well well, in the context of the fact that you pay for your Internet Service.)  What is great about these?  Set you up and you use as a substitute of email addresses for other services so that you can recover your password.  Because you PAY for the Internet Service (and therefore email addresses) - get the password reset account usually is a phone call away - so if you forgot your alternative email address password because you rarely use it - not a big deal.

  Last thought on this... You have an e-mail account free - it is not difficult to create a pair of them and use them as the laternative for the other and vice versa.  I recommend that they find on the different services (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc) - but this way - you have what you need.  Treat one as the REAL alternative and the other as a main line.  The true alternative could also be the email that you use to register for craptastic deals and like it - then all mails going to it instead of your main account.

  When return you to your email - do the wise thing - get this second configuration of e-mail (heck - I have 6 email addresses I always use) and configure all backup plans you can - alternative emails (Yes - you can use several ones) and numbers mobile and security issues, and everything that is offered.  This is a free service - enough so it's self-service or lose.  :-)

  I want to erase the unwanted plugins in Fire Fox. A plugin has even a warning about its use does not (Java Deployment Toolkit).   Hello 4646tm, I understand your frustration. Here's how to remove a plugin:
  Click the menu and then click on Add ons, which looks like a piece of a puzzle.

      Type about:plugins into the Location bar and press Enter to display the About Plugins page.
     Each entry in the About Plugins page will have "File:" and "Path:", showing the name and location of the plugin file. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder shown for the plugin you want to remove.
     Rename the file to add an X in front of the filename (for instance, npswf32 becomes Xnpswf32).
  

  You said that you do not want links, but I'll give you a couple just in case you do not want to uninstall the plugins manually. These links are to pages that tell you how to run the uninstall it please do not hesitate to tell me if you think that they are not useful.

  Follow the instructions:

• I posted a question on Oct. 10 and tried to answer, but got "error on page" so I write again.

  My question was to do a restore operation and I lost the use of the USBs and therefore the mouse.

  I did a scan of the system with Kaspersky Pure and found Trojans. After that, I was finally able to Undo my last restoration, but he always re-did not allow my USB.

  After trying different solutions, I tried again to use "restore to an earlier time", but this time I can't go any further until the day before my "discard" return which is Oct.13.

  I have read suggestions and tried to answer the last 2 pp who took the time to answer (I had already responded to the other 2 responses), but could not.

  The question of Kodak: I tried to create an online album but site Kodak said I should upgrade but it kept failing. I then tried to cancel but couldn't. I removed the Kodak completely and tried to re - install with original disc (I think V3) and who do not have too.

  That's when I decided to do a "restore to previous day" who created the problems mentioned above (due to Trojan)

  I have advanced and registered the dll as suggested and everything worked except regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll, which gave me the message:

  MSHTML was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be saved.

  So at this point, the computer only works with the keyboard, which is slow ennoyingly, and I still can't use any other USB devices.

  At one point, I had removed a USB card that was installed on one of the PCI slot and reinstalled just now to see what will happen.

  Windows 'seen' the card and a message appears to warn me about the "found USB controller" but not "install successful mssg.

  Is it possible that the problem is hardware related? Maybe a change of motherboard might fix this?

  My system is old enough:

  I'm running a Dell Dimension 2400 (I purchases. back in 2004, I think) I had XP home included and upgraded to XP pro. I'm still all original disks.

  BTW, I also deleted the usbhub.sys, usbport.sys, usbuhci.sys, c:\windows\system32\usbui.dll and c:\windows\system32\hccoin.dll and re-installed a new copy without result.

  If I can't find a solution I just re - install everything from scratch, but I was trying to avoid the drudgery of your time as well as having to track down all the original disks.

  We seem not to understand each other? In Captivate 9, you must verify knowledge slides, which, unlike the normal Question slides never will be added to the score because you can even add a note to these slides. In earlier versions, you had to tweak quiz slides to convert slides to check knowledge simulated by removing their score on the Total score.

  I have Captivate 4, and my quiz works fine in Internet Explorer.  I use hot spots, with random question slides, and it works fine when I run from Internet Explorer.  But when I launch Firefox or Chrome, the FIRST time I start the quiz, he shows the first question for just a few seconds and then advances.  However, it does not show anything for me click on advance and it becomes basically hung up.

  If I then go back and re-launch the quiz on the same window, the test works very well and does not advance until I answered the question.  And the certificate at the end captures the score correctly, as well as the partition successfully sent to our database.

  Looks like it is related to the version of actionscript or the flash player version.  Don't know who.  I put it to AS2, and the parameters for the flash automatically reverts to the version 9.  Re-released, on site, then reread reloaded in firefox.  Worked well, except for the certificate, which had flashing fields with no info by them.  Then maybe? This means that I need to find an OLD certificate to use?

  You sign a document that has authentication based on knowledge, applied in it? If so, and if you can't go to questions, then you will need to contact the sender of the document because they can remove it and return you the document.
