Is VDP / VSA covered in the review of VCP510?

Hello, just trying to confirm if VSA or VDP is covered in the 510 review. I do not see in the action plan, but I know that the ASB has been covered in the review VCP50, but also the VDR.

I do the 510 instead of the most recent review 5.5 it is because I took the training a year ago / bought 2 books and training videos to help me study for the 5.0 test but then life got in the way so I had to turn it off. I'm willing to review and using the same materials I already bought. If someone can answer to the above, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

There were too many changes 5.0/5.1 for VSA/POS then most of the content was pulled, other than a very high conceptual level.

  • Just passed the review of VCP510

    Very happy now!

I arrived about 1/2 hour at first and let me take the examination at the beginning which was nice as I am really stressed out.

They are very secure on which they leave.  I had to fill out a form that I've read the rules, got my photo taken and received a dry erasable cushion to take with me.  No phone, no portfolio.  I could keep my keys.

I responded better that I could and the review began just after that the survey questions.  A few questions (very little) were easy, while others I had to re-read a few times just to understand what they really wanted an answer.

You can make sure didn't you miss any of them after having obtained 85 question by pressing a control button.  It will tell you if you have missed issues (skippees by accident I guess) or if you chose only 2 answers when you had to choose 3.  You can also mark specific questions, that you are unsure about to review later.

After the review process, I clicked on end and the system asked me twice if I was sure that I wanted to end because there was no come back after.

Pass/fail screen appears and tells you what the score and if you success or failure and a print out would be given to you upon departure.

    I did it!

I will now relax the rest of the day and have a beer or two.

I took the class in line-live in August so now I guess that I wait until I hear from VMware on my certificate.

I can't tell you how relieved I am right now

    Thank you for the forums

    Congratulations on your success

  • Not covered by the course objectives for VCP5

    Hello world

Followed the course of the ICM this week and although it is very broad, I am aware that the course only covers almost 80% of the objectives of the review for VCP5-VTC

Now, I'm trying to highlight of the bits on the action plan that I need to read up on the last 20%.

Can someone with experience advise all the extra bits to make sure I don't miss anything.

Paranoid I'll miss something so that references to the course book for the action plan.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Karl

You will do it by Karl,

Here is a link to VMware VMwarehands-we-labs. Its a free laboratory offered by VMware for CIM. You will have the same scenarios that was given in the course of the ICM. You can practice and learn.

If you feel its not enough you can always build your own lab helping not only for this but for other certifications advances

  • Qosmio X 500-fault of screen not covered by the warranty?

So as said elsewhere the X 500 series has a certain design/manufacturing fault that allows a "shadow" be visible on the entire length of the screen at the height of the taskbar (so don't not visible in windows, but jobs is full screen, like movies, just terrible).

The attitude of Toshiba is that it is a "limitation of the technology" and not covered by the warranty (which I think is very poor on their part).

    My query is why?

Given their other 18.4 "models (P500 for example) doesn't seem to have this obvious anomaly, and nor other brands models 18". If it was a limitation of the technology like Toshiba said so surely other models/brands that X 500 would have this anomaly?

Personally, I think the excuse of "limitation of technology" is just a COP on part Toshibas who do not want to solve the problem on EACH item, I'm sure that the next model (x 600? whatever) will miraculously not the issue and those of us who have decided on Toshiba will continue to say "too bad".

I searched the net looking for x 500 no descriptions of this "limitation" as we should expect a "limitation of technology" to be as widely reported as their other favorite, the dead pixel but found nothing. It seems this limitation of effects incredibly alone technology Toshiba X 500? Toshiba must think we're gullible.

My fault however maybe done research, can any that shed light on why only the X 500 has such a terrible mistake and no other models?

I don't know if this is the right place for these issues.
It is user forum and I do not think that any of us has access to s secrets Toshiba ;) to see what type of screens are used on the Qosmio X 500.

I don't know if Qosmio x 500 has new generation screens, but I don't know that Toshiba uses better technology for this model of laptop high-end.
In the past all Qosmio notebooks are best of the best in all aspects, materials, software and many other software programs.

Just, I hope not, I am sure, that Toshiba will continue this philosophy for Qosmio range and seems best proof new Qosmio F60.
I like it a lot but leys see how much it will cost.

  • Am I still covered by the Australian consumer law?

    So Hey guys,.

A year ago I had sent my iPhone 6 in for repairs to the Australia, it turns out had some water damage (Yes getting caught in the rain was so much fun) and that it is the only phone I got what I paid 400 for repairs at the Genius bar. The lady who helped me said that although I bought my Singapore phone, since I paid for repairs in Australia, my phone is now covered by right to Australian consumers for the next 2 years (it's been a year since then). However, recently, I checked my service coverage and he said that my phone is not covered by the Australian consumer law, which is incomprehensible given that told me the Lady at the Genius bar. Has anyone had similar experiences? Or advice on what I should do?

I ask this because my audio port on my phone has recently became defective, and I need to get my phone fixed accordingly.

    Thank you in advance!

Not many Australian Consumer Law expert here, maybe check with the Australian?

My charger stopped working yesterday for no apparent reason. The charger is covered by the warranty? And how could I go to get a replacement charger?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello!

Normally the charger is covered by warranty when your laptop is guaranteed.

Contact an ASP (authorized service provider) to get a new one.

  • My HP Compaq Presario is covered under the factory warranty

I have a HP Compaq Presario, which is covered by the factory warranty. I was wondering if it covers the replacement of keyboard, because some keys are loose. I was also wondering if it cover the screen because the hinges are loose and the 'top' is noisy. It's less than a year.

    Hello

Please check that it is still under warranty by using the following link:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/weInput?CC=au & LC = in

Then, you can contact HP to get the keyboard replaced using "Contact HP" at the top of this page.

  • Satellite A300 - Am I still covered under the manufactures warranty?

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A300 off a private person...
Am I still covered under the manufactures warranty? It has not been saved before to the other person.

Each Toshiba laptop is under warranty for one year.
I recommend also to visit the Toshiba page and save your laptop on site for an extra year of warranty.
After registering your laptop is under warranty for 2 years.

You should definitely take this attractive offer!

  • Default setting screen IdeaPad s 100 14IBR (CAT in is not covered by the warranty?)

I just purchased this ideapad yesterday, lol, yesterday

What happened earlier in the morning when I tried to open the laptop

    It tends to lose

I had a cat of support and the person says that it is not covered by the warranty.

I did not open the screen myself, it happens when I flip the cover in the usual way a normal person would do when you want to watch on the screen (unless you're not)

I'm going to visit a service center in the morning, I just want to raise this issue in this forum.

now any illumination that is why it is a joke? This is not due to misuse or whatever, is definitely a fault, the plant problem rather than my own problem.

    This problem is solved.

The service center does not charge me anything to replace it.

It took approximately 3 business days, total 6 days including weekends.

My HP Pavilion dv6-WQ685UA #ABA needs a main battery replacement and is still covered by the warranty.

    Main battery

    Failure ID-U360G0-000624-XD0002J-C0DL03

    Product ID-WQ685UA #ABA

    Replace the main battery.

  • Wear of keyboard is covered by the warranty?

My w520 wear letter keyboard, some letters are worn or partially worn (white print on the keys).

I'm in third year of ownership. I didn't intend to keep for a long time, but I find the 'good old' so hard to share with of 7row keyboard.

I must say also that have more old thinkpad (x 40, 60 x) used and abused again with all the keys like new after 6 years

I've heard that some people in the United States has obtained new keyboards under warranty on their w5xx, free of charge, and no need to send the thinkpad.

Just called my local support from Lenovo (Italy)...

They said that the main doors labels are normal wear and tear and which was not covered by the warranty.

If I want a new keyboard, I must pay, still under warranty.

(Also they told me also that here we don't send you a box to deposit in the thinkpad, but it is the owner who must a generic box itself to source and wrap the thinkpad, they send just the mail.) )

Do you have an experience about it? (labels/new keyboard keyboard under warranty?)

If your keyboard is just worn out, the warranty covers the replacement.

However, if certain keys or mouse buttons stopped responding, it would be a different story. Then you would have the right to call and ask for a replacement keyboard.

I just replace the keyboard on my X220T on my own dime due to several keys very worn - and Yes, the machine is still under warranty.

    Good luck.

  • Broken keyboard key is covered by the warranty?

    Hello

I bought Thinkpad T520 a month ago. Today, one of the areas that hold the key broken Z. The key is still usable but can be detached easily. I used the laptop on a desk only and I have not pressured the keys that could break them. It is a defect of the key and I wonder what are my options on the setting of this knowledge? It is covered by the warranty? Lenovo replace my keyboard? I can't afford to send him to the service for more than a few hours since this is my main computer and I need for all working days.

    Thanks in advance

There is no reason for its failure unless the hammer, a brick or a bottle of whisky was launched on it. So YES would be the answer.

Don't ask them if. Suffice it to say the broke / has failed and you need it fix/replace keyboard.

  • HP pavallion 15e019tx: laptop computer charger not covered by the warranty of 3 years?

    Mr President
I pavallion computer 15e019tx hp laptop that I bought in September 2013 with 3 years on-site warranty for equipment. Now my chager does not work. When I contact support team, they simply said that the battery and charger are not in warranty!
If we are given the charger with the laptop at the time of purchase and there is no separate additional charges for the adapter, then why we are asked to pay for the replacement, if we are under warranty!

This means buying a laptop for around 40 k and then pay for coverage and then your charger is still not covered under the present... when it will stop working, you are to pay about 2 k more...

    one more thing

the address for the authorized service centers and their contact details must be updated on dialy basis... you have no idea how much we - customers have to suffer...

Sorry, but I'm really angry... to get to talk to a representtive through online chat, it took me an hour to connect... and then he said that you are connected to the usa... gave me the link for the number of teams and contact with Indian support (he was really friendly, which helped me). I waited two hours to connect to the chat Indian tech support chat online and then disconnected...

What should I do now? buy a new one and tear up the papers and that Bill saying "3 years on-site warranty..."

or wait for a miracle to happen...

    Hello

Not normally. All sellers are doing the same.

    Kind regards.
