  Bravo on the VCP3. There is a free re - take for VCP4 until the end of 2009, and also as a VCP3, you can get your VCP4 by submitting to the examination (no training required) until the end of 2009.

  Congratulations! In order to take the VCP550D, you would have to had been authorized by VMware. This means that you were right here a valid secure Channel. In other words, passing the 550 d would continue this certification. Your PCV should be valid. Take a look to your Mylearn account for secure Channel status and the date of validation.

• Is VDP / VSA covered in the review of VCP510?

  Hello, just trying to confirm if VSA or VDP is covered in the 510 review. I do not see in the action plan, but I know that the ASB has been covered in the review VCP50, but also the VDR.

  I do the 510 instead of the most recent review 5.5 it is because I took the training a year ago / bought 2 books and training videos to help me study for the 5.0 test but then life got in the way so I had to turn it off. I'm willing to review and using the same materials I already bought. If someone can answer to the above, I would appreciate it.

• Just completed the review of design VCDX... Or did I?

  I just returned from the examination of the design, it was quite an interesting review... If the issues were some of the better timed/best thinking questions I've seen.  Not quite as hard as I took it from Scott Lowe validation and Duncan.  Now it interesting after the 51st issue.  52 it is has been discussed here before and the part of the design has been called difficult to work by many people.  Well it was a couple of things I wanted to document in my review (I was at half way through my design on it) and almost discharged earlier, I wanted to see if there was another question or comment section so I clicked on "next".  Well it came with "Finishing Exam" immediately and took me to the page of the score; that showed I had the examination.

  No confirmation that I wanted to do... No comment page, no page asking to see again, just "you spent" (even if you have had a bad design that has made the half).

  If this last part is even ranked?  I really spend?  What should do?

• Best way to pass the name of the e/s DAQmx channel Veristand 2011 Custom Device?

  I'm building a custom device that will run a DAQmx task on the target of RT.

  I use VS2011 and alsoSimple custom device tool, which, at this point I'm not sure if it can work under VS2011...

  I created the fine libraries and custom device (a PWM input called InputPWM) has added to the Explorer from the system.  Running it returns the following error when I deploy:

  On the console, it says that the error is 1026, LabVIEW: Refernece VI is not valid.

  I suspect that a potential problem is that I used a DAQmx e/s in the Configuration.ctl and the InputPWM RT pilot VI.vi in the framework can not deal with this type. So my questions:

  -What is the easiest way to pass the names of e/s to the custom device? For a quick test, I could go to hard code, but a more generic solution would also. Should be based on the address for the e/s MAX? Do I have to create the ctr under the DAQ hardware in VS?

  If you use the tool of easy custom device, just put everything you need inside the cluster configuration data and these data will be in the home page of the custom (for the user to set) device and be available at runtime in the RT device custom code.

  You could have them type the name of the DAQ card and have an array of names for the channels to use. You then create the task running. or something like that. You like.

  So far so good.

  At the end of the course, we have a 5 scored quiz question. After the user passes the test, if it hits the review quiz option, it must go back to the first issue of the "review" rather than to the first question scored.

  You will also need a user variable to track if the user is in playback mode, because no system variable is always available (and request of 'old' feature which makes it ever). And if you don't mind manual labor, just to check if the user is in review mode and go to the next slide. This conditional action must be assigned to all the slides in non-incise question on enter. It will be the same action for all, so it's not that much work.

  No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
  are a few others.

  You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
  Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
  Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.
