Junk files from root directory

I have an ESXi server which seems to have several useless files the (directory / root).

I guess that a wrong script accidentally created these files, but now I'm not sure I can delete and I can remove it.

If someone could post a ls - lah of the (directory / root) 5 ESXi healthy?

Here is mine:

You can go there.  The root folder is a RAM disk, so if you reboot the host it will recreate the directory structure and who should clean things up for you.

    8.3.4 Renaming a Datafile in the Primary Database

    When you rename one or more datafiles in the primary database, the change is not propagated to the standby database. Therefore, if you want to rename the same datafiles on the standby database, you must manually make the equivalent modifications on the standby database because the modifications are not performed automatically, even if the STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT initialization parameter is set to AUTO.

    The following steps describe how to rename a datafile in the primary database and manually propagate the changes to the standby database.

       1.

          To rename the datafile in the primary database, take the tablespace offline:

          SQL> ALTER TABLESPACE tbs_4 OFFLINE;

       2.

          Exit from the SQL prompt and issue an operating system command, such as the following UNIX mv command, to rename the datafile on the primary system:

          % mv /disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_4.dbf
          /disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_x.dbf

       3.

          Rename the datafile in the primary database and bring the tablespace back online:

          SQL> ALTER TABLESPACE tbs_4 RENAME DATAFILE      2> '/disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_4.dbf'
            3>  TO '/disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_x.dbf';
          SQL> ALTER TABLESPACE tbs_4 ONLINE;

       4.

          Connect to the standby database, query the V$ARCHIVED_LOG view to verify all of the archived redo log files are applied, and then stop Redo Apply:

          SQL> SELECT SEQUENCE#,APPLIED FROM V$ARCHIVED_LOG ORDER BY SEQUENCE#;
          SEQUENCE# APP
          --------- ---
          8 YES
          9 YES
          10 YES
          11 YES
          4 rows selected.

          SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE CANCEL;

       5.

          Shut down the standby database:

          SQL> SHUTDOWN;

       6.

          Rename the datafile at the standby site using an operating system command, such as the UNIX mv command:

          % mv /disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_4.dbf /disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_x.dbf

       7.

          Start and mount the standby database:

          SQL> STARTUP MOUNT;

       8.

          Rename the datafile in the standby control file. Note that the STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT initialization parameter must be set to MANUAL.

          SQL> ALTER DATABASE RENAME FILE '/disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_4.dbf'
            2> TO '/disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_x.dbf';

       9.

          On the standby database, restart Redo Apply:

          SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE
            2> DISCONNECT FROM SESSION;

    If you do not rename the corresponding datafile at the standby system, and then try to refresh the standby database control file, the standby database will attempt to use the renamed datafile, but it will not find it. Consequently, you will see error messages similar to the following in the alert log:

    ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
    ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock datafile 4 - see DBWR trace file
    ORA-01110: datafile 4: '/Disk1/oracle/oradata/payroll/tbs_x.dbf'

    Hope that helps.

  • Error in the runing a page after moving jdev file from one directory to another

    Hi all

    I just moved the home folder from one computer to another jdev

    the old road was like that

    C:/jdevhome/jdev/jdev.

    the news is:

    D:/trainees/ABOUTABITAfaf / jdev/jdevhome/jdev /

    I set up the computer in the new environment: I created with the new path environment variable and reconfigured the run setting by giving the new path to the dbc file

    I tried the link and it works

    When I want to start a page, I have this error

    Error: The specified path was not found

    I don't know what is causing the problem. It is clear that somewhere, there is always a relative path to change, but I don't know what to change

    Can someone help me please?

    Open the .jpr file in a text editor and find your old path and replace.

    Update the values for: JDEV_INSTALL_URL & PROJECT_URL.

    Another option is to create a dummy project in the new Jdeveloper and copy your folder (the one inside the the myProjects) and replace.

  • How can I read only text files in a directory.

    I wrote a program to play the files in a directory, but I want to let him read the text files from the directory.

    import java. IO;

    public class {data}

    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args) throws IOException {}

    String target_dir = "C:\\files";

    File dir = new File (target_dir);

    File files [] = dir.listFiles ();

    for (file textfiles: files) {}

    If (textfiles.isFile ()) {}

    InputStream BufferedReader = null;

    try {}

    inputStream = new BufferedReader (new FileReader (textfiles));

    String line;

    While ((line = inputStream.readLine ())! = null) {}

    System.out.println (Line);

    }

    } {Finally

    If (inputStream! = null) {}

    inputStream.close ();

    }

    }

    }

    }

    }

    }

    You mentioned you want to only read text files.

    If you are referring to a specific set of extensions, you can filter on this basis.

    ex: you want to only read .txt files, you can add an if condition as below:

              if(textfiles.getName().endsWith(".txt")) {
                  // Add your code here
              }

    See you soon

  • Listting the name of the files in a directory of files

    Hello

    anyone knows how I can list the names of the files in a directory of files that had my Datasouce file configured?

    Should I include in my package ODI existence returns a list of files in the directotry a short walk

    Ex.: I got a data server 'FILE_CCRS./arquivos_odi/ccrs/in' which directory is "/ arquivos_odi/CTC/in" and the need to
    a list of the names of files are in this directory, some as a result od the comand DIR (see below):

    arq1.txt
    ARQ2.txt
    arq3.txt
    ...

    I need to create something like a variable refress with the above values (name of the afiles)

    Hello
    Use OdiOscCommand or even create the script with below codes file
    ls /home/your_user_name_or_any_source_path/*.txt > /home/your_user_name_or_any_destination_path/filenames.txt

    Code above will create the file.txt file that maintains the list of file name (only the text due to mask file).

    Now you must read filename a file.txt and use this in your variable.

    For windows, you can get the command down the link and the logic to process all the file in the following link.

  • Transfer of files from one folder to another

    Hi all
    I have a problem regarding the transfer of files please help. My problem is there is two files a SHIPMENT and another is the Inbox in a m/c. I want to move/transfer of files from the Inbox Outbox using codes/PL/SQL procedure. Is this possible?
    If possible please tell me how?

    Thanks in advance

    Concerning
    Sanjit Manon

    There is no syntax to move several files at once. You move each file individually and have a loop that goes through the files that you want to move.

    If you do not know the contents of the source directory, which complicates life. The package UTL_FILE does not tell you which files exist in a directory. I prefer a Java stored procedure to list the contents of a directory-Tom has a [example of Java stored procedure | http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0:P11_QUESTION_ID:439619916584]. You can also call a DBMS_SCHEDULER shell script to get a list of directories.

    I'd be a little curious as to why you use PL/SQL to move files from a directory on a database server to another directory on the same server where you also don't know the names of the files that you are moving. This seems like something a little strange to PL/SQL.

  • Get file metadata or the record broken for the root directory

    I used this method to get the metadata from the a site's root directory, it worked last week and now it has stopped working access to the root directory only, other directories are very good.

    http://docs.BusinessCatalyst.com/dev-assets/reference#! / api-settings/system/get-file - folder - info.html

    Navigate to the root directory

    "/ api/v2/admin/sites/current/storage /? meta' - used to work (now get a 403 Forbidden error)

    "/ api/v2/admin/sites/current/storage/images /? meta'-(par exemple) works very well.

    Please fix it as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Hot-patch has been deployed successfully, the problem should now be resolved.

  • you have to copy a file to the root directory...

    IM using winscp to copy a netapp host utility, but it must be copied into the directory "root" and run it from that directory.

    Of course, using winscp, as I can only log in with a user account that I created in esx and not root. How to copy a file to the directory root?

    That's what the Solution says to do, does that mean that I have to copy the files in the root directory?

    ESX host utilities install script fails when it is called in 'su' environment

    Keywords: VMware ESX host utilities

    Solution

    Utilities of the host needs to the environment of the root, or by logging in as "root" or by switching to the root with su - environment

    Installing the utilities of the host in the root environment by running the command: su -

    You can use root - as long as you allow root ssh access - what is advised.

    Another alternative is to download Veeam FastSCP (free) and use it - with this you can authenticate with your user account non-root, but you can elevate your privileges specifying the root account. It is the method and the tool I use. You'll have to excuse my lack of terminology Linux

  • read xml files in the directory, and then extract the words from their

    I looked in the forums of LabView for a problem similar to mine, but I succumbed to find advice, I need.

    Some time previously, I wrote a LabView program to build a dictionary from an array of strings.  It was really just a list of words that I used to make a crude search engine.

    Now I try to repeat this experience.  However, I'm stuck at the first hurdle.  I have a directory containing a number of folders and files, including .xml files.

    What I have to do is read the individual words in the xml files and then merge the words in a large list.  From there, I should be able to make the dictionary, and I hope that my old search engine still works with the new data.

    The attachment shows my unsuccessful attempt to create a VI that can first index all files in a directory (what it is) and then list only files ending in ".xml" (which it does not).

    Any advice on how to get my word out list would be greatly appreciated!

    I suggest you not to remove all the files in the root of the drive because they are system files and they are necessary for windows works properly.

    If he wants to free up space, you can delete the temporary files.

    Follow these steps.

    a. press the Windows key + R.

    b. now enter hit and type temp

    c. now delete all the temporary files.

    d. Similiarly, you can delete the prefetch and %Temp% files by repeating the steps above.

    You can't because C:\ is considered a system folder. It is a question of UAC and is here on a daily basis - see here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/permissions/1821b1b7-19ae-4e15-b414-dd63635e5f94

    I need help pass my Photoshop 7 from my old laptop to my new laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise. I have in vain two routes. I have the installation CD, it does not autoplay. I run Autoplay.exe in the root directory, I'm greeted, I choose English, I accept the EULA, I get the choice window Install / explores, with the install button already selected, click the button in Photoshop, CD towers, and nothing happens. In the 2nd attempt I run Setup.exe in the directory of Photoshop and nothing happens at all the. I'm never even offered the opportunity to enter my product code. What should I do?

    There is probably a problem of compatibility between the old software and the more recent operating system.

    The files boilerplate.css and respond.min.js need to be in the root directory, or can they be in a subdirectory such as css or js?

    The answer is 'Yes', they can be in any directory, as long as you have created the appropriate links so that the files can be found.

  • DW can download the files from the root folder defined bad?

    Can download Dreamweaver inadvertently a file from a local root folder set to the wrong URL?

    I created and uploaded a website ( has) last Monday. This afternoon, I googled a second site, I set up a few months ago (site B). I found it ranked at the top of the page of Google, but Google fourth or fifth entry included the URL of the page 'Contact' of A site.

    I clicked the link and found the 'Contact' of site A page as it should. But when I clicked on the Google cache, I discovered that at one point the site and the Web site B 'Contact' pages (seem to) briefly occupied the same Web page Monday afternoon.

    I don't understand how this could have happened. I did not file for site B last week. I am certain that I didn't wrong download its files to the wrong site. And even if I had, not would be not the whole site - not just a page - have downloaded?

    I hope this question makes sense to someone. I of course do understand.

    Thank you.

    PS I'm using CS4 on a Mac...

    First off I want to ask have you actually checked on the host site to check the structure of the folders in each site? Are the two sites on the same host? Look and see if all of the pages where they are supposed to be.
